Pope Francis: The Earth Is Sick

This latest poop video is one big exercise into anthropomorphism.  The object being so treated by Francis?  None other than the earth.  In this latest shill for the idol of environmentalism, we hear the Vicar of Christ tell us:

• The earth is sick.
• The earth is running a fever.

Of course, with the possible exception of the poor, we big bad humans are causing all this suffering.  Is this one of the results of Jeffrey Sachs et al, flying on their private behemoth jets to the Vatican to come up with this crap?

He cuts to the chase when he said "dealing with the environmental crisis caused by humans..begs responses that are not only ecological but are also social, economic and political."  Karl Marx couldn't have said it better.  He continues by saying we "must change our personal and community habits...Let us listen to the cry of the earth."

Poor earth, crying like that!  Give it a hanky!  This is such a transparent shill for one world government, socialism, etc that it's a wonder that people won't see through it.  But they don't.  Living in Montgomery County MD, I see the liberal stupidity daily.

Francis, IF you are the pope (and that is a big IF, at this point), please focus on your real job, that is, to save souls and get them to heaven.  If you think the earth is running a fever, you may rest assured that hell will be infinitely hotter.

Francis may have gotten this "cry of the earth" goofiness from this bunch.  It's rather old, but you get the point.  Turn down your speakers when you get to the end!

Catholic #NeverTrump Mindset Is Effeminate

Two weeks ago I wrote that the Catholic Standard had published online the text of Cardinal Gregory's homily, the one he gave while he was cooperating with mortal sin by offering Mass at Father Martin's Outreach 24 gab fest.  For some reason, I didn't think the Standard would be so brazen as to publish it in their print, thus making known their unholy alliance with perversion.  Silly me!  They did!  It's on page 5 of the August 22nd issue.

I saw it in a copy that I picked up after Mass yesterday.  As I read it, I wondered to myself how decent Catholics could read this and yet not be outraged at this overt betrayal and dissidence against Catholic moral teaching.  I mentioned this to someone as I was still somewhat aghast at both the dissidence and apparent indifference of so many Catholics.  Their reply was, "I don't like politics".  I replied that this wasn't politics, but didn't continue further when I realized that the mindset this person was evincing is quite widespread.

Before I go on any further, I remind my readers that this blog does NOT operate under a 501(c) charity.  Thus I can say anything political and even endorse candidates to my heart's content.  Now let us continue..

We are coming up on a presidential race that will be quite pivotal for our nation.  Politics is in the air and that is a healthy thing.  Politics is simply the effort to implement the teachings of Jesus Christ in the public arena.  Our opponents are setting themselves against Jesus and are making efforts to implement their perverted world views.  That mean, ladies and gentlemen, that there will be struggles and conflicts between the two camps.  We Christians must simply harden our noses, thicken our skins, and put some calcium into our backbones.  We must accept the fact that we will get dirt under our fingernails and have the anti-life crowd say (and do) mean things to us.  To those of us bemoaning the scrappiness of politics, may I remind you that politics has become unsavory in large part due to the generations of Christians abdicating their God-given duties to be involved in civic affairs?

At this time we are also facing the wearisome spectacle of Catholics stating that because both candidates from the major parties are morally tainted, that they cannot vote for either one, and thus they will either stay home on election day or vote for a third-party candidate who doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of winning.  I've dealt with this so many times in previous years; I link now to an anthology of posts.

When I wrote those posts, I lamented that no priest was willing to weigh in with a theological or philosophical viewpoint on the matter.  I was delighted to discover that Father Chad Ripperger did so during an interview.  Here is a video of the relevant portion.

Still, the #nevertrump crowd has resumed their tamper tantrums.  Granted, he has made regrettable remarks betraying a reduced pro-life conviction, but he has an obvious pro-life track record.  May I remind one and all that Roe v Wade would not have been overthrown, had not Trump appointed three of the five Supreme Court Justices who trashed Roe?

In that anthology of posts, I described what I believe some of the causes of the weird #nevertrump mindset are.  Now I believe I have stumbled across another.  I believe that #nevertrumpers are operating out of an effeminate mindset.  The word "effeminate" has several definitions, but one is used by St. Paul.   Merriam-Webster has an online dictionary.  The relevant definition is the second one.  So many of the comments in my previous posts involve an over-exaltation of "conscience" as a cloak for mere distaste.

See this quote to the left.  Don't fall into this mental trap.  If you do, you will fritter away not only your own life and freedoms, but those of your children and grandchildren.  You may even be called to account for it at your Particular Judgment.

The Debauched Nihilistic Carnival Draws To A Close

The Debauched Nihilistic Carnival ended yesterday, with word salads mercifully ending - but only for a little while.  It began in Chicago on Monday August 19th.  The invocation was given by Cardinal Blaise Cupich, a kindred spirit to all the progressives in that cesspool.  The text of his speech (I hesitate to call it a prayer) is found here.  Not once did he mention Jesus by name, nor did he remind all present of the need to protect life from the moment of conception.

Perhaps he knew what kinds of "services" were being offered to attendees of the Carnival, courtesy of Planned Parenthood.  PP brought one of their mobile clinics to the convention area and offered free abortions and vasectomies.  Such "services" had to be booked online and the calendar filled quickly.  The PP boasted that they slaughtered ten babies on the first day, demonstrating why the Democrat party is the "party of death".  Another group called Americans for Contraception was also there, displaying a model of an intrauterine device.  The thing was 18 feet tall and was dubbed "Freeda Womb".   Well, they say that manure draws flies, and the Democrats certainly attracted purveyors of debauchery and murder.

Even this wasn't enough for some progressive protesters.  Some pro-Palestinian protesters tore down the fencing that surrounded the perimeter of the convention.  So what does the Chicago mayor do?  Does he acknowledge the security breach?  No!  By some mental contortions common to leftwing people, he laid the blame for that on Republicans, many of whom were nowhere near the Freak Show.

You may have noticed the mention of fences around the convention perimeter.  Isn't just special how the Dems understand the value of fences to protect their little gab fest, but poo-poo the notion of solid walls at our southern borders?  Boys and girls, can we say "hypocrisy"?

There is at least one Democrat who does, and that is Robert F Kennedy Jr.  Several years ago he ruffled Democrat feathers when he refused to jump on the Covid bandwagon and denounced the cootie-jab.  Now, after his own candidacy was submarined by the Democrat machine by much subterfuge, Kennedy denounced Harris/Walz and endorsed Donald Trump.

Sister Agnes Sasagawa, Requiescat In Pace

Sister Agnes Sasagawa, the seer of Our Lady of Akita, passed away on August 15, the Feast of the Assumption of Mary.  She was 93 years old.  Her religious order was the Handmaids of the Holy Eucharist.  She had been ill for some time

She received her locutions on July 6, August 3, and October 13 in 1976.  That last date was the 59th anniversary of the last apparition of Our Lady of Fatima and the miracle of the sun.

The messages of Our Lady of Akita and Our Lady of Fatima are quite similar, warning of world-wide chastisements and urging daily Rosaries and sacrifices to reduce the severity of the chastisements that will fall on all, good and bad.  Our Lady of Akita went into more detail about the inner turmoil that the Church would undergo, regarding corrupt clergy and the resultant strife between different camps of the clergy.  We see that happening in spades today: faithful clerics being canceled by wicked bishops, prelates giving aid and comfort to flagrant perverts, etc.  In 1984, the local prelate, Bishop Ito, declared her locutions to be of supernatural origin and encouraged devotion to Our Lady of Akita.

