Hopefully The Beginning Of The End For Catholic Relief Services

Yesterday Raymond Arroyo of The World Over interviewed Michael Hichborn of Lepanto Institute.  They discussed the paring back of federal funds that CRS had been receiving from the Federal government (ultimately, from us taxpayers).  CRS has now been laying off people and cutting back operations.  The CRS has largely been another front to send Catholic dollars to cartels involved in everything that is anti-life and anti-God.  They need to be divested of our money immediately.  Enjoy this video.

Catholic Charities Gets Well-Deserved Comeuppance

President Trump announced that he was going to enforce our immigration laws and not allow the border-crashing criminals to get away with their crimes. Imagine that!  The president of the United States actually fulfilling his constitutionally-appointed duties.  However, progressive organizations carrying the name "Catholic" in their names understand that their incomes will dry up in the process.  To be specific, they will be expelled from the Federal teats (that is, our tax dollars) since "immigration processing" is a major reason for them receiving Federal grants.

Faithful Catholics have documented many times how Catholic Charities branches, particularly those located near the southern border, receive billions of federal dollars (that originate as withholdings from our paychecks).  That link details other evils committed by Catholic Charities over the years: needle exchange programs, driving young girls to abortion appointments, trafficking of children.

Well, Catholic Charities got wind of the newly-invigorated enforcement, as ICE and other agencies started snatching up illegals for deportation.  They released the video below, showing that they are entirely complicit in the de facto breaking and entering that these guys (and yes, it's mostly young males) have been doing, all on the federal (i.e., your) dime.  Observe.  A little translation: this woman says "undocumented"; that means "here illegally".  I doubt that she would call a burglar breaking into her home "an undocumented house guest".

So here you have it - a Catholic organization telling criminals how to evade the law.  President Trump was having none of that.  He made clear that any such organization who aided and abetted criminals could not reasonably expect the government to fund them.  Catholic Charities was literally slapping the hand that fed them and they expected that hand to keep on doling out the cash.  Had that hand been Biden's, that might have happened.. Wait!  Scratch that!  Biden would never have started to enforce the border at all!

Right on cue, the Maryland Catholic Conference ordered the parishes to email all their parishioners some very disingenuous blather regarding immigration.  The text is on their site.  You will notice immediately that there is no distinction between legal immigration and illegal immigration.  The lack of distinction is so egregious that we can call it deliberate deception - a lie.

President Trump, to his immense credit, announced the defunding of not only Catholic Charities, but any NGO that facilitated the breaking of immigration law.  Karoline Leavitt, White House Press Secretary, mentioned Catholic Charities by name when queried by a reporter about the matter.  This screen shot from a Facebook page lists some others.

It says that Catholic Charities will soon be bankrupt.  Perhaps the creator of that meme was simply being facetious, but we all know that a significant part of Catholic Charities' budget does come from federal grants.  In-pew collections?  Well, they haven't received a penny from me in several decades, and I cannot imagine one informed and decent purpose funding their mischief.  If Catholic Charities does go bankrupt, all I will say is "good riddance".

President Trump Pardons Pro-Life Activists

The headline of my previous post also now applies to over twenty pro-life activists whom the Biden administration strong-armed into jail via kangaroo courts for peaceful civil disobedience.  Among that number are the activists known as the Garland Nine.  The Thomas More Society, who have been representing these activists throughout their ordeals, announced the pardons earlier today.  Below is video of Trump signing the order.  Trump noted that these activists were peaceful and quite a few are elderly.  More commentary below the video.

Elections have consequences.  It really does matter who wins, even if none of the candidates is as pure as the driven snow.  In addition to this pardon, Trump has ordered federal offices to recognize only two genders, stopped DEI nonsense in federally-funded establishments, removed the United States from WHO and the Paris Climate Agreement.  He has started to seal the southern border and renewed efforts are underway to remove illegal aliens.  These are at the top of my head, so I'm sure there are more.

There is still much to be done - not only by Trump, but by each and everyone of us.  It starts with the daily Rosary and continues through being alert and active.

