Catholic Standard Watch - Celebrating Pronoun Confusion At Stone Ridge In Bethesda

The latest issue of the Catholic Standard is out, and they are celebrating a "Stone Ridge legend".  That "legend" is Sister Anne Dyer, a longtime former principal of the school.  She gave the commencement address on June 8, exhorting the graduates to "reflect the goals of Sacred Heart education in their lives".  She and the staff are of the order known as the Society of the Sacred Heart.

Doesn't that sound like a lovely goal to which the graduates should aspire?  Not so fast.  Sister Dyer was headmistress when a number of us tried to get canceled their choice of commencement speaker - Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, who was at that time Lieutenant Governor of Maryland.  Like most of the Kennedys, she is a rabid pro-abort.  We returned next year to picket Sandra Day O'Connor, then-retired Supreme Court Justice, who made her pro-abortion proclivities well known, too.  Since then, they kept their choices of commencement speakers under wraps, leading me to suspect that they too held positions contrary to Church teachings.

Getting back to the June 8 address, Sr. Dyer said that the five goals of a Sacred Heart education are "faith, intellect, social action, community and growth".  However, she later let loose with a doozy regarding the transgender pronoun gobblygoop, contradicting all those lovely goals that she had enumerated.  I'm going to copy and paste it straight from the Standard web page.

The first question Sister Dyer posed to the graduates was, “How do you identify?”

She said that when asked that question today, people might be thinking, “What are my pronouns?”

“That’s only a little bit of who you are… It doesn’t matter what your pronouns are.  That’s who you are. God loves you that way, and I love you that way,” she said.

End quote.  Yes she really said that.  FULL STOP!  If her students are graduating, thinking that they don't need to conform with God's design for them as women, she and her staff have done an abysmal job when it comes to Catholic education.  If the students were hoodwinked into believing that they can monkey around with their genders, those five goals of Sacred Heart education were flushed down the toilet by these Sacred Heart sisters.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is but one example of the spiritual, moral and intellectual malaise that now grips Holy Mother Church.

The Sin-Nod For A Sin-Nodal Church

Redundancy is a great ploy for those who haven't the foggiest idea about which they are blathering, isn't it?  The Vatican wonks are getting this tactic down to an art form, wouldn't you say?

The Instrumentem Laboris has been released, comic sans font and all.  It can be found here, in all its translations and formats.  Mind you, these are official translations.  For the purposes of this post, I'm going to examine the Word file, as word counts can be done quite efficiently.  Word counts are a decent indicator of priorities.  So let's jump right on in with some word counts:
  • God - 102
  • Jesus - 10
  • Sin - 0
  • Redemption - 0
  • synod/synodal - 382
  • church - 480
  • welcome - 17
  • experience - 82
  • accompany - 15
  • sacrament - 13
  • salvation - 2
  • repent - 2
So there you have it.  When "experience" outnumbers "repent", when "synod" trumps "God", we cannot deny that priorities are fatally inverted.  Now keep that word document open and go to page 29.  I am guiding you right to that since the beginnings of these documents are awash in verbosity, full of fluffy-puff stuff - all designed to hide the real malevolence of the thing, such as page 29's stinker.  It talks of welcoming diverse participants.  Besides "diverse" folks such as poor, disabled, racial minorities, we see (in fact it's listed first in a) those currently engaging in adultery and sexual perversions.  That's right!  Those committing mortal sins of the flesh are seen as no different than the economically disadvantaaged.  Ironically, for those caught up in these sins, there has always been an avenue of welcome.  It's called repentance and the Sacrament of Confession.  But as we saw above, the word "repent" only shows up twice in this 27,376-word monstrosity.

By the way - no where in this bloated tome do I find any scintilla of concern, let alone appreciation, for those of us who see the value in the Tradtional Latin Mass.  This omission alone screams volumes regarding the importance (or lack thereof) that this current papacy ascribes to the patrimony of Holy Mother Church.

Gay Pride Mass Met With Prayer And Resistance

As mentioned in my previous posts, a "pride Mass" occurred at 5:30 this evening at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Washington DC (Georgetown neighborhood).  I was there and took the video and pictures that you'll see below (apologies for the choppiness of the video). In total, about 25-30 Catholics were gathered across the street from the Church to pray.  LifeSiteNews was also there, recording the event.  I will post their articles as they are made available.  In the meantime, they published a statement from Archbishop Vigano wherein he takes Cardinal Gregory to task for his promotion of homosexuality.

Two days ago I placed a call to Cardinal Gregory's office at the Archdiocese of Washington.  Naturally no human being answered the phone so I had to leave a voice mail, leaving my phone number and asking for a reply.  Of course I knew that reply would never come, but I extended them the opportunity to do so.  I suspect I am not the only one to have called.  One lady who herself suffers from same-sex attraction placed a public tweet asking the Cardinal to have that Mass canceled.  She added that she doesn't celebrate the sin, but rather, her repentance and return to the Church.  Of course she too was denied the courtesy of a reply.  I commend Ms. Howell for speaking boldly on the matter.