Sister Agnes, we will pray for you, that any purgatory will be brief.  Please pray for those of us still in the realm of the Church Militant.

London Chief Police Threatens US Citizens For Exercising Free Speech Rights On US Soil

Due to their irresponsible policies of letting their borders be overrun by Jihadist immigrants, London England is dealing with massive riots.  But not to worry!  London Metropolitan Police Chief Sir Mark Rowley is on the job!  He vows to take strict action against...the terrorists?  Nope!  He's going after any who dare to criticize the policies that led to this debacle, as well as the handling of the same.  Several British citizens, most of them decent people, have found themselves beleaguered and even incarcerated for daring to voice their criticisms on social media. 

But wait!  He waxes even more ridiculous.  He's threatening punishment for American citizens - even when they issue their messages from American soil.  He's threatening to have them extradited for violating British law.  I think he'd have a fit if US officials threatened to arrest British citizens for criticizing American policies while on British soil - and well he should.  So by what stretch of logic does he spew forth such threats?

Markie boy, we have some news for you!  On US soil, US law prevails.  The supreme law of the United States is the Constitution, including the First Amendment.  We realize that Britain enjoys no such protection of human rights, but that is not our problem!  Who in hell do you think you are, threatening action on US citizens on US soil?  Will you become a de facto invader or terrorist yourself?

Here is my humble suggestion, Markie!  Why not actually take a strong stance against the rioters in your streets?  That is your job, is it not?  Rattling your saber against Americans speaking out on American soil will accomplish not one damned thing, and you know it.  You're just making yourself look like a tin-horn-tyrant wannabee.  We Americans won't tolerate any such behavior against us, something we made clear on July 4, 1776.

MD's Right To Reproductive Freedom - Trojan Horse For Forced Abortions

As most Marylanders know, we have on our state ballot this November a measure that, if passed, will make abortion and other aberrations a right enshrined in our state constitution.  HealthNotHarmMD.org has been organized and is doing much work to combat this mess.  I urge you to visit it for hints for your own activism and to obtain helpful literature to educate your neighbors, fellow church attendees, etc.

Among other things on the site is the complete text of the amendment.  Please refer to it as you read the rest of this post.  What I will now reproduce here is the official language to Question 1 of the ballot section.

Question 1  – Constitutional Amendment Declaration of Rights – Right to Reproductive Freedom

“The proposed amendment confirms an individual’s fundamental right to reproductive freedom, including but not limited to the ability to make and effectuate decisions to prevent, continue, or end the individual’s pregnancy, and provides the State may not, directly or indirectly, deny, burden, or abridge the right unless justified by a compelling State interest achieved by the least restrictive means.”

It states that the individual has the "right" to make decisions, and that the state cannot interfere unless there is a "compelling" reason to do so.  To the pro-choice person, that seems plain enough, right?  Read carefully.  One of those rights is the right to continue the pregnancy, and that the state, if they deemed themselves to have a "compelling interest", could "deny, burden or abridge the right".  In other words, the state could potentially deny the continuance of the pregnancy, denying the woman's right to do so.  In plain English, this amendment would give the State of Maryland the legal ability to force abortions.

So much for "her body her choice".  The pro-aborts don't believe that rhetoric.  They never did.  I recall one Saturday morning when I was sidewalk counseling in front of a Planned Parenthood mill in Silver Spring.  A young girl, in tears, was being dragged into the mill by her parents.  I called out to her saying that we had help, but the parents were dead-set on murdering their grandchild.  One of the deathscorts said to me that she was "getting good reproductive health care".  I tore into that woman, rebuking her for her obvious hypocrisy and lack of concern for that girl's rights, rightly stating that she was only interested in procuring death for babies.  She didn't answer.  She had no decent answer and she knew it.  

Given the language of the amendment itself, it could also pave the way for forced "transitioning" for those who consider themselves "transgender".  This is happening in various areas of the country.  We are regularly hearing of struggles between divorced parents, with one wanting to transition the child while the other parent struggles valiantly against the forced permanent sterilization of the child.

If this measure passes, we may well see more of that in Maryland, as the gestapo-state will now be empowered to seize women and whisk them away to mills, or to take children from their parents and subject them to brutal "transitioning".  This has been going on in Red China for decades now.  As we become more and more estranged from God, who is to say it cannot happen here?  It already is, or at least the groundwork for such scenarios is being laid.  We must stop it.

Catholic Standard - Competing With The Washington Blade?

The Catholic Standard, media mouthpiece for the Archdiocese of Washington, sunk to a new low in its support of depravity.  It doesn't matter that the depravity originates from the Archbishop of Washington himself.  Those who run the Standard are Catholics and owe their allegiances first to Our Lord Jesus Christ.  I wish I could say that I am shocked, but sadly I am not.

Cardinal Gregory offered that Mass at the perversion celebration at Georgetown last Saturday, and the Standard has the unmitigated gall to publish it.  I suggest you read it simply so that you can learn to work your way through word-salads such as the sorry excuse for a homily that Gregory spewed forth.  There are multiple mentions of the words "unity", "dialogue", "inclusive", and of course, "synodality".

An important aside for the Standard staff - Don't bother to try to remove that page from your website.  By now, the bots have copied the page and its contents.  Once something is released to the internet, it stays there.  

Other words were noticeably absent: words such as "sin", "repentance", "chastity", "Confession".  Of course he praised the attendees for wanting to pursue those dubious goals.  Perhaps Cardinal Gregory forgot that the Church always welcomes the repentant sinner as he/she approaches through the doors of the Confessional.  There is no dialogue with sin and its practitioners, not now and not at God's Judgment throne.  God speaks, we obey.  Period.  God does not accept our sin, and it's high time Cardinal Gregory and his ilk stop preaching that spiritual poison.  Now it's even being spread via the Catholic Standard.

We are pleased that the young men of TFP Student Action were outside the gates of Georgetown this past Saturday to protest this conference and the blaspheming of Holy Mass.  Here are some pictures of their prayer effort.

Pope's Namby-Pamby Response To The Olympics Blasphemy

Pope Francis finally issued a statement about the Olympics blasphemy, if only to salvage some semblance of moral credibility that he may still have in the eyes of some.  Here it is.  Notice that there is not one mention of the offense and insult offered to Our Lord Jesus Christ, nor is there any mention about the inherent evils of homosexuality, transgenderism and other perversions.  There is only some blather about "sensibilities" of religious people. 

Also notice that it came eight days after the fact.  It seems that Francis had to be cajoled into issuing the statement by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.  Erdogan is Muslim.  That is to say, a Muslim displayed more zeal for the honor of Jesus Christ than did the Vicar of Christ.  Such is the disgraceful state of affairs in the Vatican today.  How can that be?

The answer to that last question really isn't so mysterious, considering events of this past weekend in Washington DC.  Recall how Francis enthused over the Georgetown gab-fest.  Oh, he issued his congratulations to Fr. Martin with all kinds of alacrity, didn't her?  Perversion was celebrated at the Georgetown orgy that Francis congratulated.  Now can we see why Francis would be reluctant to speak against that Olympics debacle?

We congratulate the prelates who issued their own open letter regarding the slap in the face to Our Lord.  I understand that more of them are joining them with their signatures; may that list of signers grow long.

We also thank Turkish President Erdogan for lighting that fire under the papal posterior to get him to speak (albeit weakly) like a Catholic - for a change.