Public Transportation Now Mask-Free, Proving That Elections Matter

One of the last areas in which the progressives had a stranglehold on the country in relation to the dehumanizing masks has been public transportation - airlines, buses, trains, etc.  A few days ago, a federal judge in Florida named Kathryn Mizelle ruled that the CDC had overstepped its bounds and had not followed proper procedures in imposing mask mandates.  In a word, they have been struck down.  

Read a brief biographical sketch of her here.  Please note that she is one of many judges appointed by President Trump.  Yes, elections have consequences.  We as Christians are duty-bound to participate in these elections, even if neither candidate is squeaky-clean.  That latter scenario often happens simply because the candidates are drawn from that pool known as human beings; none save Our Lady has been free of sin.

For some, the announcement of the strike-down of the mask mandate came while they were in flight.  Celebrations happened immediately, as you see below.

Important Information Regarding The Election

Cheryl Sullenger of Operation Rescue published a piece on what the current election debacle means for pro-life activism and the babies.  I will add that this will greatly determine whether or not the progressives implement their diabolical plans for their atheistic one-world government.  Towards the end she gives excellent suggestions as to what we can do to assist in the effort to clean up our electoral process.

Please read it carefully, and watch the video embedded in that article.  In that video, President Trump outlines many manifestations of fraud that occurred during the election time.  We all need to have eyes and ears open as we pray our Rosaries.

More Developments In The Examination Of the Election Debacle

We can rejoice that President Trump is not backing down in this fight for the elections.  At stake is not only his next four years, but the integrity of future US elections.  If the progressives get away with this election theft and are successful in their evil quest, we will never have another truly free and honest election in this country ever again.  They will tighten the noose about our necks with both wrath and impunity.  Our God-given rights to live and speak openly as Christians will go up in flames, as will countless souls experience eternal flames in the next life.

There definitely are signs of hope.  The evil is being exposed.  In Maricopa County AZ, a GOP poll watcher testified that she saw machines switch Trump votes to Biden votes.  The state GOP chair was allowed by a judge to examine 100 ballots.  After she discovered that 2 of them were switched from Trump to Biden, the judge is allowing a larger number to be examined.  Bear in mind that Biden allegedly beat Trump in AZ by only 10,000 votes.

A group of PA House Republicans are calling for the withdrawal of vote certification and their naming of Presidential electors.  They are simply asserting the authority granted to them in their state's constitution to guard against electoral corruption.

Below I will post video of a GA Senate hearing, where a Trump lawyer shows video from Georgia's State Farm Arena showing that poll watchers were evicted and then suitcases full of "ballots" were brought from hiding, with the ballots being feed into the tallying machines.  If that isn't cheating, what is it?  In response, Governor Kemp is calling for a signature audit of all ballots.

Please keep praying your Rosaries, not only that the actual victor be made known, but that the integrity of our electoral system be preserved and the filth purged and perpetrators punished.

BREAKING! Ruth Bader Ginsburg Has Died

 The pro-abortion Associate Justice of the Supreme Court died earlier today.  Of course the internet is all atwitter about the news.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is why ELECTIONS MATTER.  This is why each and everyone of us must vote to at least prevent harm done by a terrible candidate.  What do you think would be happening right now if Hillary Clinton was in the White House?  What do you think will happen if (God forbid) Joe Biden wins the White House?

Two things we need to do now:

1. Pray for God's mercy on her immortal soul, that somehow she made an act of perfect contrition before she died.  In formally and materially cooperating in the mortal sins of baby-murder and sexual perversions by her votes, she herself is objectively guilty of serious sins.
2. Pray that a worthy replacement for her may soon be nominated and confirmed very soon.

Some Interesting Interviews

A few days ago, Raymond Arroyo interviewed President Trump on the White House porch, touching on a number of topics.  Salient points are discussed.  One objection that I have to his to-date lack of intervention in the rioting and mayhem is that he did say he would invoke the Insurrection Act.  Why has he not done so?  I for one hold bluffing to be unacceptable; one must be true to their word at all costs.



Also interviewed was Patresse Cullers, one of the founders of Black Lives Matter.  The embedded video catches her in clearly stating that she and her comrades are marxist-trained.

