The Superiority Of The Traditional Latin Mass

There are two videos.  In the first, Taylor Marshall elaborates on what he believes are ten major differences between the Traditional Latin Mass and the Novus Ordo Mass.  Having experienced both, I can say that I agree with many of his points.  One point I would add is that the Traditional Latin Mass is conducive to more reverent behavior on the part of the congregation than does the Novus Ordo.  I could chalk that up to poor catechesis on the part of Novus Ordo attendees, but at the Novus Mass, I have seen grown adults chewing gum throughout the Mass.  I believe they did remove the gum to go to Communion.  By chewing the gum, however, they did break the Eucharistic fast, but that's a whole other discussion.

I wonder if Mother Miriam, in the second video, was alluding to a similar incident when she answered a caller to ensure them that it's understandable to be disgusted at a Novus Ordo Mass.  To illustrate Mother's point further, GloriaTV has video of what passed for Holy Thursday Mass at St Sabina's in Chicago, headed by the none-too-impressive Fr Pfleger.  It's a pity that the video didn't exist before last week for watching that gaudy mess, for that would have added much to Lenten mortification.

Now will Father Pfleger be rebuked for that mockery of a Mass?  Well, with Cardinal Cupich for a bishop, I highly doubt it.  In order for Cupich to get his undies bunched over a Mass, it would have had to be a Traditional Latin Mass, such as what used to be offered at St. John Cantius.

If you can, ladies and gentlemen, get yourselves to a Traditional Latin Mass.  So what, if you have to drive a longer distance than you normally would?  It's more than worth it.

Glenn Beck Interviews Taylor Marshall Regarding State Of The Church

Glenn Beck interviewed Taylor Marshall on his program yesterday.  They discussed some aspects of the Church's current situation, and Pope Benedict's book that was just released posthumously.  They went into some details regarding Archbishop Vigano's work for Benedict and how Vigano came to expose so much of the Church's corruption, particularly as it pertained to the now-disgraced Theodore McCarrick.  Please see below.

By the way - the title of this clip is "How Vatican City's Dark Secrets Are Relevant To You".  Make no mistake, they ARE relevant to each and every one of us.  No one can excuse themselves from the obligation to inform themselves of such matters.  No one can pretend that what happens in the Vatican has no bearing on their individual life.  It most certainly does, as what happens in the Church can have decisive consequences for eternal salvation, particularly if they remain culpably ignorant of them.

Halloween - How Should Catholics Approach This Day?

Around this time, there is a lot of back-and-forth between Catholics regarding the merits and demerits of celebrating Halloween with secular traditions.  One faction seems to advocate not celebrating it at all, citing satanic rituals that happen that day.  On the other hand, we have those who seem to think that simply because their childhoods included the secular traditions, those traditions are harmless.

I link now to a piece from Michael Matt that leans towards the second extreme.  I'm all for some fun on that day, but some of those traditions are sinful.  Take the pranks, for example.  Mention is made of soaping up car windows.  That is not innocent, harmless fun.  Boys and girls, can we say "vandalism"?  God forbid if one of those hapless car owners had a medical emergency during the night and needed to go to a hospital quickly.  First they had to wash their windows.  I've also dealt with the inherent sinfulness of pranks in a previous post.

Below is a clip of Father Ripperger and Taylor Marshall discussing this very topic.  In it are very good things that can be done to make Halloween both a fun and uplifting experience.  Father is an exorcist so I'd take him seriously when he advises against dressing as witches, ghosts, monsters, anything to do with the occult.

Of Pachamamas And Western Grannys

Taylor Marshall asked some questions about Francis (I don't know if I can call him pope any longer) and his obvious sin against the First Commandment.  First he asked if Francis can be called "Vicar of Christ" after this stunt, for in participating in pagan rites, he and the cardinals in attendance most likely excommunicated themselves.  Second, he asks how he could ban the Traditional Latin Mass yet still allow pachamama and western-granny idolatries to abound.  I don't think they are contradictory at all.  Everything he's done has as an objective the deconstruction of the One True Faith.  In actuality, that can never happen simply because God Himself cannot be moved aside.

Don't mess with this
western Granny!
Afterwards, Francis headed back to Rome on a plane and gave another interview.  Yep!  Here we go again - another episode of high-altitude-induced verbal diahrea!  Apparently we who hold to Tradition have "dead faith".  If by that he means that we don't believe in these pachamamas, western grandmothers, four directions, climate change and the such, I'll wear that badge with honor.  This is the same interview where he attempted verbal tap-dances in response to a question about contraception.  I touched on this Wednesday.  In that example of the death penalty, he called evil what the church has always held to be a good.  Now with contraception, it appears that he is preparing to call an intrinsic evil a good.  All this is heresy.  God's teachings cannot change for God Himself is immutable.