Cardinal Gregory To Say Mass For Perversion-Enablers This Weekend

Canon 212 linked to the gushing account of this gay-pandering gab-fest that will happen this weekend, starting Friday August 2, at Georgetown University.  Please note that this account is NOT from the Gay Blade, although one could understandably have that mistaken impression.  It is from the Vatican News.  They printed the pope's greetings to the participants in this gathering that will serve to condone the mortal sins of sodomy and other related perversions.  They intend to "build community and share best practices".

Again, note that the pope did not condemn these mortal sins.  He didn't even offer to the participants an exhortation to remember and to preach the Church's timeless teachings regarding these matters.  He sent "greetings" to Father James Martin, who will be there and is a founder of this "outreach" nonsense.  Here is the text of his note.  Furthermore, the pope is pleased that Cardinal Gregory will be offering one of the Masses at this affair.  At these Masses, how many sacrilegious Holy Communions will occur?  Quite a few, I daresay, and all with the approval of Cardinal Gregory and the Pope. 

"But these people may be trying to live by the Church's teachings," you say?  Well, here is the webpage for this conference.  Look at the "sponsor" section, and notice that a certain Jim O'Connor is a sponsor "in loving memory of his husband Carlos Cuartis".  One may hope that Cuartis had the grace to make a good Confession before he went before Our Lord for his particular judgment.

Ladies and gentlemen, we've known from Day One of his sorry tenure in the Archdiocese of Washington that Cardinal Gregory is an ally of those promoting various sexual perversions.  He has made no secret of that, as documented in previous posts and elsewhere.  We need to pray and act.  This weekend is a First Friday and First Saturday weekend.  These devotions are intended to do reparation for the outrages against both Our Lord's Sacred Heart and Our Lady's Immaculate Heart, respectively.  We must also act by raising our voices and withholding all donations to the Archdiocese of Washington.  Our Catholic dollars cannot be used to fund such sinful conduct.

Paris Olympics Blasphemy, Chariots Of Fire, And Our Needed Response

This weekend we saw the filth pouring out of what was called the opening ceremonies of the 2024 Paris Olympics.  It was nothing short of the glorification of all manners of filth and perversion, and they dared to do so in the context of blaspheming Our Lord's Last Supper.  They did so by having various and sundry perverts posing as Our Lord and His Apostles were depicted in Da Vinci's Last Supper.  To wit?

There was even more filth and debauchery after this initial visual assault, but I need not belabor the point.

Of course good people were outraged and some raised their voices.  Viewership plummeted.  C-Spire, an American tech company that had advertised during the broadcast, issued a press release denouncing this production and stated that they would pull their advertising from the Olympics - for which we thank them.

The International Olympic Committee went into "damage control" mode and tried to mollify the public with this excuse for an apology.

I think the problem here is obvious.  They are actually defending the spectacle.  When they say they are sorry for the offence, they really mean that they are sorry that they are now suffering the consequences for their misdeeds.

Fellow Catholics, and indeed all people of goodwill, action is needed here.  Father Chris Alar, Provincial Superior for the Marians of the Immaculate Conception, gave a homily in which he put forth a number of great suggestions for protest, complete with contact information for the IOC and other key organizations to where we can lodge protests.  Please watch this in its entirety.  I still have more important commentary below the video.

A commenter on Facebook wonders how the Christian, particularly Catholic, athletes from around the world will respond.  Will they continue to participate in this year's Olympics, thus justifying the blasphemy?  

The previous time that Paris hosted the Olympics was 1924, one hundred years ago.  A somewhat similar situation happened there, with an athlete being confronted with a matter of Christian conscience.  That conflict was the subject of a 1980s hit movie called Chariots of Fire.  The athlete in question was Eric Liddell, a young Protestant preacher being a foot racer from England.  When he found out that a race was scheduled on Sunday, he knew that would have caused him to violate his church's teachings on keeping Sunday holy.  He decided not to run, causing quite the stink with the IOC and British royalty.  He was switched to another race that was far less favorable to him, but at least it wasn't on Sunday.  Despite the odds, he not only won the race but set a new world record for that race.

Denominational issues aside, Liddell valued his obedience to Christ more than he valued athletic accomplishments.  How will today's athletes choose?

More to the point, how will we choose?  Can we pray in reparation for the insults to Our Lord?  Can we bestir ourselves to protest as Father Alar suggests in the video?  We are the Church Militant, not the "church mellow".

Tip-Toeing Around The Elephant In The Living Room With Regard To Margo Naranjo's Situation

Below is a video of Bishop Strickland and John-Henry Westen discussing the Margo Naranjo matter.  At last we hear a bishop broaching this topic. While this interview is good in many respects, I believe these gentlemen are allowing an inferior concept of "love and compassion" to dissuade them from discussing a crucial aspect. That aspect is the danger of hell and eternal damnation, with which those parents flirted when they planned to murder their daughter. It is false compassion not to broach that stark reality, one with eternal consequences. 

Can we say for certain that they would go to hell? Of course not. But by the same token we cannot presume that they wouldn't go there, especially when what they contemplated (and may still be planning) is a mortal sin.  Many commentators seem to be falling all over themselves to avoid discussion about sin in this situation.  In reality, they don't serve any good purpose by doing so.

Hopeful Update On The Margo Naranjo Situation

LifeSiteNews has informed us that St. Ann Catholic Church in Coppell Texas cancelled the planned funeral for Margo once they learned that she is not actually dying yet.  Whoever called the church to make that arrangement indicated that Margo was in her final stages of life - in other words, they lied to the parish employees.

A priest contacted her parents to offer support, and to make clear that the Church condemns the withholding of nutrition and hydration as a form of euthanasia.  The parents' guardianship of Margo has been suspended and a court order was issued to prevent the cessation of the food and hydration.  It is unknown whether or not the parents will still attempt the murder of their daughter.

Please keep praying for this situation.  Texas Catholics, please stay alert to this situation.

Attention Texas Catholics! Your Action Needed NOW To Save Margo Naranjo

Who is this poor woman?  She is a young lady who suffered brain damage in 2020 as a result of an auto accident.  Her parents, citing no improvement in her condition, plan to withdraw her feeding tube, depriving her of the basic care of nutrition and hydration.  Like Terri Schiavo of several decades ago, she will be murdered in a most brutal way by her own family.

LifeSiteNews has a more detailed account.  The parents have even scheduled and planned a funeral in early August, to be followed by a "celebration of life".  The Church in which this celebration of murder will happen is St. Ann Catholic Church in Coppell, TX.  This is in the Diocese of Dallas.  

LifeSiteNews is urging us to contact this bishop, "respectfully voicing our concerns".  If by that, they mean that we should assume some overly soft-spoken demeanor, I respectfully disagree.  The time for such meely-mouth, "oh please pretty please" groveling is long gone.  A person is being murdered, and a Catholic Church is scheduled to be used to condone the mortal sin of murder.  I looked at the Dallas diocese website just now, and see not even one mention of Margo's name.  Had we been talking of some serial killer about to face capital punishment, you can rest assured that this diocese would be front and center of protests, prayer vigils, you name it, to stop the execution.  Does not this innocent woman deserve at least that much?

The silence of the clergy in the face of this impending murder is its own deadly sin.  What is the duty of the laity here?  Well, "rebuke the sinner" is a Spiritual Work of Mercy.  In this context, the sinners would be the silent clergy, alongside the murderous parents.