So now we have solid basis to hold that the CHAZ-CHOP-whatever takeover of Seattle is a Marxist insurrection, done with the permission, if not cooperation, of the leftwing government of both Seattle and the State of Washington.  There is violence in that compound.  Now that one victim has died because the BLM and Antifa brats wouldn't let ambulances get to him, the mayor is talking of ending their little orgy.  We'll see if she follows through or if she was simply trying to put on a tough face.

Caught In A Lie?

On Tuesday, Archbishop Gregory stated that he found it "baffling and reprehensible" that President Trump was keeping his commitment to visit the JP II shrine.  He was shocked - just shocked! - you see?

Well, now comes the revelation that several days prior to the visit, the White House invited the Archbishop to join the president at the shrine.  Gregory declined, stating that he had prior commitments.  The CNA link quotes other sources as stating that Gregory didn't learn of the visit until the prior evening.

So how is it that Gregory declined an invitation to an event, but then claimed to be baffled that the event occurred?  Inquiring minds would like to know!

Absp Gregory To Force Priests To Protest Trump Tomorrow

When I posted my previous piece about the "prayer service", I did not have complete information.  Church Militant has inside sources that DC Archbishop Gregory is ordering his priests to join in a protest of our president under the guise of a "prayer service"..  CM has obtained copies of the communications, both to the priests and to the local Knights of Columbus.  This is beyond reprehensible.

Can anyone go for a counter-protest tomorrow?  It starts at 11:00 am at Lafayette Park.  I frankly hope that many priests won't show.  What Gregory is doing to them is a crime.

In case you haven't seen this on other sources, see this LifeSiteNews piece containing an open letter to President Trump from Archbishop Vigano.  I hope that Archbishop Vigano is right in supposing that good people are in the majority in this country.  In any event, they have got to wake up and slough off their apathy to events beyond their narrow worlds.

An Open Letter To Archbishop Gregory

Archbishop Gregory, since you claim to be about eliminating racism and attacks on minorities, I am sure you would like to say some words on these deaths.  There are the murders of Patrick Underwood and of David Dorn.  Both of these victims were black gentlemen killed in the course of the riots.  Oh, wait!  They were both police officers murdered by the BLM hooligans, so perhaps that doesn't quite fit your narrative!

In Las Vegas, a 29-yr-old Greek American police officer was shot in the head.  He is on life support at the moment.  Does he register a blip on your radar screen, Your Excellency?   Probably not because he's a white cop.  I suspect you'd also hold in disdain the 50 Secret Service officers who were injured this past weekend as "peaceful" thugs marauded near the White House, not too far from your own residence.  Mind you, I'd be delighted to be proven wrong; you can do that if you'd like.

George Floyd wasn't the only black man abused by rogue cops.  In Jackson MS a few weeks ago, a police officer pinned a young black man to a car with hands around his throat.  Bystanders implored the cop to let him go as he was having trouble breathing.  Except for local media, this has not received any attention as did the Floyd situation.  Do you care about that, Your Excellency?  But there's teensy little difference, isn't there?  In Jackson, the brute police officer is black.  It appears, Your Excellency, that you and too many of your brother bishops are only concerned about violence if it's white-on-black.  If the violence is black-on-white or black-on-black, I think you couldn't care less.

This blog joins many other voices in condemning your criticism of the President as he was in the process of protecting our religious freedoms during a time of great mayhem.  Fox News has made note of that (even if other mainstream media turn a blind eye).  The blogger One Mad Mom finds it "reprehensible" that you are our bishop (to use your own language).  Archbishop Vigano opines that your reckless posturing and criticism of the President shows you to be a "false shepherd".  To be frank, you are behaving like one.

I will end my letter, Your Excellency, with an article that suggests what might have been more appropriate to come from you, given both the President's role and your own as Archbishop of the Nations's Capital: a condemnation of the riots, a call to repentance and return to the One True Church, preaching against sins against the Sixth Commandment and abortion.

To my other readers: embedded in that last link is a petition to ask Archbishop Gregory to apologize to President Trump and the Knights of Columbus. Please sign it and spread it around.  Uphold these men in prayer.  But until our bishops start acting like men of God, withhold all financial contributions.

