Envirowhacko "Easter"

An outfit called "Earth Day Network" has sent to many (if not most) Catholic pastors the not-so-brilliant idea of devoting their Easter homilies to Earth Day!  Apparently it wasn't enough for them to try to bastardize Lent.  Now they're after the holiest day of the year for Catholics.  As you watch the Vortex clip below, notice the left-wing puppets who comprise their "Advisory Committee".  Well, here's some of advice from me, whether you like it or not.

To these envirowhackos:  Please screw your lightbulbs back in.  You've been groping in the dark way too long.

To faithful Catholics whose pastors may be prone to follow such nonsense: Take a small digital recorder with you; make sure you can upload recordings to your computer via usb port and software.  Record the homily and expose this foolishness.

Here's a link to the memo.  Now understand that this is indeed earth worship.  Many of these people are becoming quite open about their earth worship - and their disdain for humanity.   Just today, the First Things blog picked up on a radical environmentalist who calls humans "a cancer on this earth".  Those of us in Silver Spring will recall James Lee, the envirowhacko who held hostages at the Discovery Channel Building last September.  Read that link and recall that his environmentalism views were very much held by their so-called "intelligentsia".

Boys and girls, can we say "pagan idolotry"?  Click here if you cannot see embedded video.

Lenten Carbon Fast - It's BAAAACK!

A perverse form of "lenten mortification" has returned to insult the intelligence of reasonable people.  Yes, "Earthministry.org" has snookered at least one Catholic parish in the Archdiocese of Washington into glommng onto the nonsensical farce called the "Lenten Carbon Fast" - Blessed Sacrament in the Chevy Chase area, to be precise.

Here's this year's "calendar" for your reading (dis)pleasure.  We start off Ash Wednesday by unscrewing our light bulbs (why don't they just suggest we not turn the lights on?).  Oh, things get even more profounds as we continue.  On March 20th, we are instructed to "Go for a walk.  Get wet.  Dig the earth."  Wow!  Can ya (wait for this!) dig thisCoolGroovy, man!  We can tell this mess was compiled by now-aged 1960-style hippies who never quite grew up!

On April 3rd, we are served the obligatory "environmental guilt trip".  That is, we're supposed to "think prayerully" how we, the "richest nation", are consuming 80% of the world's resources.  Not mentioned, of course, is that the US is actually developing the bulk of the resources.  On April 6th, we're urged to watch some environmentalist propaganda; we're given a list of movies from which to select.  Of course, Al Gore's Inconvenient Truth is included.  Hey - if we're going to "think prayerfully" on something, how about the "inconvenient truth" that 3500 babies are being murdered every day in this country?  Now that is something for which the US should be ashamed - including Al Gore, a big proponent of baby-murder.

On March 26th, they're going to celebrate Earth Hour!  What is that?  Why, they're "taking action on climate change" by (now wait for this lovely suggestion!) turning off your lights for one hour at 8:30pm local time.  Well, guess what?  I'll have every light in my home blazing during that hour!  We can call this "Light Up The Night!"

By the way - did you notice all the crass, profit-centered commercials, masquerading as "climate-friendly suggestions" (shal we say)?   In addition to their own "shameless self-plug" on April 15th, we see on April 13th a number of seed and gardening suppliers suggested to us.  On March 23rd, we're urged to "reward ourselves for all our efforts so far - with chocolate!"  Then they plug "theochocolate".  Hey - I love chocolate as much as anyone else does - but can't they be honest about these promotions?  Sheesh!

Enough of this envirowhacko profanation and exploitation of Lent!  Here are some time-honored suggestions.
  • If you're not attending daily Mass, try to get there a few times a week
  • Make a good confession (mandatory if you're in mortal sin)
  • Attend Stations of the Cross
  • Pray at an abortion mill where babies are dying.  For locations close to you, consult http://www.40daysforlife.com/ and search for a local presence there.
  • Contribute money to a pro-lfe charity that actually will save babies.  Some suggestions are on the right side-bar
The underpinnings to this "environmentalism" and "climate change" hysteria, being deliberately contrived, are really quite ominous.  I encourage you to watch an expose of this sham as produced by RealCatholicTV.  I link to it here.  In addition, please put the words "climate change" and "environmentalism" in this blog's search box.  Read the postings; look at the linked material.  I'll also leave you with one more; put the words "James Lee" in the search box.  You might recall that he was the perpetrator in the police stand-off last September in Silver Spring.  Look closely and see how he was impacted by the inherently anti-life underpinnings of the same philosphy that created the Lenten Carbon Fast.

Remember James Lee? Whose "Rhetoric" Is Causing Violent Outbursts?

Ample evidience abounds that Jared Loughner was not motivated in the least by conservative thought.  He had drug problems and several run-ins with law officials.  His Youtube channel states that his favorite books include Hitler's Mein Kampf and the Communist Manifesto.  That same channel show a video of him burning the US flag.

Now let's recall another insane man who undoubtedly was listening to left-wing rhetoric.  I call to your memories one James Lee.  Last September, he held a number of people hostage in the Discovery Channel Building in Silver Spring MD.  He had bombs and threatened to use them.  While only he was killed in the stand-off, he did manage to shut down Silver Spring for a good part of the day.  I posted about that when it happened.  Here it is.  Read the links to see how he was heavily influenced by radical environmentalisn.  Many other proponents of radical environmentalism are unabashedly contemptuous of human life.  Want proof?  Go here and here, making sure you follow the links in those articles.