Those of us in other states can offer our prayers, and indeed cause the phone lines of the diocese to melt and their email boxes to clog.  Those Catholics in the Dallas area and in outlaying places can and should do more, with boots literally on the ground.  May I suggest that this August 2nd "funeral" be picketed?  Let's face it; the parents will be mourning, but they will be crying crocodile tears as they will have been the primary agents behind Margo's death.  

They should be shamed.  Perhaps that shame will lead to repentance.  Hopefully they will repent while there is still time to save Margo's life.

Attempt Made On Donald Trump's Life

On Saturday, July 13, 2024 in Butler PA, an attempt was made to assassinate former President Trump as he spoke at a campaign rally there.  Shots were fired.  One grazed Trump's right ear.  An attendee, Corey Comperatore, died at the scene while shielding his family from bullets with his body. Thomas Matthew Crooks has been identified as the shooter.  He was shot dead by Secret Service after he fired his shots.

Trump will not be cowed!

From the get-go, this assassination attempt smells more like an organized conspiracy as opposed to some lone-wolf nut acting on his own.  There is the clear shot that he was allowed to have at Trump, despite all the so-called security.  Even when others saw Crooks on the roof and tried to alert police, they were met with silence.  These are detailed here.  No doubt we will never learn the truth.

Attention, would-be assassins - especially if you are being equipped to do your dirty work by deep-state operatives.  Should you accept their solicitations and their assistance in doing their dirty work for them, you will be guilty of the mortal sin of murder, should your attempt result in the death of your target.  By the grace of God, yesterday's attempt on Trump's life failed.  Mr. Comperatore did die, however, so Crooks has his murder to his soul's charge.  As Crooks was finally taken down by Secret Service personnel, it seems that he would have had little or no opportunity to repent of his crimes.  Even the attempt at murder is its own mortal sin.  I pray he had time to repent, but don't hold out hope that he did.

And that, dear would-be assassin, brings us to our next point.  After your deed is done (or attempted) you will be taken out by those whom you thought you might trust.  You see, they don't want you blabbing to any investigators about them.  You are now not only useless to them, you are a threat to be eliminated yourself.  Oh, come!  If they are so devoid of decency and honor that they'd hire you to commit murder, what in hell would cause you to believe that they'd honor any promise made to you?

Think of Lee Harvey Oswald, assassin of President John F Kennedy in 1963.  Two days later, he himself was taken out.  Think of all those various accomplices of the Clintons who "died mysteriously".  The life expectancy of an assassin is not long, plus there's an eternity in hell that would be in your future.  You'll derive no benefit, only an early death and eternal misery.  You stand to gain nothing from it.

Archbishop Vigano Excommunicated

Today it was announced that Archbishop Vigano was excommunicated as a result of this "extrajudicial process" to which he was summoned and refused to go.  Vigano stated his belief that the decision to excommunicate him was already a done deal prior to his summons.  

This scenario is eerily reminiscent of the incident twelve years ago in my own parish regarding Father Marcel Guarnizo.   After Father refused Holy Communion to an out-and-proud lesbian, his faculties for the Archdiocese of Washington were removed.  He was called to the chancery for a discussion, but as he stated in his account of the debacle, the letter announcing his ouster was already sealed and on the desk of then Auxiliary Bishop Barry Knestout.  During that time I penned and posted an open letter to the Apostolic Nuncio regarding Guarnizo's situation.  That Nuncio was none other than Archbishop Vigano.

I reiterate my call to stand in support of Archbishop Vigano.  He is by no means the first to be excommunicated vindictively.  I speak of saints such as Athanasius, Joan of Arc, Columba, Mary MacKillop.

In researching this matter, I found others who were excommunicated for doubting the legitimacy of Francis' papacy.  I haven't had the time to research these cases in depth, but post these for your consideration.  On Christmas Eve, 2019, three hermits named Father Stephen de Kerdrel, Sister Colette Roberts and Brother Damon Kelly living in Scotland were excommunicated after accusing Pope Francis of heresy in an online statement.  So much for all this "mercy"!

In August 2020, Fr. Jeremy Leatherby, a priest of the Diocese of Sacramento, incurred an automatic excommunication for schism after refusing to recognize the legitimacy of Pope Francis, most notably substituting his name with that of his predecessor Pope Benedict XVI and omitting the name of Bishop Jaime Soto during the Eucharistic Prayer while offering Mass. 

Father Ramon Guidetti of the diocese of Livorno was excommunicated by his bishop Simone Giusti in January 2024 following a new year's eve address shared online in which he denounced Pope Francis as an anti-pope.

So it does not seem that Archbishop Vigano is alone.  He certainly isn't the first.  Will he be the last?  What about Cardinals Burke, Sarah, Muller?  Bishops Schneider and Strickland (with the latter already stripped of his diocese)?  Why him and not Martin, Rupnic, Stowe, etc?  Is this revenge on McCarrick's behalf?  So many questions are begging to be answered.

The Stakes Are Becoming Clearer To All Now

A few days ago, Archbishop Vigano laid bare the case against Francis in no uncertain terms.  Recently, we've also heard from Cardinals Burke and Sarah, along with Bishop Schneider regarding the affronts posed by Francis to the Faith.  The bulk of their recent comments are directed at Fiducia Supplicans, the document penned by Cardinal Kissy-Face Fernandez and signed by Francis.  That document gives the go-ahead for "gay unions".  Given the fact that that to counsel for sin and to approve it are ways of cooperating with sin, the production and the promulgation of Fiducia Supplicans has been inherently sinful on its face.

On June 14, Cardinal Sarah came to Catholic University of America in Washington DC to address some students there.  In his remarks, he held out, as an example to follow, his fellow African bishops who refuse to implement Fiducia Supplicans. owing to its "grave error".  At about the same time, in an interview, Cardinal Burke stated, "we affront the Lord, we show profound lack of respect for Our Lord in love for Him if in some way we try to ask blessing for something that’s sinful."

Bishop Schneider's stance is none too nuanced.  He called Fiducia Supplicans "a mockery of the natural and revealed law of God."  And so it is.  Then he said something very wise, laying bare a part of the insidious strategy of the goons in the Vatican.  He said, "but perhaps creating a state of permanent debate, generalized uncertainty, and doctrinal and practical anarchy, was precisely its aim."  Francis seems to excel at this, to undermine the certainty that has always been a hallmark of God's truth as revealed through Holy Mother Church.

Archbishop Vigano Faces Vatican Kangaroo Court

Archbishop Carlo Vigano, former Papal Nuncio to the United States, has been one of the few prelates to call a spade a spade when it comes to the mischief occasioned by Vatican II and in particular, this current papacy with which the Church is now being scourged.  He has also been a key factor in exposing the former prelate Theodore McCarrick as being not only a sexual predator, but also a facilitator in the progressive rot that has infested the Church hierarchy.

Comes now the news that the Vatican's Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith demanded that Vigano go to the Vatican for an "extrajudicial process" to answer for the "crime of schism".  That phrase "extrajudicial process" is quite intriguing. The "extra" prefix hints that this process does not fall within normal canonical guidelines for a normal judicial process.  Without canonical regulations, anything goes, right?  Unless I am misunderstanding something (could be quite possible), that phrase "extrajudicial process" might just be a fancy synonym for "kangaroo court".

