Two years ago Cardinal Dolan expelled Father Justin Wylie from the Archdiocese of New York when the latter was on the verge of exposing corruption on the part of Msgr Chullikatt at the Holy See's Permanent Observer Mission. You'll see in that same link how Dolan had Michael Voris physically ejected from the press box at the St Patrick's Day parade when the latter questioned him about his support for the presence of gays in the parade.
Now it has come to light that Archbishop Wenski of the Archdiocese of Miami is retaliating against a group of lay Catholics for exposing the filth being perpetrated by their pastor, Father Pedro Corces at St. Rose of Lima parish in Miami Shores. With the aid of a private investigator, the parishioners, organized under the name "Christifideles" caught Corces spending nights at the apartment of his gay boyfriend and the two eating at rather lavish restaurants. To add insult to injury, the boyfriend is a maintenance worker at the parish. This man has a police record involving prostitution yet he has regular access to children at the parish school.
Speaking of the parish school, it has also come to light that the order of sisters that has taught at the school for 35 years is suddenly being expelled. It seems that Corces wants a lay principal. He alleges that this is being done for financial reasons. Really? Religious sisters generally take vows of poverty; all the parish would be doing is providing room and board for them. So now they want to pay the more expensive salaries of lay teachers? That's more of a cash drain. Parents are up in arms, angry that they were not consulted on the matter. A group of them held protests, urging cessation of donations. I say "good for them". Perhaps Corces, if he's really the least bit concerned for finances, can quit taking his boyfriend to ritzy restaurants.
Archbishop Wenski has now sunk to a new low. Instead of taking seriously the concerns of parents and other parishioners, has emailed parishioners a letter accusing them of "detraction and calumny". Well, no, Your Excellency. If anything, the two sins of which you accuse them entail the spreading of falsehoods. With hard evidence collected to corroborate their complaints, the truth of their complaints cannot be denied. My colleague Susan Matthiesen, who now writes for Les Femmes, reports that when she penned Orlando Truth, that Wenski told her she was on the verge of excommunication. That shows us all the lengths to which Wenski is prepared to go, even to the point of abusing his stature. Most people understand that excommunication cannot be done willy-nilly; there must be substantiated cause. He had none but was willing to employ that threat against my colleague.
At first glance, the situations regarding the expulsion of the sisters and Corces' sodomy may appear to be unrelated. Maybe, and maybe not. Recall that Corces' accomplice in sodomy has regular access to the school children. Is it at all possible that the good sisters caught him behaving inappropriately with the children and had the temerity to voice their own concerns? If Wenski can lash out against parents for raising their voices, it would be even easier for him to retaliate against the sisters, who most likely have been ordered to silence under their vows of obedience. I think that to be a plausible hypothesis: more so than this crock about "finances".
Father Corces and Archbishop Wenski cannot be allowed to get away with it. Let's join our fellow faithful Catholics of Christifideles and raise our protest to the Archdiocesan offices.

Catholics Of Archdiocese Of Baltimore - Is This Scenario Playing Out In Your Parishes?
I have written about Cardinal Dolan and his chicaneries within the Archdiocese of New York many times. Church Militant has been at the forefront of exposing the slime and corruption within that archdiocese. In particular, they helped shed the light on the sex-and-embezzlement case regarding Father Peter Miqueli. This case, combined with the stonewalling by Dolan et al that parishioners received as they attempted to seek redress in accordance with canon law protocols, has caused these parishioners to resort to legal action. I hope they prevail in court.
But it seems that the Miqueli situation is simply one tip of the iceberg. Again, Church Militant has attempted to get clarification from the New York chancery. Of course the chancery has engaged in their usual stonewalling. Meanwhile an employee of the Archdiocese of New York agreed to an interview with Voris under cover of anonymity. I present the video below. Because the voice distortion may make some of "Bob's" remarks difficult to understand, I now link to the transcript.
As you listen to "Bob", you'll hear him remark that the New York scenario is most likely being repeated all over the country, if not the world. With that, I ask you to review the findings regarding the de facto gay occupation that exists within the parish of St. Matthew's in Baltimore (Loch Raven Boulevard). I have reason to suspect that indeed a very similar, if not identical situation exists within the Archdiocese of Baltimore, as evinced within the Archdiocese of New York. I know for a fact that the revelations of the debauchery in St. Matthew's have ruffled many feathers, causing certain individuals to lash out. At this time I am not at liberty to divulge details.
Faithful Catholics of the Archdiocese of Baltimore (and elsewhere), please keep your eyes and ears open. There is a saying that many of us see displayed over interstates from time to time: "If you see something, say something." Please do so. If you get no satisfaction from official church channels, please start organizing among yourselves and take some actions, such as organized collection boycotts. You are not helpless, especially if you stick together. Archbishop Fulton Sheen once said that it will be up to the laity to save the Church. That time is most likely now.

