Support Fr Altman And Rebuke Bishop Callahan

This past week, Father James Altman, a priest of the Diocese of La Crosse, WI, put out this video that rightly excoriates the Catholics who plan to sin by voting for candidates from the party of death: that is, Democrats.  Does that sound so harsh?  Recall that the dems themselves enshrined baby-murder and sexual perversions in their party platform.  Father Altman is simply acting as a true priest who is warning Catholics of the dangers to their souls if they vote Democrat.  Let us recall that "rebuking the sinner" is one of the Spiritual Acts of Mercy.

Naturally his bishop is throwing him under the bus.  I'll have more to say after you review the video.

Here is the press release that Bishop William Callahan plopped on his website today.  He acknowledges that what Fr Altman said is true.  Well, he had too, lest he look like a total blathering fool.  But then he starts to snivel about the tone of Father's words.  As I watched this video, I saw nothing angry about Father's words.  The bishop wimpers about Father being judgmental, but his whole letter itself reeks of judgmentalism - the whiny, crybaby type, to be precise.

Then Callahan invokes Matthew 18, and states that he is correcting Father in private, not in public.  What???  Just what in hades does he think he's doing by publishing his screed on the diocesan website?  So much error, so little time.

I don't have the time to pick this press release apart, bit by bit.  Rather, I'd suggest to all my readers to contact him soon and often.  The main phone number is 608-788-7700.  Here's their facebook page and their twitter page. On the plus side, Bishop Strickland of Tyler Texas has spoken out in favor of Fr Altman's admonition.

Faithful Catholics of the Diocese of La Crosse, please consider curtailing your donations until Callahan ceases rattling his saber at good priests like Father Altman

  1. This is absolutely crushing news! Our entire family ( adult children and grandchildren) listen to Fr. Altman daily. What a “voice in the wilderness”
he is......we have wondered just how long it was going to be before pressure was applied and he would be silenced. I guess we just found out!
To quote St. John Chrysostom: The floor of Hell is paved with the skulls of bishops.”

    3. We absolutely agree. To lose his inspiration is unthinkable. I am having masses said for seminarians regularly and I hope they begin to rush in and fill the void

  2. This weak bishop (a 'good friend' of the Cardinal in Chicago) will remove Fr. Altman completely if he is 'rebuked' but a bunch of lay people. I would sure miss Fr. Altman. He responds in his homily today about 'tone' and 'division' and so forth. Oh, put never mention the names of the heretics! I look forward to all of Fr. Altman's homilies; may he not be silenced. There are only a handful like him to speak clarity with charity.

  3. I fully support Fr.Altman. We need many more Catholic truth speaker like Father. Democrats are the party of Human Sacrifice to an earth godess indicated by their support for abortion, euthanasia, contraception, perverted sexuality, the faux pandemic which has ruined millions of peoples lives. All of this is in line with their support of de-population initiatives of which abortion is the most obvious.

In addition, Democrats are a threat to America's basic freedoms of religion and free speech. Clearly, no good Catholic should vote for any Democrat. To do so is a death wish both now and strong possibility of hell in eternity.

  4. Bishop Callahan, OFM. I write in complete support of Fr. James Altman. He preaches the truth. There is nothing wrong with his tone. I gather it is a bit uncomfortable for the bishop, but Father is in the business of saving souls for Christ, not in pandering to the culture. I am not surprised that the Bishop is hearing from many people who support or oppose Father. I imagine those who oppose Father are those who do not want the Truth, but the nice tone that comes from our current Church of nice. I pray that the Bishop prayerfully consider what he is doing. We have so few good priests and when we do have one, the bishops try to silence them. The truth is a good, practicing Catholics can not support the Democrat party. If you disagree with that statement, read the platform of the Democrat party.

  7. One need only to re-read last Sunday's (9/6) OF Gospel in which Christ says that 'one must warn sinners of their sin or be held accountable for them, along with the sinners themselves'--

Bp. Callahan is by no means a wacko-Lefty, so one expects this to be resolved without fireworks. We'll see.

  8. I encourage everyone to call the Bishop, and threaten him with a canonical denunciation for heresy, scandal, and schism. We Catholics at Rome, Italy, support Father Altman's content, tone and style 100%

  9. Was John the Baptist rebuked for TONE? After bishops and cardinals were involved in the horrifying scandal and coverup of mortal sins DEEPLY wounding the church....TONE?? We support this holy loving priest.

  10. This is a letterto the editor that I sent to the La Crosse, Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls newspapers.