The communication from the Vatican to Vigano can be found on that LifeSiteNews page.  Archbishop Vigano has issued a response, and it is well worth studying.  Every word of it is true.  It can be found at this link.  Should it go "missing", I have saved a copy of it, and suggest that all readers do the same.

Archbishop Vigano is by no means in schism.  He does, however, represent a threat to those who are treating their episcopal authority as their personal plaything, a tool to undermine and even destroy the Church from within.  We are seeing concurrently another manifestation.  LifeSiteNews and other Catholic outlets are reporting that the pope et al are frustrated that the Latin Mass is not withering away.  In fact, interest in it has even increased.  Details are not yet clear, but it seems that even more draconian restrictions are set to be inflicted on July 16.  

This Mass will NOT shrivel up and go away.  It has nurtured many Saints over the last several hundred years.  It is protected by Quo Primum, the papal bull issued by Pope St Pius V.   Other prelates such as Bishop Schneider and Cardinal Burke have stated that the Mass belongs to the Church's tradition and thus cannot be legitimately eliminated.  I wonder - will those two eventually be summoned to their own "extrajudicial processes"?

We need to stand with Archbishop Vigano and these others.  We need to stand for the Traditional Latin Mass and tell these prelates that they must back down.  It is not we who have forgotten who they are; it is they who disregard their own sacerdotal offices.

God Will NOT Be Mocked!

On Monday I wrote of an impending insult to the dignity of the Vatican vis-a-vis some very worldly comedians being invited to a meeting with the pope.  It happened today, and quite frankly, I don't know who offered more insults to our Lord - the pope or the comedians.  The reports go into more detail about what the pope said as opposed to the comedians, so I think that booby-prize goes to the pope.

He gave a pep-talk of sorts to the comedians, lauding their abilities to "spread peace and smiles".  He also said that "you unite people because laughter is contagious".  Full stop!  What kind of "unity" does he advocate?  Unity is not a supreme good, especially when the basis of that unity is evil.  For instance, no one can gainsay that in its early days, Nazi Germany was united.  But that unity was evil as it was designed by Adolf Hitler to further his warped purposes.

He also praised the comedians because they "know how to bring together diverse and sometimes contrary realities".  Another full stop!  "Contrary realities"??  Boys and girls, can we all say "oxymoron??  There can only be one reality, based on objective truth that in turn has its basis in God.  Recall that Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life".  He never said that He was one of several different but equal "truths".  There can be no other "reality" other than what God has created.  I suspect we have here an attempt to legitimize the heresy of indifferentism.

He also told the comedians that it's ok to "laugh at God" as "we play and joke with the people we love".  His comparison is quite faulty, if not downright deceptive.  The "people we love" are our fellow creatures, of equal status as human beings.  Not so God, the Lord and Creator of the universe.  His dignity is infinitely greater than ours.  The love we are to give Him will surpass what we give to our fellow humans.  Moreover, we owe Him reverence, as we would a king if we lived in a worldly kingdom.  

Here he is justifying the downright blasphemous and sacrilegious bile that often oozes out of the mouths of several of these comedians.  One might state that the pope is not aware of that, but I think he is; else he would be a complete dunderhead.  That the pope is suggesting that we should "laugh AT God" is nothing short of a supreme sacrilege.  Galatians 6:7-8 states very clearly that "God will not be mocked".  Anyone who suggests that it's fine to do so, says so to his/her own eternal peril.

The Vatican Is Becoming A Joke - Literally

Pope Francis never got around to meeting with the surviving Dubia Cardinals.  How many years has it been since the Dubia were issued?  Moreover, he couldn't find any time to meet with the much-persecuted Cardinal Zen, who traveled all the way from China for the express purpose of meeting with him.  But with whom does he find time to meet?

Comes now the news that on June 14th, he will meet with a select group of individuals.  Are they superiors of religious orders?  No.  How about theologians?  Wrong again!  He's meeting with comedians from around the world.  Whoopie Goldberg, a rabid pro-abortion person, is among them.  So is Brazil's Fabio Porchat.  He's the one who produced "The First Temptation of Christ", that depicted Our Lord as a gay.  Porchat himself played the role of "the boyfriend", as it were.  Oh, and gay-enabler F James Martin will also be in attendance.

So what does this tell you about the pope's priorities?  Clearly he doesn't take seriously the charge that Jesus gave to Peter and his successors.  If you haven't noticed by now, Francis is doing his level best to besmirch Holy Mother Church and to turn the Bride of Christ into an abysmal joke.  We need to wake up and we need to so yesterday.

The Den Of Iniquity Known As The State Of Maryland

Three recent happenings served to remind me that my home state is quickly swirling down the sinkhole of immorality into decadence and insanity.

First came the news that last Saturday June 1, two dead babies were found on a Metro Transit Authority bus in Baltimore.  This news account calls them fetuses and officials are saying that they were stillborn.  The usage of the term "fetus" suggests that the babies were below the normal age of birth.  Now how, oh how, did these babies get onto the bus?  Presumably no woman went into labor, for surely someone would have noticed that.  Did someone do one of those telemed abortions and then just think that a bus would be a convenient dumping ground for their poor dead babies?  So far, the pro-abortion city officials are keeping mum about their findings.  This is not the first time that some poor child was just dumped as so much refuse.  As these pill-induced abortions increase, so will these incidents increase.

Then the Miss Maryland Beauty Pageant happened this week.  The winner is Bailey Ann Kennedy, a so-called "transgender woman".  That's right, the winner of that dubious crown is a guy.  The authorities should be utterly ashamed of themselves for letting an obviously confused guy even enter, let alone win.  More disgraceful is the slobbering and adulation that he (yes, he, not she) is receiving.  He'll go on to compete in the Miss America Pageant.  Wanna bet that the politically correct lemmings will let him win it?

Speaking of all manners of sexual perversions, we all know that June is "pride month".  Some locales will even have "pride parades", with parade participants appearing in all manners of garish dress or various degrees of nudity.  The garish dress is preferable for at least they aren't exposing themselves, but I digress.

I live in Montgomery County.  As most people know, we got hit with some tornadoes two days ago.  One touched down less than five miles to me.  No one was killed, but much havoc was wreaked.  Today our County Executive, Marc Elrich, a hardcore progressive, put out his weekly update.  In talking about the tornadoes, he blamed them on.. you guessed it!  CLIMATE CHANGE!  What else?

In that same update, he waxed lyrical about pride month.  He related, with stinking pride, how he raised the "pride flag" in Silver Spring, then went on to list other pride-related debaucheries planned in various locales in the County.  

That brings me to this rather common-sense observation.  To the progressive trolls who are reading this blog (I know you're out there), would you please suggest to Marc the Dear Leader that maybe, just maybe, the tornadoes might be a shot across the bow from our much-offended God who will not tolerate the baby-slaughter and disobedience to His commands much longer?

May 29th Was A Very Special Day! Yes, Really!

Why was May 29th so special?  Because it was the first ever (drum roll and trumpets, please),

MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY!

Ta-da!  Thus sayeth our overlords at the Department of Labor as they search for ever-new and innovative ways to squander put our tax dollars to frivolous good use!

Take a good look at that link and see how politically correct they are.  Even though only women can menstruate, they carefully avoid the word "woman".  Instead, we are "menstruating persons" or "menstruators".

Menstruators!  What a word!  Is this what the feminist movement was really about, that the word "woman" became one of the new unmentionables?  Can you just imagine what the late Helen Reddy would do with her iconic song?

