is Tom Hoefling Having, Uh, "Problems"?

A few days ago, I wrote about the "third-party" candidates (namely Hoefling and Castle), looking askance upon ethics that would allow them to enable Hillary's win.  Now I wonder if there are other issues as well with the American Party candidate.

Any candidate  running for federal office must comply with regulations promulgated and enforced by the Federal Election Commission.  They must file periodic reports, and these reports are open to public inspection.  Well, I took a look at the FEC page dealing with such reports.   I see that all the other presidential candidates have filed their reports, but see nothing on Tom Hoefling.

Whoopsie!!!  That's quite an omission!!  Would anyone from the Hoefling camp care to explain that?  Your would-be voters have a right to know.

  1. That's easy enough. The FEC regulates political money. No filings with them are required unless and until at least $5000 is raised or expended.

Both my presidential campaign and America's Party are 100% grassroots and citizen-led. In other words, we take no donations for either.

It's not that we're foolish enough to think that the country can be turned around without material resources. It's that the billions of dollars conservatives have expended in the last generation sending their hard-earned money to national political organizations, only to have that money almost entirely consumed on nothing more than more fund-raising, have been squandered. So, we are asking people to redirect their funds, from the national level, down to the lowest grassroots level. Fund local activists out in the precincts, where the real work takes place. Make sure that 100% of your resources are going to the purpose for which you intended them.

We're striving to restore principled government of the people, by the people, and for the people, not just in nice-sounding political rhetoric, but in fact. We're leading by example.

    Thanks.

    Tom Hoefling

    1. Mr. Hoefling, if you truly care about our country, you will cease your campaign immedidately. All you'll do is reduce the number of votes that Hillary would need to achieve victory. That will be the end result of your posturing and grandstanding. Mr. Castle, take note for my rebuke applies to you also.

  2. If these "third party" conservative candidates really cared about the country, they would not be throwing their hat in the ring to take votes away fromm Trump and ensure a Hillary win, most evil party we have ever experienced.

    1. Every party has a right to run a candidate. This is America! Trump has destroyed the Republican Party and conservatism! If he hadn't thrown his hat into the ring, we'd have a true conservative running instead of a pathological liar like Trump.

    2. Say what you want about Trump. Right now he's all that is standing between us and Hillary. Yes a party might have a right to run a candidate but that "right" doesn't mean it's a morally acceptable course of action. I went into more detail last August at http://restore-dc-catholicism.blogspot.com/2016/08/why-it-is-most-likely-immoral-to-deny_14.html

  3. Thank you for the clarification on the financial reporting.

If you really want to restore principled government, start from the ground up. Your campaign, and that of Castle's too, will only serve to reduce the votes that Hillary needs for the White House and that will only serve to further extinguish anything left of our republic. For that, what you and Castle are doing is shameful. I will entertain no further rebuttal on this blog.

    1. How is it shameful that they're running? So only a candidate from the Republican and Democrat parties can run for president? Many conservatives think Trump and his behavior is shameful because it is. Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil. We must trust God to take care of us now because He is going to judge America for turning their back on Him and His word. I'm praying for repentance in our country.

    2. "Trust God"? He's entrusted us with the responsibility to use our brains (as opposed to gut reactions and emotions) to select our officials. We cannot abdicate our duties to do so and then expect that God will fix the consequences for our sinful stupidity. That is NOT how we trust God.

  4. Wow. You're really going to defend a vote for Trump citing morals??!! This is why God will will be done and people have left the pews. The churches are corrupt as well.

    1. To answer your question, I'm refuting the silly notion that these "third-party" candidates are paragons of virtue. Just a few days ago, WikiLeaks revealed that Evan McMullin received $12k from the Clinton Foundation for (wait for it!) "voter suppression". Hmmm... Anyway, what is with your second sentence? The grammar is so sloppy I cannot discern its meaning, and the third sentence appears to be a non sequiter with regards to my post.