Archbishop Gregory's Disgraceful Hissy-Snit-Fit Today

Yesterday President Trump went to historic St John's church in DC, just a short walk from the White House.  He went a day after rioters tried to set it ablaze.  All sorts of religious (?) leaders were appalled - not at the wanton attempt to destroy a church with historical significance, but that President Trump actually visited the church.  In fact, "bishop" Mariann Budde was shocked - shocked! - that police used tear gas and rubber bullets to clear away the peaceful little arsonists from the church.  She sniffed that Trump didn't give her the "courtesy" of advance notice.  Did she utter the same complaint at those who set fire to the church?

An open note to Ms Budde - Honey, all pretenses aside, you ain't no bishop!  Perhaps it doesn't occur to you that all that nasty tear gas is why St John's is still standing?  But if you really are concerned about the poor little thugs, why not invite them to wreak havoc at the National Cathedral?  I'd bet they would have a blast - in more ways than one!

But onto today's scandalous behavior by Archbishop Wilton Gregory.  A visit by President Trump to the Saint John Paul II National Shrine today had been schedule a while ago as a prelude to his signing of an executive order regarding religious freedom.  The president adhered to that schedule, giving Gregory a lame excuse to launch into a display of faux-indignation.  In it he decries the dispersal of the thugs from St John, implying that the late John Paul II would condone the destruction wreaked by the rioters.  Nowhere in Gregory's tirade did I detect one word of rebuke for the thugs who brought about much destruction and yes, murder, in these past few days.  In fact, we hear little from the bishops in terms of denouncing these events - aside from their politically correct pabulum about racism.  George Neumayr has a piece on this matter that deserves reading.

By the way - if there is any silver lining to the cloud of the rioting it is that they have made plain to all the world that the covid-19 shutdown and "social distancing" was just a cheap sham.  Did you see or hear any governmental nannies reproach those mobs for "failing to social-distance"?  Neither did I.

Catholic Standard Watch - Progressive Catholics Diss Trump's Appearance At March For Life

Here is the article in question.  Please note that it is a Catholic News Service piece; thus it is most likely published at the unction of the USCCB.  First, we see quoted one John Gehring, Catholic program director of Faith in Public Life.  One would never know from this puff piece that FPL is funded by George Soros.  John Gehring is not fit to be quoted in any Catholic publication.  His complaints about the President are no doubt guided by his own progressive leanings (not to mention Soros and the USCCB).

Next to whine is Father Dauses, pastor of St Andrew by the Bay in Annapolis.  He is quoted as saying he was "really, really conflicted attending" the March.  Were the babies a high priority for him?  That is a fair question, in light of the "social justice" page from his parish's website.  This group, in working with other nearby "faith communities", identified "6 priorities".  Notice what is not a priority.

These two progressives are simply using the president's presence as a feeble excuse for their own disregard of unborn children.  At least the article quoted Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life, who made plain that the murder of thousands of babies daily trumps all other issues in scope and importance.  As long as our clergy remain on the dole from progressive sugar daddies, they will be morally compromised and will likely have difficulty at their particular judgments.

When One Promotes Abortion, They Become Childish And Uncivilized

Proof?  It was on national TV tonight, just at the end of President Trump's State of the Union address.  First, she failed to introduce him as protocol requires of the House Speaker.  She pouted through the entire address  Then, on national TV, she did this to her copy of his speech.

President Trump Speaks At March For Life Today

Today was a historical day.  President Trump became the first President to address the March for Life in person, during its entire 47-year history.  Funny thing - I checked the facebook pages of some #nevertrump wags.  Except for one cynical blurb, they had absolutely nothing to say about that; I'm not at all surprised.  I for one am thankful that he showed and spoke.  Here is the clip.

Archbishop Gregory Opens Mouth And Inserts Both Feet

Archbishop Gregory made one of his first public addresses a day or so ago.  He took the occasion to lob a pot-shot at President Trump for accurately stating that parts of Baltimore are filled with both trash and violent crimes.  He spun the president's remarks to insinuate that Trump aimed derogatory remarks at the Baltimore citizens themselves.  Quite frankly, both Gregory's and Lori's remarks are themselves dishonest and nonsensical.