"I am menstrator.  Hear me roar in numbers too big to ignore... I am strong.  I am invincible.  I am menstruating person!"   Somehow it just doesn't have the same sound to it!

The Department of Labor is a colossal waste of tax dollars. 

Here's a fun little exercise.  Below is Helen Reddy's song, with lyrics.  Join with the singing, but substitute "menstruator" for woman.  Feminists, you did this to yourselves, and us too.

President Trump - Latest Kangaroo Court Target

After the Garland 9 were tried for their roles in a clinic rescue last August, we knew we would see more kangaroo trials.  Today former President Donald Trump was the latest victim of another kangaroo court that progressives seem to be producing with increasing blatancy.  In New York City, he was found guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying documents in hush money matters.

If it sounds confusing to you, you're not the only one.  Anticipating such confusion on the part of jurors, the judge told them that they need not agree amongst themselves just what specific crime was at issue.  According to the AP, all the jury had to do was to agree that "something unlawful was done to promote Trump's election campaign", and it wasn't necessary to agree on that "something".  The judge gave them three categories of crimes, so the jurors could make their own choices from that smorgasbord.  Again, they didn't have to agree on the specific crime(s), just that something bad was done.

Trump's attorneys will file appeals very quickly, and I cannot see how New York's case will stand under higher scrutiny.  Frankly, their batting average in that respect is rather laughable.  Earlier today, the US Supreme Court ruled that New York violated the free speech rights of the National Rifle Association by pressuring banks to sever relationships with the NRA.  Let's also not forget the 2022 Bruen decision that reigned in New York's trampling of Second Amendment rights.

Regardless of political leanings, one can see that this is yet another miscarriage of justice that cannot be allowed to stand.

Father Fidel Rodriguez Defended The Blessed Sacrament In Florida

At the 10 am Mass on Sunday May 19, in St Thomas Aquinas Church in St. Cloud, FL, a woman presented herself for Holy Communion.  Because she didn't open her mouth or reply "amen", Father Fidel Rodriguez had reason to question her eligibility for receiving Holy Communion.  When he asked, she refused to tell him when she last went to Holy Communion or Confession.  He gave her a blessing.  The woman's name is Jetty Nique.

She tried it again at the 12pm Mass.  When Fr. Rodriguez asked about her last confession again, she replied it's "not his business".  Then she extended her hand towards the ciborium bowl, grabbed several Hosts, crushed them and threw/dropped them on the floor.  There was a struggle.  Father had to hold the bowl and defend himself.  It was then that he bit her, to defend both the Blessed Sacrament and himself from Nique's aggression.  LifesiteNews has an account of the incident.  Other video can be found at WRAL News.  

A commenter on the LifeSiteNews piece raises some interesting points.  The existence of these two videos speaks of an accomplice of Nique's who was at the ready to record her actions and the fallout.  It was a set up, no doubt.

Later Nique told the police "he wouldn't give me the cookie".  The cookie!  Either she is ignorant of just what the Consecrated Host really is, or she is being flippant to the point of blasphemy regarding the Real Presence.

As of this writing, charges have not yet been filed against Father Rodriguez.  None should be.  She grabbed at him and what he was holding.  He acted in defense of self and the Blessed Sacrament.  Parishioners who witnessed the altercation substantiate Father's account of the matter.

At Florida law, if a person "willfully and maliciously" disturbs a religious assembly (such as a Mass), it is a first-degree misdemeanor that can become a third-degree hate crime.

To their credit, the Diocese of Orlando is standing by Father Rodriguez.  Let us stand by him, too, and invoke the intercession of St Tarcisius. 

Oafish Behavior By Catholics

This post regards a not-so-new phenomenon prevalent among some Catholics on the internet to post and giggle at memes that are irreverent towards sacred matters or that utilize flagrant grammar and/or spelling errors.  When these are pointed out (and by far I have not been the only one to do so), the posters - or perpetrators - seem to take perverse pride in their irreverence and/or sloppiness.  They scoff at anyone who points out their errors.

This sacrilege is considered funny by some

We are accused of not having a "sense of humor".  Behind such accusations I suspect is a bit of group-think.  The memes are posted on Facebook with the expectation of eliciting laughter.  When someone voices an opinion that isn't one of hilarity, that person is subjected to none-too-subtle peer pressure to get with the program and to mindlessly giggle along with the rest of the crowd.  That group-think peer pressure is often invoked in the mantra "lighten up".  Their "lightening up" is really a dumbing down of holiness, piety, intellectual integrity, language integrity, and serious thought,  I touched on this several years ago, and not much has changed, except that I am seeing this more and more among people who call themselves Catholic.

The routine is that someone posts a meme that treats with flippancy matters of the Catholic faith, or involves crude jokes of sexual or scatological matters.  Obviously the poster intends others to giggle and chortle like mindless hyenas or chimpanzees.  That establishes the group-think expectation and many people fall right in.  Should anyone dare to question the so-called joke, the mob mocks them, accusing them of not having a "sense of humor".  It's rather similar to the snow-flakes accusing independent thinkers of engaging in "hate speech".  They are attempting to squelch thinking contrary to their own, most likely because it stings their consciences.  I find it eerily reminiscent of nazi-like behavior.

Since I wrote that post eleven years ago, I have been pondering that, plus the nonsense that has come up since.  Lately tik-tok videos have been cropping up, in blind compliance with various "challenges" that are made.  One of them involved a parent or other adult trusted by a baby, cracking an egg on the child's head and giggling over the child's distress by the assault.  Yes, it is assault.  Others involve the throwing of food at the child's face, again to record the child's reaction.  I am stunned that some Catholics take a nonchalant attitude towards these actions.  At what level of harm would they finally wake up?

I tried to come up with a word that defines these folks - again, many of them Catholics - who engage in this behavior, under the seeming anonymity of the internet.  While I wouldn't say they are acting in a manner typical of apostates, they certainly conduct themselves in manners that are more adolescent.  They act as though they are devoid of common sense and common manners.  The word I think, is OAF.  Most of the online definitions of that word include the word "stupid".  

If some reading this bristle at the definition, are you the sort that glories in your demonstrations of lackluster language skills?  Do you take pride in guffawing at irreverent and/or crude memes and jokes simply because they flash across your screens, being slaves to internet group-think?

If the shoe fits, wear it.  Or better yet, you could always decide that you will grow up and act like a reasonable adult, both away from the computer and online.

Larry Hogan, MD RINO Senate Candidate, Throws Babies Under The Bus

Disgraced by his son

Larry Hogan is falling all over himself to state that he now supports "restoring Roe as the law of the land" and now calls himself "pro-choice".   He is showing himself to be quite the chameleon.  The usual pro-abortion cabal look askance upon Hogan's statements, and quite frankly, I can see their point.  See here and here, for example.  This seems to be a clear case of him trying to please everyone but in the end, pleasing no one.

Regarding Roe v Wade, a little history lesson might be in order here.  That decision was handed down on January 22, 1973.  Five days later, a congressman from Maryland condemned the decision and introduced a Human Life Amendment in Congress.  He also gave one of the speeches at the 1974 March for Life.  The name of that MD congressman?  Lawrence J. Hogan Sr., father of the present-day turncoat who is now doing everything possible to trash his father's legacy.  Hogan Sr. was assisted in his efforts by his obstetrician brother, William Hogan MD.  Lawrence Sr. is pictured at the left.

Larry Hogan is a disgrace to his father's memory.  I certainly cannot support his campaign and I may well not cast any vote for the US Senator come November.

