Upcoming Sacrilege At Shrine of Immaculate Conception In DC

From the Interfaith Conference I received an email detailing The 31st Annual Interfaith Concert.  I attended one several years ago - at the Shrine.  It truly was a disgusting spectacle to behold: scantily-clad Hindu dancing girls prancing across the altar, Muslims chanting to "allah".

To the right is the mosaic of Christ under which the blasphemies occurred then, and will occur in two months.  This is an image of Christ coming in final judgment.  I cannot help but believe His countenance is just as stern when He looks upon such follies occurring within His Church.  Does He love those who blaspheme?  Of course He does.  When will we learn, though, that it is no act of love whatsoever to allow His lost sheep to continue in their errors?  We must preach His saving truth to them - not allow them to continue to trifle with their eternal destinies.

By the way - I took a little tour of the Interfaith Conference website.  Talk about a trip through indifferentism!  On the main page, we see that there will be an "interfaith dialog" between the Archdiocese of Washington and the Islamic Society of North America.  Hey!  Before when did we hear that name?  Now go to the "bridge builders" page to see how the John Paul II Cultural Center was recently misused.

Now we get to have a lesson in patent dishonesty.  Go to "learn about member religions" and you'll see their logo, enlarged.  Each of the symbols therein is "clickable", with the links taking you to a blurb about its respective creed.  Click on the "crescent and star" to be redirected to an explanation of Islam - well, kinda.  It's been sanitized to an extent.  The Islamic declaration of faith quoted therein is "There is no god but God and Muhammad is God’s messenger."  The words in fuscha are the substituted, sanitized words for the actual originals.  What really belongs there, to render it the true Islamic declaration is the word "Allah".  Google the phrase "there is no god but allah" and you will bring up a gajillion Islamic sites that unambiguously proclaim that phrase.   So why, oh why, does the Interfaith Conference slop around with the terminology in such fashion?  I think we can all venture a guess.  They want to help perpetuate the illusion that the "god" of Islam and the Judeo/Christian God are the same.  They aren't - pure and simple.

The entire goal of the Interfaith Conference seems to be to quietly insinuate the heresy of indifferentism into our belief systems.  The fact that the rectors of the National Shrine are allowing the Shrine to be a part of this effort is despicable.  I can only hope they are truly ignorant of what they are doing.  However, if they had just the slightest amount of common sense, they would have to know that something is dreadfully wrong with allowing songs to false gods to be sung before the Blessed Sacrament.  As a refresher to all, I again link to Mirari Vos, written by Pope Gregory XVI in 1832.  Pay special attention to paragraph 13.

Interfaith Conference - Kissing Hands That Beat Us

The Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington has put on "interfaith concerts" for many years now.  This is at best a very misguided attempt to "build dialogue" among religious faiths - even those whose tenets demand the destruction of other religions.  I speak of course of the Islamic heresy with its ruthless "jihad".  What it serves to do, in reality, is to anesthetize non-muslims to the very real dangers posed by islamic tenets.

They have these concerts at various places of worship on a rotating basis.  One year the management of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception saw fit to allow the Shrine to be desecrated by this sort of idolatry.  Let's face it; in allowing others to come in to the Shrine and worship their false idols, they committed horrible sin.  I attended that concert to see if it was as bad as I envisioned.  It was in the Upper Church and yes, it was that bad.  One number entailed half-naked Hindu dancing girls prancing and traipsing in front of the main altar to the sound of chanting and wailing and banging tambourines.  It was an atrocity.  I had enough and left.  Anyone who has been to the Shrine will recognize the picture to the right.  It is the largest mosaic of Jesus in the world, and it is immediately above the scene of the blasphemies and idolatries of that evening.  Can anyone doubt that He had a similar expression on His Face as He looked down on that evening's spectacle?

In today's parish bulletin I saw announced the next concert.  It will occur at the Washington Hebrew Congregation.  The honoree that evening will be Imam Mohamed Magid.  Who is he?  Google him.  I did.  The PJ Tattler blog put up a piece about him last July.  Among other things, Magid is president of the Islamic Society of North America.  He's a frequent White House guest (Surprise!  Not!)  He lobbied the Justice Department to criminalize criticism of Islam.  He gave an award to CAIR-Michigan executive director Dawud Walid, who just a month prior had this to say about Jews: (note - at 3:12 the English starts)

This Walid is a bit of a Jew-hater.  Listen at 13:26 when he says that Muslims have more right to Moses than do the Jews.  And keep listening as he claims that "it is a lie that the Jewish people were promised the Holy Land".  At 15:08 comes the question "who incurred the wrath of allah", guess what the answer is?

Now remember - Magid gave an award to Walid shortly after the latter uttered the screed that you just heard.  Now the Interfaith Conference is in turn giving an award to Magid?  Why on earth the Washington Hebrew Congregation is allowing this on their premises is beyond me.  If this were happening at a Catholic venue, a picket would be organized in a hurry.  If in fact some stout-hearted Jews are going to picket, let me know via a comment and I'll be happy to support your efforts.

National Shrine Scheduled To Be Defiled

On September 17th, I gave "first notice" about the blasphemy at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception that is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, November 16th.  It is called "The 31st Annual Interfaith Concert".  It is being produced by the Interfaith Conference.  I urge you to look at the link to the September 17th post, for contained therein is some information about the foundation - namely, how it greases the skids to the heresy of indifferentism.

The notice I just received informs me that Fred and Lesley Israel will be honored.  Just who are they?  The announcement doesn't say a whole lot - but a person's politics does say lots  about their beliefs and governing philosophies.

