Wasn't Abortion Supposed To Prevent This?

First, let's start with a passage from Scripture, Isaiah 49:15.  "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne?"

Since the legalization of abortion, babies have been seen as disposable commodities more and more; thus says Peter Singer (he may be a callous eugenicist, but he's up front about it!).  It is all too common to hear of babies being thrown in the trash and flushed down toilets.  My childhood was spent in that quaint era before Roe v Wade, when babies were rightly seen as persons and worthy of protection.  Now that we're living in the era of "every child a wanted child", news of such maltreated babies comes to us at least monthly.

Last March a Boston-area ob/gyn related her bizarre experience with a teenager who gave birth to a premature boy, stuffed him in a bread bag and tried to flush him down the toilet.  Fortunately her blood was noticed flowing from the rest room door and hospital security prevented that murder.  Last May we learned of a baby boy being flushed down a toilet in China.  By God's grace his cries were heard from sewer pipes and he was cut loose from the pipes and received treatment.

On August 17th in Bethlehem PA, Amanda Heim was watching a wrestling match in a sports bar.  She got up, went to the rest room, gave birth to her baby boy.  She then murdered him and stuffed his body in a toilet tank.  After that, in blood-stained clothes, she returned to the booth and continued to watch the wrestling match.  After receiving complaints of a non-functioning toilet, the bar management made the horrible discovery.  Recalling that a specific booth had blood stains on it, management gave the reservation information to police who then tracked down Heim.

During this past weekend in Jersey City NJ, some boys discovered an abandoned baby in a trash bag in back of an apartment complex.  They notified apartment superintendents who in turn called the police.  The boy is in stable condition.

So here we are, 40 years later.  More and more babies are literally being treated like garbage.  While we should be grateful for the decent people who did avert tragedy in these scenarios, what of all the one about which we don't hear?  May God grant us a spirit of repentance before He comes to judge us.

Catholic Relief Services IS Aiding/Abetting Murder

Today, on the 45 anniversary of the promulgation of Humanae Vitae, LifeSitenews has broadcast the news that Catholic Relief Service personnel are distributing contraceptives and abortifacient drugs/devices in Madagascar.  Their report can be read here; please note that they in turn link to a report by Population Research Institute.

It is this latter group (a branch of Human Life International) that has conducted a month-long investigation on site in Madagascar and has interviewed NGO workers and officials - including CRS personnel.  Their report states that CRS employs over 250 community health workers there who distribute contraceptives and abortifacients under the name of "Catholic Relief Services".  A CRS zone supervisor confirmed this information.  Steven Mosher, president of PRI, asks "how many children have been aborted or contracepted out of existence by CRS?"  I urge the readers of this blog to read both the LifeSiteNews posts.  For now I'll focus on Mosher's question.

First, let's understand that an abortifacient is a drug or device that prevents the newly-conceived baby from implanting in his/her mother's womb.  That child is subsequently expelled from the mother's body during her next period.  This is abortion - that is the deliberate taking of an innocent life.  We've just described a murder.  Of course all abortions are acts of murder.  I find it difficult to believe that these CRS personnel who are engaged in the distribution of these poisons are unaware of the nature of these things - particularly those CRS personnel in positions of authority and responsibility.

That said, I'm going to dispense with the silly verbal tap-dance and tippy-toeing with "delicate and diplomatic" language.  I'll paraphrase Mosher's question a bit with "how many children have been murdered with assistance by and intention of CRS"?  Let's cut to the chase, shall we?  For that is exactly what the Catholic Relief Services is doing!

If the Catholic Relief Services is serious about following the moral precepts of Christ and His Church, they'll recognize that one cannot do evil in the vain hopes that good will come of it.  At the very least, those who have participated in these mortal sins of murder must cease and desist immediately.  They must go to Confession for they have placed their immortal souls in danger of damnation.  The board of directors of CRS might do well to suspend all operations until they can root out the rot.  Of course "rooting out the rot" may very well mean that the CRS should be abolished in its entirety.  If such is the case, so be it.

With each passing year, the words of Humanae Vitae ring ever more true.  Pope Paul VI foresaw the spread of abortion and disregard for human life if contraception were ever to gain a foothold.  I wonder if he had any inkling that agencies within the Catholic Church would be participating in these grave sins?  

How To "Terrorize" Without Really Trying

We discovered how to do so - quite inadvertently - while we were in front of the Planned Parenthood death center in Silver Spring MD.  At the moment of this "discovery", there were a number of us on the sidewalk - pro-life activists, pro-abortion deathscorts and sundry building visitors.  All was calm, there was no particular agitation of note - at least to me.

Someone who drove by the north side of Spring Street was somewhat flustered, as he yelled out "Terrorists!" from his car window.  Wondering if he beheld something I couldn't see from my vantage point, I crossed the street to see if I could discover the cause of his alarm.  This is what I saw:

At first glance, the scene looks like what I described in the preceding paragraph.  But wait!  What is that picture on top of the car?  Why, yes!  Indeed it is the object of that man's obvious fright!  I zoomed in for a closer look and post it below.  Ladies and gentlemen, if and only if you have the courage, I invite you to view the horrible visage for yourselves - but be warned!  If it caused that man to accuse of being terrorists, why, it must be frightening indeed!