Missionary Mish-Mash
I speak of these "missionaries of mercy". Last April, Pope Francis said that these priests were going to be mobilized to facilitate the jubilee of mercy somehow. Actually there is no sin that your ordinary parish priest cannot absolve. I believe at one time abortion was reserved for the bishop, but most bishops have given their priests faculties to absolve that.
Hilary White is a Catholic writer/blogger. You'll often see her writings at LifeSiteNews and I have linked to her on occasion. A few days ago she put out an excellent analysis of the real conundrum that will be caused by these missionaries. I needn't rehash her points here; I urge you to read her, along with my April piece, to see why we and others think that this stunt with the missionaries will actually serve to undermine the importance of Confession and real repentance in the eyes of Catholics. In her piece, she posted a video that is an excerpt of one produced by Chris Ferrara and Michael Matt. I'm posting the entire thing below for what they say is of vital importance. Before the video I will voice some concerns about one of these "missionaries of mercy".
About thirteen years ago, Steve Brady of Roman Catholic Faithful issued a call to several Catholic bishops to block the priestly ordination of one Patrick Baikauskas to the priesthood and to have him expelled from the Order of Preachers (Dominicans). He was divorced from his wife and was a gay activist, who lived with his accomplice in mortal sodomite sin until the latter died of AIDS. Brady's plea fell on deaf ears. Baikauskas was ordained and eventually became pastor of St Thomas Aquinas Church in West Lafayette IN. During his time there, the parish participated in a local "gay pride" event, showing that Baikauskas was still quite the gay-rights advocate. Judie Brown of American Life League took the Archdiocese of Lafayette to task for this,
Yes, this gay-activist priest is a "missionary of mercy". One wonders what business he has being a priest, let alone someone invested with special faculties. God help the poor soul afflicted with same-sex attraction who seeks him out for guidance in living chastely according to the Church's teachings. This begs the question "how are these priests vetted"? Why was he selected despite his own obvious struggles with intrinsically disordered inclinations? Or..was he selected because of them?? What abut the other "missionaries"? I'm not suggesting that they're all to be avoided, but we see obvious causes for concern here.

Is The Archdiocese Of New York Being Blackmailed?
If so, that would explain why Cardinal Dolan did his best to stonewall the parishioners who felt they had to recourse save for legal action. I fail to see how that would explain Dolan's other "tips of his hat" to the gay agenda. Michael Voris is currently investigating this whole sordid affair. See today's Vortex:

New York Pervert Priest Resigns In Wake Of Parishioners' Lawsuit
ChurchMilitant.com has announced a new development in the currently-unfolding scandal. The priest who allegedly funneled millions in parish donations to support his accomplice in sodomy has resigned. The article is here. The article links to the lawsuit document as well as some rather graphic accounts of the priest's romps with his criminal accomplice. I would suggest reading through the lawsuit to acquire some appreciation of the insults endured by the parishioners.
It is apparent that Dolan knew about this debauchery for some time now. Because of the scrutiny under which he now finds himself, thanks largely to ChurchMilitant.com, Dolan is now in "damage control" mode. Part and parcel of that is the resignation of Father Miqueli. I've no doubt that had the spotlight never shone, that Miqueli would still be in his position. Do these two clerics hope that this will blow over so that Miqueli can be quietly assigned to another parish? That is how the pervert priests were handled twenty years ago before the secular press blew the lid off that scandal.
For this reason I hope and pray that the plaintiffs in this suit will see it through to the end and not settle for some quiet settlement. For too long corruption has been allowed to fester in the Archdiocese of New York. It must be brought into the open, under public scrutiny. Otherwise there is no hope for healing and reform.

Faithful NY Catholics Are Suing Cardinal Dolan
I've posted about Cardinal Dolan many times now, but this latest scandal puts all the others in a new light. Many of his outrages involve kowtowing to the gay agenda:
- Being a grand marshal in a gay-infested St Patrick's Day parade
- Applauding gay facilitators during a Church service
- Congratulating a sports figure for "coming out" during a televised interview
Now a group of faithful Catholics are suing Dolan and the Archdiocese of New York for allowing millions of Church dollars to be embezzled for the financing of a gay priest's acts of perversion. Voris suggests, and it's highly likely, that this priest was able to get away with his crimes for so long precisely because he has dirt on Dolan. Well, light scares the cockroaches so let's pray that the truth come out, no matter how ugly. Only then is there a ghost of a chance at righting some wrongs. Now the Vortex:

Gay Clergy = Moral Cesspool = Souls Going To Hell
Michael Voris comments on a party where gay priests brought their "boyfriends" (i.e., accomplices in the mortal sin of sodomy) to a Christmas party. What a way to blaspheme that Holy Day! They will have to account for much, and for them - unless they repent and make good Confessions - their outcome is looking mighty dubious. Pray for them and all those scandalized by them.

Maureen Dowd Gets It Right??
Well, stranger things have happened! To put it in context, she was arguing against the Church's opposition to gay "marriage", but she did make clear that the hierarchy's harboring of gay priests compromised their moral authority. On that last point, I must agree. So does the Vortex. Click here if you can't see embedded video.