By the way - Hogan Jr, owing to his public espousal of the "right" to slaughter babies, needs to be denied Holy Communion until he repents and recants his errors.

Harrison Butker's Commencement Address

Harrison Butker, a kicker for the Kansas City Chiefs, gave the commencement address last week at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas.  The school is a small Catholic liberal arts college.  In his address to graduating students at a Catholic school, Butker gave a solid address, full of Catholic truth.  Alas, that truth runs counter to most of the pernicious myths polluting our culture and sadly, too many of our Catholic institutions.   Recall the Chicago priest who, inside a Catholic church, facilitated homosexual perversions; this was covered in my previous two posts.  Also recall that from April 17 through May 3, I relayed my first-hand account of the bile swilling forth from the Archdiocese of Baltimore's social justice offices.

He spoke much of "leaning into one's vocation".  Absolutely true.  I'm not sure what precisely he meant by "staying in one's lane".  One's vocation as a parent means that the parent must be fully aware of all the threats that have his/her family in their cross-hairs.  It means that they must be prepared to meet these threats where they make themselves known, even if the threats don't seem imminent at the time.  If the parent waits until his/her family is being immediately impacted, he/she has waited too long.  I pray that is not what he meant.  Anyway, here is the video, the one that has much of the progressive elements - including those within the Church hierarchy - railing and gnashing their teeth.

Archdiocese Of Chicago's Laughable Attempt At Damage Control

Regarding the debacle of which I wrote two days ago, it seems that Father William's order has put out a smoke screen apology of sorts.  Here it is.  Try not to laugh and/or scream too much as you read this cow-plop.  Commentary below.

In the first paragraph one gets a hint of the true motive for the apology - the video of the blasphemy/sacrilege that has now gone viral.  So is Father sorry for his gross sins in this matter - or the fact that he got caught and is now catching well-deserved heat?  The Vincentians are attempting to deflect scrutiny away from Fiducia Supplicans itself - scrutiny that must continue.

They quote Williams as saying that he wanted to provide the lesbians with "a meaningful moment of God's grace".  In reality, he did the opposite.  This would have been a true statement, had he urged them to repent of their mortally sinful sexual relationship.  Instead, he scandalized the lesbians as he confirmed them in their sin.

He said the episode has been a "valuable learning experience".  What was there to learn that he shouldn't have learned in religion classes and seminary classes?  What in hell do they teach in those seminaries?  I presume that Williams' priestly studies happened under the direction of the Vincentians.  They need to seriously revamp their priestly training.

Then he is quoted as being "deeply sorry for any confusion and/or anger that this has caused".  How about being "deeply sorry" for the peril to which he subjected the lesbians, as well as his own immortal soul?  Is he "deeply sorry" for the sacrilege against the Church, his own sacrament of Holy Orders?  Is he sorry for the obvious blasphemies that he committed?

This pathetic attempt at a "mea culpa" just won't suffice.  He committed public sin.  What will be his public acts of reparation?  Will that Church building, now defiled, be exorcised and reconsecrated?  Are they hoping that this one little attempt to cover their derrieres suffice to avert our gaze, or far more importantly, God's gaze?

I can't help but notice that we are not hearing anything from Father Williams himself.  Does he lack the courage and integrity to face good Catholics himself?  Perhaps the Archdiocese and/or Vincentians are afraid that if they allow him to talk, he'll just garner more eggs on the face for them.

It will be most illuminating if he remains pastor.

Cardinal Cupich, What Will You Do About This? We Await Your Action..

... or lack thereof, as the case may be.  At any rate, all eyes are on you.  For that matter, the same goes for you, Pope Francis.  What you do, or don't do, will indicate just what goal you had in mind with Fiducia Supplicans.  Notice:

• The priest is vested for a sacramental event.
• This is taking place in a church
• This was recorded, making obvious that this debacle was planned and not extemporaneous
• "Vows" are being exchanged
• The priest blesses them AS A COUPLE
• He calls their union "holy", blasphemous on its face

Archdiocese of Baltimore And Fiducia Supplicans Versus Protection Of Babies

We proceeded to the school cafeteria where lunch was served.  Along the perimeters tables were set up, with various "social justice" organizations were hawking their wares and dissident mindsets.  The only decent organization that I noted was the St. Vincent de Paul Society.   As you can see, LEAD had a table there.  They seemed to have learned one lesson from last year's expose of their nonsense; they did not give away little "gay-pride" flags.  However, their display table skirt was a gay-pride flag.  I suppose the poor dears just couldn't help themselves.  Among the offerings on the table were several of Fr James Martin's books.  At the opposite end of the row was a table for Pax Christi.  They seem to be having internal difficulties when it comes to being anti-baby-slaughter.  With all the regular "seamless garment" stuff, they are all in lock-step with each other.  Why do they seem to have difficulties decrying the evil of abortion?   Keep that question in the back of your mind as I relate to you the contents of the afternoon workshop.

The workshop was entitled "Fiducia Supplian: Putting It Into Perspective".  The presenter was Keith Wildenberg, founder of Building Catholic Futures.  He's also a partnered gay man.  This organization ostensibly exists to facilitate the integration of LGBT persons into the Catholic Church.  As I read the articles on the web about this, it seems that most of the LGBT people bristle at the idea that their inclinations are intrinsically disordered.  The truth is that they are, given that sexuality is ordered by God for marriage and the procreation of children.

One question that Wildenberg asked at the beginning is "what is the Church supposed to do with the gay couples among us?"  Another was "what can we do to make our priests more comfortable with this?"  "Blessing prayers" were interspersed throughout the presentation.  These always invoked blessings upon the gay couple, asking that their homes be blessed, that they grow closer as a couple.  I emphasize as a couple for one simply cannot ask blessing on a couple without validating that which defines them as a couple, i.e. the disordered tendencies that drew them to each other.

Wildenberg tried to take the writings of various popes regarding friendship to justify the intrinsically disordered attraction found in same-sex couples.  He opined ruefully that the "Church is clear about what we can't do with our bodies; I wish it was clear about what we can do with our bodies."  This sounds a bit like randy, hormone-driven kids asking "how far can we go?"  Let's face it.  Anyone who asks that question already knows the answer in his/her conscience.  Much effort was expended to twist Church writings to lend legitimacy to the existence of gay couples.  That is, the talk was full of attempts to justify the objectively perverse attraction between people of the same sex.  About halfway through the talk, he said, "you can't bless their union but you can bless them as individuals.  And if they happen to be standing next to each other and you have two hands.."  Here the audience broke out in chuckles - and we know why.

So how much of that pow-wow session was smoke-and-mirrors?  Well, consider this recent news.  It was discovered that Father Joseph Williams, pastor of St. Vincent de Paul parish in the Archdiocese of Chicago, presided at a "same-sex blessing" with exchange of "vows" on April 22nd.   It was first reported in Our Sunday Visitor.  Fiducia Supplicans states that any "blessing" not be accompanied by any accouterments that might imply a sacramental event.  Father Williams was vested for the confection of a sacrament.  He recognized them as a couple, asking blessing on their perverted relationship.  A faithful Catholic notified the Chicago chancery and was assured that "it will be addressed".  I'll believe it when I see it.  If Williams is not disciplined for this sacrilege, we may safely assume that such "blessings" as he attempted are indeed the goal of the authors of Fiducia Supplicans.

