Marylanders - Vote No On Question 3 This November

The map of the Maryland state legislative districts is taken from the liberal site Maryland Matters.  The caption at the top read “Legislative Panel Releases District Map that Helps Vulnerable Democrats”.  Well, I must commend them for being honest about their intentions for this map.  By no means, however, are Democrats “vulnerable” in Maryland.  They intended to completely stifle any Republican voice whatsoever.  Just look at that map.  The area between Washington DC and Baltimore is a complete mess, with one district being totally surrounded by another.  Now why is that?  Because there remain stubborn enclaves of Republicans, and the Democrats want to stifle their voices via gerrymandered elections.

Question 3 on the Maryland ballot in November addresses this question on the national level.  A picture of what the Democrats plan to cram down our throats is also attached.  Notice what they want to do to Federal District 1, the eastern shore currently represented by Andy Harris.  He is the lone Republican from Maryland in Congress, and solidly pro-life.

You can also see what they did to Federal District 6 years back.  Once it encompassed only the western panhandle, and that too had pro-life representation in Congress.  The Democrats monkeyed that around to include large swathes of liberal, pro-abortion Montgomery County.  Now that district is solidly pro-abortion.  Also observe how District 4 snakes around other districts.  That is beyond ridiculous.

Ladies and gentlemen, let us be frank to the point of being blunt.  Thanks to President Trump neutering the Johnson Amendment, we can speak a bit more freely about such matters, especially since the Democrats are completely unabashed about their pro-baby-murder and pro-perversions planks in their party platform.  Their immediate goal is obvious.  They wish to disenfranchise a whole area of the state (eastern shore) by swamping it with liberal voters from Harford, Cecil, and Baltimore counties.  They want to drive Andy Harris out, and prevent any more conservative and pro-life people from Maryland going to Congress.

In a free election, the voters choose their elected officials.  If this measure passes, it will be the officials choosing their voters.  This is not how a republic should work.  I used the word “republic” deliberately for our system of government is that of a constitutional republic, not a pure democracy.  Honest and intelligent voters on both sides of the aisle must keep it that way.

The language to Question 3 is attached.  Please vote no on that question and urge your families and friends to do the same.

A Candidate For The Maryland Elections

In November of 2026, the entire legislative body in Annapolis, from the Governor on down, will be up for reelection.  The US House of Representatives will also be up.  With one exception, the entire bunch of Representatives is rabidly pro-abortion, pro-perversion and anti-God.  That includes Jamie Raskin of District 8, the lower part of Montgomery County.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Anita Mpambara Cox who is running as a Republican to unseat Raskin and to take his seat.  To good people residing in Maryland's Federal district 8, I urge you to support her in June.  She will soon have her website up so that you can learn more about her.

Oh, and one more little note on the legal side.  This blog, and its parent company, are NOT a "501c" anything.  That means we can endorse political candidates.  Actually we could anyway, now that Trump has defanged the Johnson Amendment that gagged not-for profits' political speech.  As elections draw closer, I will be posting more such items.

Marylanders! Two Terrible Bills Are Being Pushed Through The MD Legislature! Your Voice Needed Monday March 30

Two horrible bills are making their way through the Annapolis state legislature.  They both require IMMEDIATE ATTENTION NOW!

The first is HB 1131.  This bill, in effect, would legalize infanticide: that is, out-of-birth-canal baby-killing.  Medical professionals who report such deaths would be penalized.  As of today, it has been referred to the Judiciary Committee.

The second is HB 0649.  From the bill synopsis on the MD General Assembly site, we read "Authorizing the Commission on Civil Rights to enforce a prohibition against discrimination and retaliation in educational institutions based on race, color, national origin, ethnicity, ancestry, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, age, or marital status; establishing the powers, duties, and limitations of the authority of the Commission on Civil Rights to enforce the prohibition against educational discrimination; establishing a private right of action"

Right there, we see that private faith-based schools could be forbidden to operate in conformity with their religious beliefs.  In short, they would have to disobey God to conform to all sorts of "sexual orientations" and/or "gender identities".  Among other things, teachers and officials could face pressure to utilize make-believe "pronouns" under threat of legal action or even school shut-down.

The goal of both these bills are to advance anti-God and anti-life agendas while actively stifling those who would stand against them to honor God.

Testimony from any Maryland citizens regarding HB 0649 be accepted Monday 3/30 - that is, TOMORROW.  Please go to https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/MyMGATracking/WitnessSignup.  If you don't already have a profile established, please do so now.  It's actually quite easy.  Make it a point to do so.  Your voice actually does matter - especially in an election year.  I will have more to say on the upcoming MD elections in a future post.

Maryland Elections

I've already stated the reasons why I'm supporting Trump for President many times on this blog.  At this time I'd like to focus the Senate and Congress races.

One of the reasons why I'm supporting Trump has to do with Supreme Court nominees (as well as those of lower courts).  Per the US Constitution, the President nominates candidates to fill judicial seats.  These nominations are subject to the approval of the United States Senate.  Obviously the composition of the Senate is crucial.  In Maryland, Barbara Mikulski, "katholyc" in name only, has supported baby-killing, sodomy and all other manners of quasi-socialistic bills during her all-too-long career in the Senate.  She is retiring and we have an opportunity to fill her seat with a decent candidate.  We have that in Republican Kathy Szeliga.  Please support her whole-heartedly.

