Thank Komen Today!

I forgot to point out in yesterday's post that we should all thank Komen for their decision to discontinue their grants to Planned Parenthood.  Those who now Race for the Cure can rest assured that they will no longer be funding the murder of babies, and that their efforts will go towards helping women.  You can send them your message of gratitude via email to news@komen.org.

By the way - not only will Komen's money not go towards abortion, but it won't be used to produce such sorry crap as the video below (produced by Golden Gate Planned Parenthood).  Click here if you can't see embedded video.

DC Councilmember Arrested For Protesting Abortion Funding Ban

Mary Cheh was arrested yesterday after she and others protested HR 3, that bans abortion funding in DC.  A few weeks ago, Vincent Gray was arrested for doing the same thing.  If they keep this up, they'll soon be running the DC government from jail.  Perhaps Marion Barry could give them some how-to tips for doing that.

By the way - Vincent Gray is ostensibly Catholic.  Yet he is willing to be jailed for the "right" to murder babies?  He attends St Mary's, just east of Chinatown, and that pastors have been instructed by Cardinal Wuerl to give Holy Communion to pro-abortion politicians "because they do not know the state of the soul" of these pro-aborts.

Yoo  hoo!  Your Eminence and all interested parties!  Here's Canon 915 in its entirety.  Those upon whom the penalty of excommunication or interdict has been imposed or declared, and others who obstinately persist in manifest grave sin, are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.

As I read this, I see no mention at all about "knowing the state of someone's soul".  What I do see is language about those who persist in manifest grave sin.  I would say that promotion of the legalized murder of children to the point of getting arrested is "persisting in manifest grave sin".  Per Canon 915, the denial of Holy Communion to someone exhibiting that behavior is an obligation enjoined upon the minister of Holy Communion.  It is NOT open to "pastoral interpretation" or whatever the cop-out mumbo-jumbo-du-jour might happen to be.  This is not complicated; you're only pretending it to be so in order to dodge culpability for disobedience to this straightforward Canon.  All you clergy who try this flim-flam deceive no one but yourselves - even at that, I don't think you entrely succeed.

Naughtiness in Annapolis!

Two days ago, I blogged about the abortion funding-by-subterfuge that the Messiah Most Miserable was trying to accomplish in Pennsylvania.  Now there's much back-peddling going on.

Well, it now seems that Maryland was caught with its hand in the proverbial cookie jar - this from Jill Staneck's blog

Again, fellow Marylanders - this whole sticking cabal is up for re-election in a few months.  Be on the lookout for my recommendations.  (Reminder - since Faithful Catholics in MD/DC is not a tax-exempt charity, we are not muzzled by those onorous IRS regs).

Did USCCB Grease The Skids for Obamacare?

Michael Hichborn of American Life League reminds us all of the USCCB's role in the debacle that occurred last March when the Hell Bill was passed.  They tried to engage in the myth that the Hell Bill mess could be "abortion neutral", even though it was rife with anti-life provisions.  (Click here if you cannot see embedded video).

"But there's this executive order to prevent abortion funding!", some will insist on declaring.  Well, boys and girls, have a seat because you will be shocked - just shocked! - to hear that the Messiah Most Miserable is awarding Pennsylvania $160 million for a "high-risk insurance program" that will fund abortions.  Read the details from Lifesite News

Those of us who did not just jump off the turnip truck knew this was just a matter of time.  Thank you, Sister Carol, and yes, thank you USCCB for furthering the murdering of babies because of your insane lust for a socialistic utopia!

Mahoney's Baloney

When asked in an interview if he agreed with his brother cardinal, Justin Rigali, that there should be language in the Obamacare bill that explicitly bans public funding of abortion, His Emminence gave an eloquent, stellar answer truly worthy of his faith. My paltry words cannot do it justice, so let this grace your ears!

C'mon, now! I didn't say this "faith" was the True Roman Catholic Faith now, right?

This is "way beyond his field"? Gee whiz! I thought the teaching of faith and morals was right smack-dab within the purview of a Prince of the Church.

The thinking (or lack thereof?) is interesting. Let's try that line of thought (using the term lightly) with another scenario.

Reporter: "Do you think there should be language in the bill that explicitly excludes funds for wife-beating?"
Mahoney: "This is way beyond my field (said dismissively). My field is immigration!"

Had that been the conversation, the hue and cry for his resignation would be deafening - and rightly so.

Doesn't this remind you of the ridiculous statement of the Messiah Most Miserable himself during his campaign? When pressed for his beliefs as to when life begins and thus is to be held inviolable from abortion, he said that "was above his pay grade."

"Way above my pay grade", "way beyond my field".. I accept and agree with these admissions of gross incompetence and the refusal to grasp even the most basic tenets of common sense. Now that these incompetents have admitted their unsuitability to their respective tasks, let us pray that they have the grace to resign their lofty positions, lest they wreck more havoc than they've already done.