    "Dear Reader:

I am a Catholic in the diocese of La Crosse. This letter is in support of Fr. Altman. Words cannot express how the truly faithful yearn for and rejoice in the Truth which Fr. Altman speaks. We no longer feel alone. As for the letter from the Bishop regarding Fr. Altman, it was arrogant in its self righteousness, disgusting in its not so veiled threats and embarrassing in its lack of charity. Monica Mohan

  11. God has bless Father Altman with a love of the truth and a willingness to share it. Thank you Father Altman and I truly hope Bishop Callahan will see the error of his ways and take up something or someone more worthy of his rebuke. We, faithful Catholics are hanging on by our fingernails and are tired of the gaslighting going on. We want men who will stand up for the truth, we want to hear truth from our priests, no more nice nice. Tell it like it is, repent, repent, repent. I support Father Altman and what he said, ''you cannot be Catholic and be a democrat."

  12. Totally support Fr Altman and the Coward Bishops and James Martin need to get a reality check. We are DONE with the lies, cover-ups, support of abortion and flat out gay agenda. We will not continue to financially support them and their.

  13. I've been wondering for a long time why Bishops are democrats - why so many bishops remain silent. I now fear that the Democrats are using blackmail against them. All men have carnal tendencies and most priests would feel bad about their carnal past. Democrats also use extortion and fear. Threats against a Bishop's immediate family could force him to silence. This courageous priest has opened a hornet's nest.

  14. To bishop Callahan
I pray that your heart and eyes might be open to the error of your ways and that you might take steps to correct your behavior and heal the wound you have inflicted on the Body of Christ. Abortion truly has inflicted 60million wounds. St Paul said preach the truth and you are condemning father James Altman. May God have mercy on your soul. Father Altman has God's blessing.

  16. I AM FROM PENNSYLVANIA, AND NOT A CATHOLIC, BUT I AM SO IMPRESSED WITH FATHER ALTMAN'S COURAGE AND TRUTH! I PRAY FOR THIS STRENGTH THAT ONLY COMES FROM GOD HIMSELF TO COME TO ALL CLERGY, NOT JUST CATHOLIC. I AM A BAPTIST AND AM IN TOTAL AGREEMENT WITH FATHER ALTMAN. THESE ARE BIBLICAL TRUTHS! THEY DON'T BELONG TO ANY ONE DENOMINATION. THIS IS THE PROBLEM! PEOPLE DON'T READ THEIR BIBLE. WE'VE ALLOWED THESE LIBERAL, LEFT WING THINKERS TO TAKE OVER THAT WHICH GOD HAS PUT IN PLACE. THIS IS WHY OUR CHILDREN HAVE GIVEN UP ON CHURCH, WHY ABORTION BECAME LEGAL WHICH OUR TAX DOLLARS SUPPORT. THIS IS WHY THERE ARE SO MANY VIOLENT PEOPLE IN THE WORLD! IT'S BECAUSE WE EXCHANGED GOD'S TRUTH FOR THE LEFTS LIES! WE MUST TURN BACK TO THE ALMIGHTY BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE. TAKE THE ONLY PATH TO GOD, JESUS CHRIST. YOU PEOPLE ARE SO BLESSED TO HAVE THIS MAN IN YOUR MIDST! PRAY FOR HIM, ENCOURAGE HIM, AND SUPPORT HIM!! HE IS A MESSENGER FROM GOD!

    1. Yes, there is infiltration at so many levels in so many faith denominations. We need to support all preachers, priests who are remaining faithful to God's word. Rebuke all who spread lies!

  17. Fr. Altman is God's voice of TRUTH. Bishop Callahan, disappointment reigns in the lies spread, the UCCB being all in on Covid and bowing to political rule. Father Altman has opened not only my eye's but millions in and out of the Catholic faith to standing up to the devil.

  18. Bishop Callahan you will not silence the truth. Father Altman speaks the truth. Bishop Vigano speaks the truth. Jesus taught us the TRUTH. You will have to answer for your cowardice as Judas did for betraying the TRUTH.

  19. Father Altman has been a light during this long period of darkness. I give thanks I found Father Altman on the internet, as thousands of starving Catholics have, while being locked out of our parishes, and denied holy communion. He fed us when we were starving. He brought light to much we were not taught. He is a true shepherd. You should be celebrating you have a Priest so full of love and dedication to our Lord and his people. Why are you weeding out the blessed ones while the wicked stay? Are you unaware of the loss of the faithful due to the sinfulness of so many of our shepherds? I will continue to pray for our church. I will pray for you and I will pray for Father Altman, to be reinstated immediately.

  20. How do we support Father Altman?
Can we have the phone number of that Evil Bishop?

  21. We need MORE Voices like Fr. Altman, not LESS! Bishop Callahan, you have joined the ranks of the spineless, cowardly bishops, who when they hear something they don't like, as in TRUTH Vs. fiction, use their power to "lord it over them." To silence a strong, holy, spirit-filled voice for speaking the truth, is unconsciencenable and grossly unjust. Our Lady said that the "halls of hell are lined with bishops and priests." What a horror to imagine. Please, Bishop Callahan, rethink and repent of this grave error, and do not go to hell.

  22. I'm wondering if there is an email address for Father Altman?

It is also my life's work to correct the use of the Protestant inspired name for the Church (RC) so I hope you all find this brief history useful.