The Daily Signal likewise looked askance upon Cardinal Gregory's silence on the matter, believing that silence implies consent.  I believe they are correct.  Recall that when Cardinal Gregory first took the helm at this Archdiocese, one of his first talks was to archdiocesan youth; therein he extolled praises to Fortunate Families, a gay-affirming cabal.  The Signal quoted the statement from Trinity's pastor regarding the Mass.  That statement made mention of "transforming lives".  Well, how are they transformed?  Given the "public displays of affection" that I got on video this evening, on the steps of the Church (you'll see them below), I'd say the transformation would lead them straight to hell.

My video now appears, and below that will be the pictures of the two pervert couples, obviously unrepentant, going to the Mass and most likely receiving Communion.  It dawns on me that the celebrant of that Mass may, owing to his obvious dissidence, may lack the proper intention to perform the consecration, rendering that Mass invalid.  Would any theologians reading this care to comment?  For the sake of those attending that Mass, I hope I am correct for they'd be spared the guilt of one less sacrilegious Holy Communion.

Here's the first picture, to the right.  These are two guys.  The one on the left had been waiting for his sodomite partner.  In the video, you see him chatting with someone else at the 0:32 marker, before the other one arrives.  After this, uhh, "enthusiastic greeting", they went into the church.

At the 2:08 mark, we see the lesbians arrive.  Just before they started up the steps, they noticed us across the street.  It certainly seemed that we made them uncomfortable, but they continued to hold hands as the guard ushered them into the church.

BREAKING - Pride Mass To Take Place At DC Catholic Church - Action Needed

This coming Wednesday, June 14 at 5:30pm,  Holy Trinity Catholic Church will be allowing a "pride mass" to take place inside its church.  Below is the announcement as it appears on their Facebook events page.  Trinity's website confirms this.

Trinity, being Jesuit infested run for many years now and located just south of Georgetown University, has for long been a swamp from which emanate all manners of dissent.  Still, this charade, if allowed to continue, will unleash new blasphemies and sacrileges that will demand satisfaction and punishment from an all-just God.

I understand that a Rosary in reparation outside the church is being planned.  At this time, though, I have no details on that.  Meanwhile, please contact the Archdiocese of Washington and politely insist that they put the kibosh on this profanity.  They have the authority to do so, their inevitable protestations notwithstanding.  Keep at it and please spread the word to your fellow Catholics.

When I learn more details of the Rosary, I will post them.

The Smog Serves A Good Purpose After All

Montgomery County Maryland is being impacted by the smog coming from the Canadian wildfires.  This morning when I stepped out my door, the haze was apparent and the smoke smell quite noticeable.  Sometimes, though, there is some silver lining to clouds.

Montgomery County canceled a fair number of outdoors activities, since the weather service declared a "code red" alert for our air quality.  One of them was this filth, no doubt offered as part of "pride" week.  It was to be a comedy show featuring pervert-actors.  It is "intended for mature audience ages".  The word "mature" in this context is an oxymoron.  It's also ostensibly a free event.  No it isn't!  We the Montgomery County taxpayers are footing the bill for this debauchery.  We can just imagine what obscenities will be spewing forth, with attendees chuckling as demonic ideas are corroding their brains and morals.

But by God's grace this evening's performance was scuttled.  For this one time, the sewage will not be flowing on taxpayers' dime.

By the way - If your bishop has said anything regarding this gay agenda, please post it in the comment box.

More Proof That Catholics And Pro-Life People Are De Facto NIqq@r$ Of The New Age

Again, I have to misspell that term to get by the censor-bots.  Also, the blunt language is more than appropriate for the reality that is becoming all too apparent.  What else do you call it when Catholics and pro-life people obviously aren't being granted equal protection under the law?

In Michigan a while back, a pro-life activist named Joan Jacobson was passing out pro-life campaign literature at people's homes when one pro-abortion thug shot her in the back.  He was tried, and his penalty was - 100 hours of community service.  Had this been a pro-abort who was shot, the assailant would be looking at many years in jail.  Was Ms. Jacobson's life not worth protecting, in the eyes of this judge?  Oh, by the way - in the wake of this shooting, did you hear any clarion call from gun control advocates to ban guns?  Neither did I, but I digress.

During some BLM riots in California, some of the protesters went to a Church parking lot and destroyed a statue of St. Junipero.  The Democrat district attorney decided to charge them with a minor misdemeanor.  Had this statue been that of another religion, those thugs would have been charged with a hate crime.  Fortunately, the Archbishop of San Francisco, Salvatore Cordileone, shot off an open letter to them denouncing the double standard.  Please go to that link and read the letter.  All of our clergy should be so quick to call out anti-Catholic bigotry when they see it.  Too often, though, they are silent.  I hope it's just cowardice, but I strongly suspect that many of them, having no real faith themselves, are in the corner of the anti-Catholic bigots.

It's only as we call out the nonsense for what it is that we'll stand a chance of this bigotry deteriorating into something far more fearsome and ugly.
