World Youth Day Is Over - But The Mess Continues

Yes, World Youth Day 2023 has (mercifully) drawn to a close.  As you can see, the organizers are packing up their stuff until next year.  Uh.. wait a minute!

Does that include the Blessed Sacrament?  Yes, that is where the organizers of the World Youth Dumpster-Fire have saw fit to keep the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Our Lord.  This is sacrilege, pure, simple and inexcusable.  I believe those young people on the right are in adoration, and I hope that adoration is sufficient to serve as reparation for the sacrilege.  If we wonder why people no longer believe in the Real Presence, it is because Our Lord is treated so carelessly and flippantly: passing Him around in paper bowls as though the Hosts were potato chips and then placing Him in some ugly profane crate

The pope, while still in Lisbon, gave another "surprise" interview.  During that interview, he opined that "people with right-wing ideologies were the most dangerous faction in the Church".  Moreover, he said that "we need normal seminarians, with their problems, who play soccer and who don't go to the neighborhoods to dogmatize".

Most dangerous faction, are we?  Well, I suppose that depends on your perspective.  On August 3, an openly gay priest offered a Mass for LGBTQ people.  I could be incorrect, I hope I am, in believing that these people were unrepentant and continuing with their perversions.  At any rate, a group of traditional Catholics were also in that church, and they began to pray to drown out the blasphemy and sacrilege.  They even (gasp!) wore mantillas and carried Crucifixes.  Police were called and the real Catholics were ushered out.  Then Father James Alison, the gay concelebrant of that Mass said of the traditionalist protesters, "the interruption highlights the challenges that LGBTQ Catholics face in trying to practice their faith."

"Practice their faith"???  Father, if you really want to remove those challenges, repent of your own perversions, get to Confession, and then start proclaiming God's teachings regarding the sin of homosexuality (in all its varieties).  As it stand now, you might be eligible for that millstone to be tied around a neck.

Yes indeed.  I do hope that we are "dangerous" to those, including the pope, who seem hell-bent on mutilating our Faith beyond recognition.  Speaking of which, remember this and this from two months ago?   If this pope says we are the "most dangerous faction", I will take that as a badge of honor.

Now orthodoxy wasn't completely ignored - just that in regards to Sacred Tradition.  In one other area, orthodoxy was mandated!  All pilgrims were told to download an app onto their phones to measure...what?  How many times they went to Mass?  Whether or not they made good confessions?  How many rosaries they prayed?  No!  Of course not!  Why, that's so, so..rigid!  Nope!  This thing was a questionnaire to measure the "carbon footprint" that each person made while at the WYD, and then told them ways to "offset" those nasty "footprints".   The priorities of WYD are clearly on display - steer the focus of the youth from things of God to things of this earthly life, with a left-leaning tilt to boot.  By the way, don't you just wonder who created that app, and what else it may be doing on the phones of those unsuspecting kids?

Fighting Satanic Culture At Two Local Catholic Universities - Examples To Emulate

Both instances, one at Georgetown University and the other at Mount St. Mary's University, happened within the past week.

Much have I written about Georgetown over the years.  They are Jesuit-run, and they regularly churn out filth and dissidence.  See how I'm repeating myself in that last sentence?  But I digress.  If you scroll through this litany of scandals, you'll see that I went down there to protest the honoring of various pro-abortion individuals.  At all those times, also protesting were young men from the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property.

On April 4, this past Monday, several of the TFP men went down to Healy Gates (where I stood with them on occasion) to speak truth to the students about the LGBT varieties of mortal sin.  They were there with their bagpipes, banners, red flags, and of course, their Rosaries.  They met all sorts of vile opposition.  Actually, some of those kids were so unhinged they were more silly than vulgar.  But alas, their loud music and taunts couldn't drown out bagpipes and the Rosary.  We pray that some of them will take to heart some of the words that the TFP men spoke to them.  Video is included in this link.

Meanwhile, at the northwestern end of Interstate 270, the Department of Sociology, Criminal Justice and Human Services of Mount St. Mary's University was getting ready to host Dr. Simone Kolysh as a speaker.  Kolysh is a professor of sociology at nearby Hood College.  She advocates abortion and LGTB lifestyles (of the BSDM varieties).  She calls herself a "non-binary polyamorous dyke" and prefers "they/them" pronouns.  Well, I'm not playing that game!  She's a female and that is how I will call her.  If she reads this, she'll just have to deal with it.  She calls herself a "witch bitch" and I must confess to being tempted to concede her point here.  But I digress!  Obviously she is not fit to teach anyone to tie their shoelaces, much less spread perversion at a Catholic institution.

Thankfully, several students and faculty at the Mount saw the same paradox and resolved to prevent that - and they did so.  They demanded that her lecture be canceled.  LifeSiteNews contacted the offices of Archbishop Lori, since Lori is on the Mount's Board of Trustees and the Mount is located in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.  While Lori's office never responded to LifeSiteNews, the lecture was soon canceled.

In both cases, Catholics took a stand to combat the anti-God secular culture at Catholic venues.  We can do no less.  We are tasked with establishing Christ's reign in social spheres.  We cannot do it unless we purge the filth from our own institutions.  Emulate the examples set forth by these Catholics.

Amazon Synod Begins October 6

The Amazon Sin-Nod draws near, and Pope Francis appears to be finalizing his preparations.  Part and parcel of those preparations is the announcement that the pope restored to ministry a priest/theologian who was suspended because of his gay advocacy.  In actuality, Father James Alison, a British Dominican, was restored approximately two years ago.  He was obviously asked to keep the restoration secret and it is only on the cusp of the synodal disaster that looms, that Alison again holds himself out as a priest in good standing.  There is no evidence that he recanted his advocacy nor had any other indication of repentance.  He identifies as a "gay priest".

It is also widely noised abroad that today the pope granted a 30-minute interview with pervert-enabling and general-all-around dissident Fr James Martin.  Martin, of course, works in the Vatican's communication office.  So the pope can palaver with Martin for 30 minutes, yet not grant a meeting with the two surviving dubia cardinals to address their pressing concerns regarding the Church's direction?  Perhaps in this interview the pope did indeed answer their questions.  In fact, those questions have been long ago answered.

But good faithful Catholics are also making preparations for the looming disaster.  From LifeSiteNews we read of a prayer demonstration that occurred a few days ago, featuring Catholic leaders - many of whom plan to stay during the duration of the mess.  Cardinal Burke (one of the dubia cardinals) continues to sound the alarm regarding both the Amazon mess and the German sham-synod.

I will post two videos that bear watching.  Both deal with the synod.  In the second, Father does a very decent job in summarizing key errors and heresies in the Instrumentum Laboris.  Please take the time to listen to these.  More importantly, take the time each day for a Rosary to stave off the planned damage to the Catholic Church.