Perhaps that is why he dislikes Latin.  Latin is a dead language.  The meanings of its vocabulary cannot change.  Thus prayers offered in Latin mean exactly the same as they meant centuries ago.  Here is an excellent article on the subject.

We must not only pray, but resist.  Attend the Latin Mass.  Withhold donations where the Latin Mass is restricted.

In The Archdiocese Of Washington: Pelosi Admitted To Holy Communion, Traditional Latin Masses To Be Banned From Parishes

Word has it that Cardinal Gregory is set to clamp down severely on the few parishes that currently offer the Traditional Latin Mass.  In a nutshell, no parish will be allowed to host the Mass of the Ages.  Instead, attendees will be sent to one single Mass offered on the grounds of the Franciscan Monastery in the Brookland area of DC, not far from the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.  There will be no exceptions.  Remember - this same prelate didn't bat an eye when Nancy Pelosi received Holy Communion at Trinity church when her own bishop banned her from Holy Communion.  This means that absolute dissidents can receive Holy Communion, but the Traditional Latin Mass will be banned from the Archdiocese of Washington.

Now please listen to this next podcast in which Taylor Marshall and Michael Matt discuss the obvious obsession displayed by the pope in his quest to stamp out the Traditional Latin Mass.  We are in fact standing in his way of obliterating the Church as Jesus founded her and remaking it into a puppet of the New World Order.

Consecrated To The Immaculate Heart Of Mary, Or To Pachamama???

There is some confusion and consternation regarding some translations of the consecration prayer used today by the pope.  I linked to it a few days ago; obviously I linked to the English translation.  The phrase in question is "Queen of Heaven".  In the English, this is a perfectly fine reference to use for Our Lady.  However, in the Italian, the language used by the pope in the consecration prayer earlier today, the phrase put in its place was "tiera del cielo".  Roughly translated, it means "earth of heaven".  Some think this may be a not-so-veiled reference to the pachamama demon-idol.

Below are two videos, one from Taylor Marshall and the other from Michael Hichborn - both men whom I respect.  Marshall believes that the phrasing is, at best, suspicious.  Hichborn doesn't and he cites some Byzantine liturgies as precedents for the phrase's use.

I tend to side with Marshall on this one.  Even if Hichborn is correct in believing the phrase has basis for usage, it doesn't explain the variance between the English and Italian translations.  "Queen" simply doesn't get translated into "earth".  If anything, "Queen of Heaven" should be rendered "Regina Cielo" or something to that effect.  Why the disparity in those two words?  Most other languages, by the way, have the "earth of heaven" phrase as well.  So again, why is the English have a phrase that is more compatible with traditional Catholicism?

Well, call me a cynic, but I believe that you are looking at one of those reasons.  Blogs and other media outlets such as this, many of them in English-speaking countries, are run by us "neo-palagian rigid trads" who have obnoxious habits of calling the shots as we see them and doing so loudly and often.  Perhaps the Vatican thought we'd be so ecstatic about the consecration occurring that they thought we wouldn't notice such teensy details.  But, as they say, the devil is in the details - perhaps literally.

At the end of the day, though, there is hope that the consecration was done properly - not assurance but hope.  Both of the men below agree that no matter what, we must still conduct ourselves according to the requests of Our Lady of Fatima.  That means praying the Rosary daily and wearing the brown scapular.  That means keeping the Five First Saturday devotions.  That means prayer and penance.  We are still in for some intense battles so stay close to Our Lord and Our Lady.

With This Guitar, I Thee Bless

This sacrilege happened in the Archdiocese of Chicago.  Taylor Marshall (and others) ask a very relevant question.  How does Cupich allow that yet ban the Traditional Latin Mass?  It certainly seems indicative of Cupich's warped perspective and priorities, doesn't it?

Analysis Of The Pope's Candlemas Heresy And A Layman's Prophetic Rebuke

The heresy in question can be found at this Twitter link.  I now post below the Anchor Team episode from Friday Feb 4.  Michael Hichborn details why what the pope said about apostates - still embracing their apostacy - cannot be called "saints".

Taylor Marshall also offers his words on the matter.  He also shows the man who rebuked the pope right during those heretical remarks.  Echoing the prophet Samuel's words to the disobedient King Saul, he said to him "God has rejected you".  Are these words prophetic?  We cannot ascertain that at this time, but no doubt the pope's words were heretical.

How To Really Slop Up A Mass

Taylor Marshall's right!  The "music" (using the term loosely) in these anything-goes Masses is largely left-overs from the 1960s, or as some might put it, "so yesterday".  So what's to grab the attention of those young Catholics who haven't yet discovered the Traditional Latin Mass (quite a few of them have)?  Observe!