Are you really brave enough to sneak a peak?  OK - but don't say I didn't warn you!  You better have your smelling salts handy because here it is!

Now that we've all sufficiently recovered our senses after what must have been the most terrifying moments in our lives to date, let's consider a few things.  If that man was an Obama fan, that is, a Minion Most Mindless of the Messiah Most Miserable, he will be of like mind with the mental midget who said that he wouldn't want his daughters "punished with a baby".  In other words, they hold the warped view that babies are things to be avoided at best - and even torn to shreds if they dare to exist at times deemed inconvenient.

Of course it's no secret that those who are depraved of conscience (and that includes all who deem themselves "pro-choice") will always find the proclamation of the truth to be a dire threat to their own cocoon of self-deception.  No sane, rational person could look at the picture of that sweet baby and have the word "Terrorists!" bleat from their mouths.  However, no person who calls themselves "pro-choice" can be called "sane" or "rational" for they permit, if not outright support, the wanton murders of innocent babies.

The real terrorism is what happens inside Planned Parenthood and the other execution chambers commonly known as "abortion clinics".  The silly antics of that drive-by shouter and too many others will never obfuscate that truth.

Canada: No Jail For Woman Who Strangled Her Newborn

From Lifesite News we read that an Alberta judge set free a mother who strangled her newborn son.  He argued that Canada's absence of a law prohibiting abortion signals that Canada sympathizes with the mother.

If the premise is the lack of protection for preborn children, his conclusion from that premise is logical.  Peter Singer, a professor at Princeton University, has long advocated for legalized infanticide stating that "there is no sharp distinction between the fetus and the newborn baby."   Guess what?  He's right!  There is no real distinction between the unborn child and the born child.

To my "pro-choice" readers:  Do you see where your warped logic is taking the thinking of too many people?  Now born infants are being murdered, and the perpetrators are exonorated.  Take a hard look at yourselves and what your advocacies have wrecked upon us.  I hope this troubles you.  If not, your thinking is stymied, your eyes are blind and your hearts hardened.

September 11th - Remembering ALL The Victims Of That Day's Violence

Today most of the nation mourns the loss of life that occurred at the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and that field in Pennsylvania.  Memorials and tributes galore are occurring for those 3000 innocent victims of murderous Islamic terrorism.  We join in praying for the eternal repose of these and consolation for their families and friends.

But - what about the other 3000 victims of senseless murder who were slaughtered that day via acts of violence sanctioned by the same United States of America?  What about the 3000 tiny babies that have been so murdered every day during these past ten years?  Doing some quick arithmetic, we see that between 12-15 million babies have been butchered over these past ten years.  Where are ther memorials, their tributes?  For the most part, the United States has not only turned its back on these tiny babies, but has sanctioned their murders and even moved to punish those who seek to save as many as they can (the case of the DOJ attacking Dick Retta is only the latest shameful example of this mindset).  When memorial crosses are erected to the honor of these babies, they are often vandalized.  When we show to the nation the raw truth of what they sanction (even if only by apathy) such as you see in the picture on the right, we are called "mean-spirited".

Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta warned the world that "the fruit of abortion is nuclear war.  What you do to the unborn child, you do to Jesus."  As horrendous as the 9-11 attacks were, they were not nuclear war.  The warning still stands.  Was Mother Teresa's statement an infallible prophesy?  Of course not - but it makes sense.  When she accepted the Nobel Peace Prize, she had this to say:"But I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child - a direct killing of the innocent child - murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another?"   We understandably decry the murder of the 3000 killed by the Islamic terrorists - but then we sanction the murder of 3000 of our own babies every day. 

In my pro-life email circles, "results of polls" are constantly circulated showing that "the nation is increasingly pro-life".  Really?  How "pro-life"?  Are they "pro-life" enough to do all they can do to end the slaughter?  Are they "pro-life" enough to put the babies ahead of their own economic advantage when they make electoral and/or political decisions?  If the GOP debates of last week are any indicator, the answer to those questions is, sadly, "NO".  Not one substantive question regarding intrinsic morality and the core life issues was broached during that entire program.  To the GOP leadership, I say that is an utter disgrace and has earned you, once again, the moniker "Stupid Party".

In the first few days following the attack, American flags sprang up everywhere and the mantra became "God bless America."  But how can He bless this nation when we continue to bathe our hands in the blood of the babies we murder (or at least, allow to be murdered)?  He won't!  Before the United States, as a nation, dare ask for God's blessing, the United States, as a nation, must undergo profound repentance and a change of direction.  We are headed towards moral and spiritual collapse and destruction; the current economic woes that are in our national headlights are merely a natural consequence and symptom of the more fundamental ills of which we freely imbibe.

If this day is to be anything more than an exercise in sentimentality, we need to understand the word of God as expressed in 2 Chronicles 7: 14 "If my people, upon whom my name is called, being converted, shall make supplication to me, and seek my face, and do penance for their most wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."  Recall that for a few weeks after the attacks, the churches were actually overflowing.  It seems some people woke up to their need for God - for a little while.  Alas, that didn't last too long, and they resumed their spiritual and moral neglect.  We must realize that our repentance must be permanent and fundamental; it won't be easy.  However this repentance must happen quickly, or Mother Teresa's prediction may ring true and the events of ten years ago seem like a wet firecracker in comparison.   Our time is drawing short.