Now here's another link revealing that Lee was pro-abortion.  When you read that piece, follow the link to Jill Stanek's blog, where you can see and hear Lee arguing with pro-life demonstrators and espousing his strange world views.

So according to evidence that Lee himself willingly supplied, he was a pro-abortion radical environmentalist.  Now perhaps my memory is failing me, but I sure don't recall hearing any liberal pundits calling for pro-abortion and/or environmentalists to tone down their "inflamatory" talk after Lee was killed.  After all, Lee himself made no secret of his proclivities, did he?

Now of course I don't think environmentalists and pro-abortion folks are to blame for the Discovery Channel stand-off.  The one guilty party has met his eternal fate.   However, liberal/progressive pundits are doing their utmost to stretch all kinds of logic to ascribe some sort of blame for Gifford's shooting to Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, talk radio, Tea Party, any of the voices of conservatism.  Read this Newsbusters account of one debate.  Newsbusters does a good job of exposing the double-standard.

Dear liberal pundits: nice try, but no cigar.  We're here and we will exercise our First Amendment rights.  You may not think it's "civil", since "civility" to you seems to mean that all must fall lock-step with your progressive programs, or else!  (Recall the video in one of this post's earlier links)

Anti-Life Underpinnings Of Environmentalism

First, thanks to Breitbart.tv for the heads-up on this.

If you want graphic (and I DO mean graphic!) evidence that the Culture of Death is behind the latest environmental and "going green" fad, then continue.

10:10 is some nutso campaign to cut carbon emissions by 10% per year.  Go to their website to see their "lofty" goals.  Then, if you have the stomach for it, watch the video below that depicts non-believers in their strange dogma being blown up into bloody puddles.  I'm not kidding!  This is barbarism beyond words.  They even show this happening to children.  Again, I warn you, THIS IS GRAPHIC, but it shows just how cheaply they value people's lives.  (Click here if you can't see embedded video)

It's far-fetched, you say?  Remember James Lee (see my first, second and third posts on him) and the situation at the Discovery Channel building last week?  How about Earth Liberation Front - or the Unabomber?  Anything that puts human welfare on a par, or even below, anything else in creation is deadly.  It is we, mankind, who are created in God's image and likeness.

Let's remember this when we read about "environmental justice committees" in our parishes, or the next time they try to foist a "lenten carbon fast" (put the phrase "lenten carbon fast" in the search box to see relevant posts) down our throats.

More "Respectable" Eco-Whackoism

Again, here is more evidence to make plain that James Lee's demented beliefs are all too common amongst those who adhere to "environmentalism", "animal rights", "eugenics" and the rest of the anti-human cabal.

Here is a piece from Center for Consumer Freedom showing how the Humane Society of the United States is not so "humane" after all.  As you read this, note that one of the proponents of these nutty ideas is a subsidiary of Discovery Channel; did the "chickens come home to roost" last week?

Another so-called "respectable" adherent of the anti-human mindset is the European Union.  They are considering a proposal to limit the usage of animals in medical research. A relevant portion of that proposal is, “Member States shall ensure that, wherever possible, a scientifically satisfactory method or testing strategy, not entailing the use of live animals, shall be used instead of a procedure.”  And what might be such a "satisfactory method"?   You guessed it!  They would opt for the use of human embryos for said research.  By the way - that's living human embryos!  Joseph Mengele (the notorious Nazi doctor) would be so proud!

Discovery Terrorist Espoused Mainline Environmentalist Mantras

James Jay Lee had a debate with American Life League activists during their "Protest the Pill" event at the 16th Street Planned Parenthood last year.  The videos are posted on Jill Staneck's blog.  Please read what she says, as the text and the first and third videos establish Lee's identity.  It's the second one in which he espouses his warped world view.

That world view, be it ever so demented, is shared by many environmentalists: some highly placed, in positions of respectability.  If you thought savetheplanetprotest was a whacky site to read, try this one - only it's not some thrown-together text on the web; it appears in Psychology Today.  It's entitled "The Five Year Ban: Because A Billion Less People Is A Great Place To Start" by Steven Kotler.  As the title implies, this man is calling for a 5-year moratorium on babies being born!  Really, now?  And just how does he think such a draconian farce of a law would be enforced?  That would make Red China look benign in comparison!

Hostage Standoff In Silver Spring MD Today

By now most people have heard of the drama that took place in Silver Spring MD today.  I needn't repeat the details as they are on most of the major news outlets.  I do urge one and all to pray for God's mercy on the soul of James Lee.

According to this Reuters article, Lee had been arrested at the Discovery Building before, as he protested about environmental issues.  Apparently a website called http://savetheplanetprotest.com/ is registered in his name.  It demanded that Discovery aim programming to urge people to stop having babies.

A quote from this webiste is "Civilization must be exposed for the filth it is. Saving the Planet means saving what's left of the non-human Wildlife by decreasing the Human population. That means stopping the human race from breeding any more disgusting human babies!"   Read the whole site.  It is chock-full of the Culture of Death.  As you read it, think again of the "climate change" expose done by Real Catholic TV.