The Sin-Nod On Sin-Nodality Is Underway. Let's Brace Ourselves And Pray

Here is some discussion about the "Synod on Synodality" that Pope Francis kicked off Sunday October10.  In the first video, we see Taylor Marshall conferring with Matt Gaspars of Catholic Family News.  Right away you'll notice the late Cardinal Martini's pivotal role in this Vatican II mess, and his influence on the mindset of the current pontiff.  Both are Jesuits, by the way.  I have no doubt that they want to pick up things as shown in the video on the previous post and continue with the deconstruction of Holy Mother Church.

They make mention of the video below.

Bishops are supposed to be in preparation to implement this mess in their dioceses.  I will post as I am able on this.

Taylor Marshall's Address For the Catholic Identity Conference

The Catholic Identity Conference happened this weekend.  I have here a recorded address from Taylor Marshall to the conference.  I will post more as I am able to do so.

Taylor Marshall On Pope Francis' Eastern Europe Trip

Taylor Marshall, in the podcast below, examines various aspects of yet another abysmal plane interview given by Pope Francis on his return from eastern Europe.  As an aside, I'll highlight some new terms: "cootie-jab".  Marshall coined this and it just might bypass the obnoxious and ubiquitous "fact-checkers" of Facebook.  The second one is from someone commenting on the video on the you tube page.  He asked, "since Pope Francis supports the jab, can he be called Poke Francis"?  Hmmm...

Cardinal Burke And Archbishop Vigano Give Much-Needed Insights On Traditionis Custodes

With these two reactions, I seek not only to give the reactions to highly-respected orthodox clerics in the Church, but to highlight also their understandings of just how insidious this motu proprio really is.   They both bring to bear their expertise on theology and canon law.  First, I link to a treatise written by Cardinal Burke.

Note that in his first point, Cardinal Burke asks why the document wasn't written first in Latin.  He then points out how an Italian word could be mistranslated into English.  Whether or not he intended it, His Eminence illustrated Latin's value as a dead language.

Throughout his analysis, His Eminence comments on the alleged evils described in the motu, stating that in all his years of dealing with attendees of traditional Latin Masses, that he never saw the ills that the pope stated were such a threat.  I'll leave the rest for your reading.

Taylor Marshall then deals with the statement that Archbishop Vigano made regarding the pope's obvious antipathy for the Latin Mass.  The archbishop recommended to our reading an article by Massimo Viglione, entitled "The Hatred For The Mass Of All Time And The Question Of Obedience".  The archbishop wrote the forward to that article.  To be honest, I haven't yet had time to digest the article myself, but I trust the archbishop enough to believe that when he recommends it to our reading, then we should take him at his word.  I also post Marshalls' commentary below.

Pray And Have Hope, But Don't Put A Happy Face On A Dire Situation

In this video, Taylor Marshall gives his analysis of the MPFH, that is, Moto Propitio From Hell, also known as Traditionis Custodes.

Towards the end of the video, Marshall opines that the end game of the modernists is to move faithful Catholics into some "coral".  He speaks as if that is an inherently bad thing.  I'm not so certain of that.  Recall that Pope Benedict XVI predicted that the true Church would have to get smaller.  So is this "coral" necessarily bad?  If we are isolated, perhaps we are in the sense that the ancient Roman Christians were isolated in the crucible of the catacombs.  They loved and supported each other, and most importantly, gave true worship to God and spread the Gospel and the Church.

I do have another issue with this video, and perhaps it's more of a matter of emphasis.  Several times Marshall exhorts us to be "joyful", but he seems to be speaking in terms of not giving the progressives ammnition to us against us.  Well, what does he mean by "being joyful"?  I ask because the world has a definition of "joy" that is quite at variance with that listed as a fruit of the Spirit in Galatians.  If he means that this "joy" should somehow mollify the progressives, isn't that in fact asking Catholics to conform their behavior to worldly standards of "joy"?

I'm not so certain that "joy" is a proper response.  Consider that the (reputed) Vicar of Christ just abrogated the supreme means of offering God fitting worship.  This isn't about us primarily, but about an insult to God Almighty by the Vicar of Christ in the name of the Roman Catholic Church.  Do we understand how catastrophic this is?  If this goes unopposed, serious spiritual ramifications will follow.  Yes, God is in ultimate control and yes, there will be the ultimate triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart, but in the meantime souls will be lost forever owing to the derelictions  by the Church that seem to be mounting almost on a daily basis.  Pray, fast, do penance.  Build up your local TLM parishes and Masses.  If necessary, go to TLMs outside your dioceses - and take your donations with you.  This is a time for serious prayer and action, not trying to give or take comforts every time a hardship is presented to us.  There will be literal hell to pay in the meantime.  We need stiff spines, hard noses, thick skins.