Throughout the presentation, various people read sample "blessings" for gay couples.  Wildenberg had planned, as a closing activity, to have the audience break down into groups of 4-5 people so that we could compose our own "blessings" for same-sex shack-ups.  I prepared to leave at that point for there was no way I could morally pretend to engage in that sin and I wasn't prepared to destroy my own cover.  Fortunately, Wildenberg et al noticed that there would not be time for that activity before the closing event of the day.

There were quite a few other workshops, all having to do with various progressive causes: climate change, death penalty, labor organizing, racial matters, etc.  There was only one that even mentioned pro-life concerns.  Bear in mind that Maryland has on its ballot the question of whether or not the so-called "right" to baby-slaughter,   It is the so-called "Right to Reproductive Freedom Act".  Was it mentioned, at least once, in that "pro-life" workshop?  By the way - as I was perusing the tables of different organizations during lunch, there was no pro-life display.  Given that this was an ostensibly Catholic social justice convocation, I found such absence to be quite indicative of priorities being misplaced.

The title of that workshop was "Pro-Life, Social Justice, And Not Being Cringe".  In that description was not one mention of the word abortion, the method by which over 90 babies every day are murdered in Maryland.  Moreover, when I recall that I sat through two workshops in which gays lectured to us, in a Catholic school with permission of the Archdiocese of Baltimore, I find it rather backwards that the word "cringe" is being associated with pro-life activism.

To add to the authentically "cringe" factor of this convocation, I noticed that there were a number of Calvert Hall students were present, ushering people through the building and carrying materials to different locations.  I presume that they were doing this for service points or other extracurricular credits.  In forcing those boys to witness the progressives and deviants strutting through their school, the Archdiocese of Baltimore failed those boys miserably.

This year's convocation was no different than last year's debacle.  These are unabashed attempts to normalize gay perversion (and other anomalies) within the Archdiocese of Baltimore.  The fact that this is being done so openly and on Catholic property indicates that such twisting of Catholic teaching is done with the permission of the Archbishop of Baltimore - if not at his express direction.  The directors responsible for inflicting these convocations on Baltimore should be dismissed - even if that includes the current archbishop.

Archdiocese of Baltimore Social Ministry Convocation - How To Justify Gay Perversions On The Sly

We resume with coverage of the Archdiocese of Baltimore's Social Ministry gab-fest.  After the panel discussion, the morning workshops commenced.  I attended the one conducted by Father Buening, entitled "Like Every Disciple: Putting It Into Action".  It focused on Archbishop Lori's document of the same name that dealt with LGBT people in the Church.  

Bruening stated that this document gave a blueprint for LGBT parish ministries.  Then he stated that his parish (St Matthew's) already had a history of such ministry.  Well, if one calls dragging the name of St Matthew's through the filth of gay pride parades and lending credibility to all sorts of perverse sexuality a "ministry",  we can see his point.  In reality, it is committing all sorts of blasphemies and sacrilege.  He thinks Lori was sharing his dreams in this document. I fear he may be correct and that dream in reality will result in nightmares as these "ministries" grease the skids to hell for so many souls embroiled in sexual vices.

He then stated that the Church exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ.  We call that a half-truth.  In fact, the Church's overarching mission is to save souls, i.e. snatch them from hell and help them achieve heaven.  See how they deftly excise any mention of life after death?  After we die, we ultimately go to heaven or hell.  That truth, too, is removed from consideration.  We are called to love Jesus Christ, but we do so first by repenting of our sins and turning from them, for they offend Him greatly.

Bruening spoke of the "life-giving tension of charity and truth".  Why is there this attempt to pretend that there is "tension" between charity and truth?  One does not exist without the other.  In 1 John 4:8, we read that "God is love".  In John 14:6, Jesus says "I am the way, the truth and the life".  Ladies and gentlemen, God has no "tension" in Himself and it would be blasphemous to allude otherwise.

Then he spoke of "forming relationships" and a subsequent "earning the right to speak".  What gives Christians the "right to speak" has nothing to do with "relationship".  Rather, that "right to speak" is actually a command from Jesus to promulgate His truth.  Later he said of ministry in general is that the greatest thing is to lead someone to a deep, intimate love of Jesus Christ.  Again, that doesn't happen without repentance.  In this entire tome, the word "repentance" isn't mentioned once.

After some more remarks by Bruening, the panel discussion began.  First we heard from Samuel who is involved with the LEAD gay-enabling group.  Let's take a few minutes to examine just what LEAD advocates.  At the bottom of this page we see them advertising an "Interfaith Renaming Ceremony".  People pretending to be of the opposite sex often change their names to conform to their fantasies.  Clicking through the pictures in the gallery, one sees pictures of St Matthew's parishioners participating in Baltimore's gay pride parade.  If one clicks all the way through the gallery, they are taken to this video that gives a tear-jerker account of two lesbians getting civilly married.  The two sing the praises of Father Muth who, at the 3:59 mark, seems to be joining them at their "reception" dinner.  Aside from the abysmal mockery of marriage, this video makes plain that indeed LEAD and the other "gay ministries" seek to undermine the Church's teachings on marriage and sexuality.  Let us now resume with this workshop.  Father Muth was at this workshop, by the way.

We then heard from Diane Lesko, who heads Open Arms Ministry, based at the Church of the Resurrection in Ellicott City.  Here is their website.  First go all the way to the bottom and notice that the copyright for this site is held by Church of the Resurrection itself.  This site advertises Fr James Martin's pro-sodomy propaganda as well as PFLAG.  It features a list of "welcoming parishes".  That's thinly-disguised code-talk for perversion-enabling parishes.  Ladies and gentlemen, all healthy parishes are welcoming of the repentant sinner.  In addition to the word "repentance" mentioned above, the word "confession" is likewise not mentioned.  Frankly, I didn't catch much of what she or Samuel had to day; they both held the microphones so close to their mouths that their voices were muddied.

Lastly we heard from Gordon Creamer  He runs the "Embracing God's Gifts" thing at St Ignatius in Baltimore.  One little tidbit that he didn't mention in his introductory remarks that he is a gay-married dude.  We discovered that about five years ago.  Look at the two pictures to the right.  In the top one, Creamer certainly is dressed normally enough.  The lower one?  That's obviously a different story.  He's the one in the frilly yellow hat and spaghetti-strapped - dress?  His hand is on the shoulder of his partner is sodomy "husband" Brian Fitzek.  That picture was found on Fitzek's facebook page several years ago.

Creamer seemed to home in on this idea of "accompaniment", stating that his pastor at the time was influential in that focus.  I wonder if that was the same pastor that I called to inquire as to the appropriateness of a gay-married guy being allowed to wield positions of influence at the Church.  Anyway, he spoke of "accompanying the parish, to help them understand what it is to be an LGBTQ+ person".  I wonder when we'll hear what it is to be a mass-murdering person.  If the latter sounds ridiculous, so does the former.

After Creamer finished, Fr Bruening enthused, "every time I hear Gordon Creamer speak, my heart melts!"  Unless he is completely clueless as to Creamer's "marital status", I can only surmise that this adulation signifies approval of the same.

He answered a question regarding Courage and Encourage.  They are obedient to the Church and don't appear to be utilizing any subterfuge in promoting perverted ideas and practices.  I regret that nothing further was said of them, and they did not have a table open during the lunchtime session.

Soon after, the session ended and we headed to lunch.  In a subsequent post, I'll report on the afternoon session and the display tables that were set up in the lunch hall.