A person's politics govern how he/she donates.  Ladies and gentlemen, I'm sure you are aware that your contributions to candidates for Federal office are a matter of public record.  As such, websites are devoted to the same - newsmeat.com is one of them, and that does tell a story about Fred Israel.  You can link to that record here and here, but I'll just highlight some key recipients of his donations over the years: Bill Clinton, John Kerry, Barbara Mikulski, Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, Mark Shriver, Frank Kratovil - pro-abortion Democrats (save for one donation to Phil Graham) all.  Lesley Israel has made it a point to contribute - several times - to Emily's List, which is explicitly devoted to electing pro-abortion candidatesOthers on her list include Mikulski, Ben Cardin and yes, the Messiah Most Miserable himself.

With their last name, I don't believe the Israels are Catholic, so it's incorrect to state that they are violating their creeds with such contributions.  However, the question must be asked - why are supporters of abortion rights being honored at a Catholic Bascilica?  In fact, why is the entire blasphemy being allowed to occur there?  There will be Baha'is, Buddhists, Muslims, etc singing songs and praying to their false gods on a Catholic altar!   Ladies and gentlemen, can we say the word "abomination"?

Here is contact information.  Please let your concerns be made known.  Thank you.

Pope Francis Rebukes SOME Fees Collected In Churches

Two days ago, the Pope rebuked priests and parishes that levy fees for baptism, Mass intentions, etc.  He invoked the image of Jesus chasing the money changers out of the temple.  Does his displeasure include the renting out of church facilities for concerts?   There are two instances that come to my mind.

One incident may be fresh on many people's minds.  A good friend of mine, when she read the above, wondered how the Holy Father could have rented out the Sistine Chapel last month.  This happened last month and it cost a pretty penny to be allowed into the Sistine Chapel for that time slot.  Problem!  It's still a church, even for that moneyed time slot.  Does Canon Law permit the prohibition of valid church visiting without an entrance fee?  I would think not (canon lawyers, please educate me if I'm incorrect), and I don't think "charity" poses a valid reason to block the free use of a church for all Catholics.

Another incident happened seven years ago, at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington DC.  The administration of the Shrine allowed the Upper Church to be commandeered by the Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington.  I wrote a bit about the blasphemies that occurred there.  What I neglected to mention is that I had to pay for admittance to the Upper Church that evening.  At no time should I, a Catholic, have to pay for admittance to a Catholic Church, let alone to have idolatry displayed before my eyes and ears.  Period.

Michael Hichborn On Deep-Seated Corruption At USCCB

Recently Michael Hichborn of Lepanto Institute gave a talk regarding the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, and of the monkey business that comprises their entire purpose for existence.   I'll post it below, but will also link to previous posts of mine in which the content coincides with Hichborn's statements.  When we reach the 20:00 mark in the video, Hichborn talks about immigration.  So consider:
At the 38:15 mark, consider what Hichborn says about Ralph McCloud being both the director of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development and a board member of Interfaith Worker Justice.  Until now, I did not know that this huge conflict of interest existed.

At the 44:48 mark, Hichborn states that "there is no salvaging the CCHD. The only thing that can be done with it at this point is to shut it down permanently."  I've been saying that for years.  In fact, I've been saying that about the entire USCCB.

Bear in mind the very ending: an exhortation to pray the Rosary daily and maintain testimony to the truth.  Please pass this along to your other contacts.

Rotten Easter Eggs From Pope Francis

Seven years ago, Pope Francis said that "the Way of the Cross is the story of God's failure".  I'm not sure what point he was trying to make and it really doesn't matter.  One doesn't communicate anything worthwhile by blaspheming God.  I believe that on September 14th we celebrate the Triumph of the Cross, not the failure of the Cross.

But if he is still searching for a way to caricaturize Good Friday as some sort of colossal debacle, someone should remind him that it's already done, and that he led it.  Here is that "way of the Cross", on the Vatican's website, that is a pathetic parody of Christ's salvific act.

Word counts tell a lot about the thinking (or lack thereof) of the author of the piece.  The word "sin" appears once.  "Repent" and "salvation" aren't found once.  The word "cross" is found in the title, but that's all.  This whole thing is nothing but "social justice warrior" pig-slop.

He also announced that he will attend an "interfaith meeting" in Kazakhstan this coming September.  It's called the 7th World Religions Conference.  No, Pope Francis, the Roman Catholic Faith is not just one of many.  It is the one handed down by Christ Himself through the One True Church.  Taylor Marshall has some analysis in the video below.

Most know of the pope's penchant for quashing orders dedicated to the Traditional Catholic Faith.  A house of Discalced Carmelite nuns in Fairfield, PA saw their chaplains ordered to cease ministering to them.  Essentially, that means they are deprived of the Sacraments.  Moreover, they must conform to Cor Orans that will only serve to dilute, if not destroy, their charism.

Something is rotten at the Vatican.  It must be the rotten eggs smelling of sulfur.  The denizens of the Vatican had best be careful, lest they smell sulfur for eternity.

USCCB Joins Liberal Whine-Fest Over Limbaugh

It appears that the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, in its never-ending quest to be politically correct, has signed onto a complaint to the FCC against "hate speech". What "hate speech"? Why, it's the variety that comes from Rush Limbaugh and other conservative talk radio.

The USCCB has jumped onto the bandwagon of a self-styled "national interfaith coaltion for media justice" that calls itself "So We Might See". Notice that they mention Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage by name. The USCCB has its hands full with nuns doing deathscort duty at abortuaries, Catholic colleges teaching heresy and honoring pro-aborts, liturgical abuse everywhere, etc, etc - and they choose to go after talk radio? Might that be because 1) talk radio exposes so much of the USCCB's own malfeasance 2) they want to score brownie points with the liberal money-bag holders and power brokers?

The reasons are probably all of the above, and I'll suggest one more. My fellow bloggers who love Holy Mother Church, they may wish to create the legal precedent to go after us. I wouldn't put anything past this cabal.