John Jay Study - Another Failed Damage Control Effort
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops commissioned the John Jay College of Criminal Justice to study the clergy sex abuse problem. The study is released and published on the USCCB website.
It should surprise no one that this study does not acknowledge any correlation between gay clergy and this crisis - despite the fact that 90% of the victims were post pubescent males. They ignore the proverbial elephant in the living room, in deference to political correctness; they've learned nothing over the years, and I'll elaborate on that later. Just bear in mind that the USCCB funded this study.
This glaring omission was not overlooked by too many people. Bill Donohue, president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, wrote a commentary that appeared in the National Catholic Register. In it he skewers the lack of logic behind the JJ's - and the USCCB's - denial of the responsibility of gay clergy. He does so by pointing out how the study contradicts itself. Please read it.
Now I direct your attention to an article penned by Brian Clowse of Human Life International last year. Why is that relevant? It is VERY relevant because a friend of mine just posted this article to the USCCB's facebook page: and subsequently found himself banned from that page! That is NOT a coincidence!
Earlier I promised elaboration on my "elephant in the living room" point. Here it is. Several years ago, shortly after the sex scandals became public news, the Archdiocese of Washington announced a series of "dialog sessions" to discuss the crisis and what the diocese was doing about it. They announced that their first meeting would be held at St Raphael's in Rockville. So I, and many others, attended. It was basically a panel discussion, with the panel being various folks chosen by the Archdiocese; I cannot remember the composition of that panel. At any rate, they too tried to downplay the correlation between homosexuality and the abuse crisis. During the question-and-answer session, they quickly learned that we would not let them get away with that, well, bovine excretement. We could see on the panel members' faces that they were expecting us to be docile and naive, and were almost afraid when we didn't live down to their hopes. Thus ended the first - and last - "dialog session".
I'll end this post with a Vortex perspective on the John Jay study. Click here if you can't see embedded video.

Renegade "Priest" Suing Lifesitenews
Lifesitenews.com, a trustworthy site from which I often glean news items, is being sued by a gay-activist, pro-abortion priest because they've repeated only what the priest himself has openly stated about himself. The priest's name is Raymond Gravel, and he's suing Lifesitenews for $500,000. If you can help Lifesitenews, please go here to do so. If you can't see embedded video, click here to see the Vortex piece on this.

From The "Gay Chutzpah" Department
I just read on Lifesitenews that "bishop (?)" Gene Robinson, the open gay who is commonly held to be clergy, is trying to tell Pope Benedict XVI how to fix the clergy sex abuse crisis in the Church. I kid you not! Naturally Robinson declares that there is no connection between homosexuality and this plague! Understand that? No connection whatsoever! Just because 90% of the cases involve the buggering of adolescent boys (as opposed to girls) doesn't mean there's one bit of homosexual impetus - that 90% is the merest of coincidences - right?
Meanwhile, traditional Anglicans, fed up with the departure from Scripture as typified by Robinson, have requested entrance into the Roman Catholic Church. I suppose that's part of the "coincidence", too?

Cleansing in Miami
Following up on the post below, I link to an excellent analysis of the resignation of Archbishop John Favalora from leadership of the Archdiocese of Miami. It seems that this man was presiding over a network of priests who were actively living as gays - sodomites. A number of good lay people and clergy worked long and hard, and suffered much to expose this sinful cartel. At long last their prayers were answered and their labors bore fruit.
This gives me much hope that indeed there is a paradigm shift towards reverence. If it can happen there, why not anywhere? In fact, I daresay that the remaining gay-sheltering bishops are asking themselves that question. I pray that they follow Favalora's footsteps, and that all these men use their retirement years to ponder their eternal destinies and pray and make reparation.
I'll also be so bold as to say that this is most likely that the New York Times automatons are gnashing their teeth at the Holy Father and all loyal to this Chief Shepherd.

Gays Behind the Media Attacks on the Pope?
Much of what Mr Voris says in this clip corroborates what I and others have been saying: that the mass/mainstream/liberal media types have all been rather resolute in glossing over the obvious gay nature of the sex abuse problem. What he does emphasize is the gay influence over that same media. That does go a long way in terms of explaining the mentality and motives behind the attacks on the Pope.
They STILL Persist in Denying the Gay Roots of the Clergy Sex Crisis
Having a bunch of letters and degrees attached to your name and the letters "Dr" in front of it do not necessarily mean the owner of the name has two firing neurons between his/her ears. It could also mean that they're pandering to the gays in high places. At any rate, this article gives us all an idea of why the gay priests were able to prey on young men for so long.
In this article, we read that Margaret Smith, a John Jay College criminologist, says that Bill Donohue "drew an unwarranted conclusion" in asserting that most of the abusers were gay." Of course she must be right! Simply because 81% of the incidents involved the rapes of young men doesn't imply any homosexual impetus at all! Right? Right???
I seem to recall an old saying: "If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and sounds like a duck, in all likelihood, it is a duck!" This saying arose from a mental ability once known as "common sense". In academe, that ability is not so common anymore.