For the eight seats that Maryland has in the US Congress, please vote the GOP ticket in your district.  Some folks have consternation regarding Amie Hoeber, GOP candidate for the 6th Congressional district (happens to be mine).  It appears that she is pro-abortion and supports funding for Planned Parenthood.  However, in her favor, she opposes assisted suicide and Obamacare.  She also opposes the de facto persecution of Christians that is currently gathering steam.  As a Republican, she generally opposes governmental intrusion into our lives; Common Core is one such intrusion that she opposes.  Her opponent, incumbent John Delaney, another "katholyc" in name only, is the typical Democrat who not only supports any and all abortions, but every other attack on life and morality.  Again, we can vote for a flawed candidate to oppose his/her even more flawed opponent.

There are some local ballot questions about which I'll comment later.

Carhart's Fifth Abortion Botch-Job In Germantown Results In Another Woman Taken Away By Ambulance

Almost two weeks ago in Germantown Maryland (July 2) an ambulance pulled up to Germantown Reproductive Health Services and took yet another injured woman to the hospital (presumably Shady Grove).  Since Carhart set up shop there and started murdering babies in the latter parts of their pregnancies, four ambulances have rolled into that parking lot to take women to get real medical help.  In reality, Carhart injured five women; the first, Jennifer Morbelli, was taken to the hospital after her family could not reach Carhart.  She subsequently died.

Operation Rescue has more details here, along with video.  You will note that this incident required the assistance of two ambulance crews.  OR suggests that the Maryland Board of Physicians be contacted and that we demand an honest investigation.  I concur, with a caveat.

In November, the entire State of Maryland government, from the governor on down, is up for election.  I'd suggest that all Maryland citizens of good will do all in their power to keep Anthony Brown from moving into the Statehouse after his boss Martin O'Malley leaves.  As long as the Democrat party of death holds the reins of power, there will be no honest investigation of these abortionists.  Why do we think Carhart set up shop in Maryland in the first place?  O'Malley, Brown and Joshua Sharfstein have been openly wined and dined by Maryland NARAL at their various fundraisers.  Should the Dems retain power, they will NOT upset their gravy-trains.  No success in cleaning up Germantown will occur until we see clean-up in Annapolis and in Montgomery County.

Carhart's Indiana Abortuary Among Three Mills Closed This Week

Operation Rescue announced the happy news that three places where children were being murdered are now defunct.  One of them is a baby-killing center where Leroy Carhart worked one day per week.  The place in Indianapolis where Carhart worked was called Affiliated Women's Services and was owned by Lois Bennett.  It seems she owed about $20,000 in county taxes; the place was seized and will be sold at auction so that some of those taxes can be recouped.  It also appears that the Medical Licensing Board of Indiana was investigating the mill over questions related to patient safety.

Operation Rescue broached the Indiana officials about those matters and the latter at least seemed to address them with professionalism and impartiality.  They also broached the State of Maryland regarding Carhart after he sent his third Maryland victim to a hospital (one of them a fatality).  However, the Maryland State government, with the de facto abortuary employees that inhabit high offices in Maryland, have largely turned a blind eye to Carhart's many deficiencies.

Ladies and gentlemen - particularly Maryland citizens - this is why the upcoming election in November is so critical. (Reminder - Faithful Catholics of MD/DC Inc is not a 501c3 charity.  We can make any political statement that we wish).  We need to clean house in Maryland - that means Anthony Brown cannot be allowed to move into the State House; vote for Larry Hogan for governor.  We need to eject the NARAL puppets - including Joshua Sharfstein - from the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and other related state agencies.  We also need to rid county-level governments - particularly Montgomery County and Baltimore City - of the NARAL lackeys who wasted taxpayer dollars to try to stymie the First Amendment rights of pro-life pregnancy centers.  Only then do we stand half a chance of abating the slaughter within the State of Maryland.  I'll have more on the elections later.

I rejoice at the closure of Carhart's Indiana mill.  I only regret that this might mean he'll spend more time in Germantown killing babies.

Maryland Primaries September 14th!

So that I don't "reinvent the wheel" too much, I'll refer you to what I already wrote on July 26th.

There are additional comments.  I didn't elaborate enough on the Montgomery County Council in that previous post.  All I said was that they needed to go.  It turns out that two of the incumbents, Phil Andrews and Mike Knapp, aren't seeking reelection.  Interestingly enough, they are the only two who did not vote for the pregnancy center strangulation legislation this past winter.  Coincidence?

I went to a Candidates' Forum on August 25th, held at St Jane de Chantal.  The candidates were all the "at-large" candidates for County Council.  There were 14 candidates: 10 Democrats, 3 Republicans, 1 Green.  No questions from the audience were accepted (can't have any input from those...those...tea partiers now, can we?).  The predetermined questions focused on low-income housing and health care services.  Of course topics along the lines of baby murder or gay lifestyle promotion were avoided like the plague.  The Catholic "social justice" crowd didn't want to embarrass those who promote baby murder, I suppose.  But I digress!

From other input that I've received, I feel comfortable recommending Robert Dyer.  I don't know enough about the other Republicans to say anything, one way or the other.

I'll have more to say later, but I want to ask you all, particularly Marylanders, to review these links and above all, to get out the pro-life vote in Maryland.