Both Lori and Gregory are part of the liberal Church establishment.  They get lots of favors by doing the bidding of their Democrat task-masters.  They are coming to the defense of those task-masters because it's the Democrats that have been in charge of Baltimore for over 50 years.  Baltimore has not seen a Republican mayor since Theodore McKelden left that office in 1967.  Democrats have been at the helm since then - and two of those Demorats were the father and brother of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.  But that's just a coincidence, I'm sure (ahem)!  There are many questions as to how Baltimore handled Federal grants throughout the years; where did that money go??

By the way - Washington DC has gone down the tubes as well.  DC's mayors have all been Democrats for the past 45 years.  Lori and Gregory should take a walk on their respective cities' wild sides and see for themselves how their cities have fared under their Democrat buddies.  One left-wing reporter from Fox 45 Baltimore did that in a run-down Baltimore neighborhood.  As she sniffed that Trump should "take a look at things for himself", a rat photobombed her video.  Take a look.

If Lori and Gregory can't give honest appraisals of the situations of their dioceses, maybe they should stick to their God-given jobs - you know, like, making sure the Faith is taught properly in their parishes, cleaning perversion from their parishes (like St Matthew's, Abhp Lori!), disciplining pro-abortion Catholic pols in their Churches by obeying Canon 915, you get the picture!

Until these things happen, I'd suggest complete boycotts of any archdiocesan collections in both DC and Baltimore.

Another Supreme Court Improvement On The Horizon

This improvement is occasioned by the upcoming retirement of Anthony Kennedy.  Long known to be a "swing vote", his vote swung the wrong way to affirm Roe V Wade and to foist upon us gay #mowwidge.  If the nomination and seating of Neil Gorsuch is any indication, we might have some real improvement on that court very soon.

Ladies and gentlemen, this proves once again that ELECTIONS MATTER!  To my #nevertrump friends (if you still are in that camp), if you had your way, Kennedy's announcement would have been a harbinger of disaster.  Aren't you glad now that Hillary is not in the White House?

Be Innocent As Doves And Wise As Serpents

It is possible to take Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" and use at least some of them to our advantage.  I say "some" because that "some" are not intrinsically evil.  For instance, the rule called "make your opponents live by their own rules" cannot be considered evil.  It's high time we stop playing the "Clark Kent" nice guys and take on the agents of death head-on.  As Voris explains, Donald Trump has learned how to do that.  Some of us in the Catholic blogosphere have likewise learned.  All faithful Catholics must do the same.

Seamless Garbage Contributes To Episcopal Brain Rot

In last night's State of the Union address, President Trump announced a plan to usher 1.8 million illegal-immigrant "dreamers" towards citizenship and to keep their nuclear families intact.  Obviously taking their cues from the sourpusses on the Democrat side of the chamber, the USCCB announced that they were "deeply troubled" about the plan's "impact on family unity".  What?  Trump said he'd keep nuclear families intact.  He simply said "chain migration" would end, meaning that an immigrant could not pull over his third cousin twice removed.  This is not rocket science.

Bishop Vasquez of Austin Texas made these remarks.  In his embrace of "seamless garment" no-holds-barred illegal immigration, he also revealed his abysmal ignorance regarding the nature of the Church.  He claimed that "family immigration is part of the bedrock of our country and of our church".

Family immigration, or any immigration, is part of the bedrock of the One True Church?  Excuse me!  Can anyone cite the support for that from any dogma?  Any Church fathers?  Our Lord founded the Church to save souls.  That's it!  Anything else, be it hospitals, schools, charities, etc is ancillary to that one all-encompassing mission - to save souls from damnation and to lead them to heaven. 

Those embroiled in "seamless garbage" organizations discount the Church's sole mission.  That's why they count gays among their boards of directors.   That's why they divert from truly intrinsic evils such as abortion, contraception, homosexual conduct and focus attention on matters that at most, fall into the realm of prudential judgment.  Bishop Vasquez and most of the higher-ups in the USCCB do exactly that, as they pander to governmental and Soros-related sugar daddies.

Pray for these bishops, but please never put another red penny in any USCCB-related collection.