I believe Michael Matt's take on the gravity of the situation is much more realistic.  Yes, hope, but acknowledge the reality of the struggle.

Saul Alinsky, Vatican II, And Cancel Culture

I will be posting a number of videos that may seem somewhat disjointed, but they are really examinations on what has been happening in the Church lately.  The mess started decades ago, quite some time before the obviously turbulent 1960s.

In the first video, Taylor Marshall exposes the friendship that existed between Saul Alinsky and Cardinal Montini in the late 1950s.  Cardinal Montini, a few years after their conversations, became Pope Paul VI.  Doesn't that put Vatican II in a different light?

So it seems that these troubling occurrences of highly-placed prelates hobnobbing and even taking cues from progressive anti-God subversives is nothing new.  It goes back over sixty years and involves the sitting pope at the time.  Could this be one reason why Pope Francis desired to canonize Paul VI?  At Vatican II, the New World Order's war on Christianity was significantly advanced, and continues to this day, with greater momentum.

In this video, Michael Matt talks of the "encouraging" letter that Pope Francis wrote to heretic Fr James Martin, carrying on the dubious tradtion established with the Montini-Alinsky gabfests.

So Father Martin, owing to his dissidence, is one priest who was not canceled at the behest of the New World Order demagogues.  But plenty were.  Several days ago, Steve Bannon interviewed Liz Yore on his War Room podcast, discussing the various "cancellations".  She pointed out two things.  First, the progressives are coming out of hiding and are doing their mischief quite blatantly.  Second, more and  more good people are waking up and are starting to stand up to the nonsense.  My prayer is that this is not "too little, too late".  Here's that video.

Let's be praying our Rosaries.

Pope Francis Mocks His Duty To Guard The Deposit Of Faith

First, lest truth-deniers charge me with taking remarks out of context, here is the homily in which the heretical statement occurred; note that this is the Vatican's own site.  For centuries, it has always been understood that one of the chief responsibilities of the Pontiff is to guard the Deposit of Faith - that is, the dogmas and doctrines that are the revealed will of Christ.  I regret that the pope, in using the words "guardians of doctrine and dogma", that he knew that he was undermining the mandate laid upon him.  As Marshall points out later in the video, he may well not believe that there really is immutable dogma.

We got more than a hint of that in my previous post, where he yammers about "culture of encounter".  Well, encounter with what?  We never get a clear answer on that, but we do know it has to do with some idea of "utopia" that is rooted in various evil paradigms.

We need to double down on our Rosaries and pray for a pope who will be a true shepherd of Catholic souls.  I truly hope this pope finds that grace of conversion.  If not, I pray for a speedy replacement, as too many souls are at stake.

False, Murderous Church Manifesting Itself

Some think that Padre Pio had some knowledge of the third secret of Fatima.  In the video below, Taylor Marshall discusses that, along with the prophesy of a false church being set up in the Vatican, with tentacles in many of the world's dioceses.  The pandemic (such as it is) has at least brought the false church out into the open.  When bishops - not civil government - spiritually starve their flocks, what else do you call it?  This bishop is still stating that babies shouldn't be baptized; he's not the first.  Some have denied Confession to their flocks.  Oh, it's temporary, you say?  During this "temporary" period, souls could be damned to hell for want of the sacraments, and these bishops will be held to account.

Corrupt Clergy Endeavor To Keep Young People From Holy Mass

Apparently taking inspiration from Father Reese, Cardinal Cupich followed his example, and more.  He not merely lamented young people going to Mass, he forbade Catholic students at the University of Chicago from attending Mass - all to keep safe from covid cooties, of course!  Mind you, the administration of the University of Chicago didn't issue this prohibition; it was purely the machination of Cardinal Cupich.  Cupich didn't just forbid them from going to Mass on campus, but also at nearby churches.

The article to which I linked speaks eloquently of the spiritual starvation that Cupich is wreaking on the Catholic students.  Indeed Cupich is spiritually abusing his young flock.  The author is speaking from her own experience as she herself is a student of the University of Chicago and is currently feeling the effects of Cupich's callous disregard of his episcopal duties.  He has quite a list of his transgressions over his sorry excuse of priestly life, some of which overlap my own list.

I will now link to a response to Father Reese's snit-fit, but won't comment about it.  Enjoy!  What I will also suggest is that you listen to the video, featuring an exchange between Taylor Marshall and Father Chad Ripperger about the merits of the Mass, particularly the Traditional Latin Mass.  In the interview, Fr. Ripperger mentioned an article called "Merit of the Mass", to which I just linked.
