House Votes To Scrap Obama Hell Bill, Defund Planned Parenthood

Today the House voted, by a 217-213 margin, to repeal the Obama Hell-Scare Bill and to strip Planned Parenthood of 86% of its federal funding.  The American Healthcare Act now goes to the Senate, where the struggle to pass it will be more rigorous.  I refer you to the link for more details on it.  The House had passed other repeal measures in prior years, but that was when the Messiah Most Miserable was befouling the White House; he would never have signed it and Congress simply did not have the votes to override a presidential veto.  Should this measure pass the Senate, it will move to the President's desk and be signed.

Elections have consequences.  Had Hillary been elected (and that would have been a consequence if the #nevertrump bunch prevailed), Obamacare would have remained the law and most likely its tentacles would have been strengthened.  I also remind us of elections because you might have noticed that the House margin was very thin.  That's because 20 Republicans "crossed the aisle" and opposed this repeal.  They need to be replaced (Chris Smith disappoints me).

In other related news today, President Trump signed an order today to provide some protections for those opposing gay marriage.  It also cripples the Johnson Amendment that had prevented non-profits from speaking on political matters (An aside - clergy no longer have any excuses for not speaking on moral matters).  Some argue that it doesn't go far enough.  Be that as it very well may, it still is a step in the right direction.  Many more steps need to be taken.  And of course, we must keep praying, especially with Rosaries in hand.

Defund Planned Parenthood Rally - Feb 11 2017

Yesterday across the country, pro-life activists held rallies at hundreds of Planned Parenthood baby-murder centers to demand that the flow of our tax dollars to this blood-thirsty cabal cease.  At the Planned Parenthood in Silver Spring, MD, we held such a rally.

Ours went smoothly and peacefully.  Such was not the case at the Two Rivers Planned Parenthood in Northeast DC, just a few miles away.  Rabidly angry pro-aborts tried repeatedly to block the pro-lifers' march.  So much for the free speech of pro-life people, but when someone will go so far as to advocate the murder of tiny babies, it's no big deal for them to deny rights to others who oppose their murderous designs.  The Washington DC police did yeoman's work in protecting the pro-lifers who marched; we thank them for that.  Two of the DC marchers posted live feeds to their facebook walls; see here and here.

Here is our rally.

The Politics Of Defunding Planned Parenthood

Father Marcel Guarnizo, formerly of my parish before he was dismissed for upholding the Church's teachings on worthy reception of Holy Communion, wrote an article detailing his opinion of what the GOP in Congress should do in the wake of the Planned Parenthood videos.  To be specific, he is touching upon the matter of the funding of Planned Parenthood within the federal budget.  As I read the article, Father states that there is no moral impediment to passing a budget that includes Planned Parenthood funding, for 1) they don't have the votes in the Senate, 2) they don't have the votes to override Obama's veto and 3) they have tried before.  While I can see his point, I'm not sure I'd be ready to throw in the towel just yet.

I'd like to focus on two points made under the sub-heading "Material versus Formal Cooperation".  The first one may seem minor, but not from a Constitutional standpoint.  He seems to speak of the members of Congress "signing a federal budget".  No one in Congress signs anything; rather, it creates legislation to be enacted.  The signing of that legislation is left to the President to sign it into law or veto it.  Second, Father states that "a law exists in place forbidding federal dollars from being used for abortions".  While that's true, the concept of fungibility renders that fact irrelevant.

From my days as treasurer of a non-profit, I can speak of fungibility from first-hand experience.  Most np’s have a pool of funds used for general operating purposes (called gen-op for short) with no restrictions on how those monies can be spent.  A hypothetical np might have 5 areas in which they use these funds, and of course funds run rather thin in all areas.  Along comes a donor who will donate, but only to Area A and no other area.  Fine and dandy.  The donor-restricted funds are put into the budget for Area A, and gen-op funds originally slated for Area A can be used elsewhere.  That is fungibility and explains how our tax dollars WILL be used for abortion should the federal budget fund Planned Parenthood.

Let's also consider the fact that while there have been failed attempts to defund Planned Parenthood, a vote now would be the first vote taken in the wake of the revelations provided by the Center for Medical Progress.  My opinion is that the GOP leadership in both houses should force floor votes and be prepared to use legitimate procedural means to forestall Democratic attempts to stymie votes.  That does mean that the leadership would have to develop some backbones, for over these past few years they have shown themselves to be quite feckless (actually worse than that, and I'll deal with that topic later in the next paragraph).  In bringing the matter of PP funding to the floor for a vote, each and every Representative and Senator will go on record for his/her vote in the wake of the horrific scandal of Planned Parenthood's sale of the babies whom it routinely murders.  Let any votes for Planned Parenthood be used by pro-life candidates as prima facae evidence why those Congresspeople should not win their next elections.  Should the bill reach the White House for Obama's veto, let that be a campaign issue as well.

As I read Father's article, it seems he wrote this before Boehner announced his resignation as Speaker of the House.  Over the past few years, his wielding of the gavel has been an abysmal disappointment and I daresay betrayal for while he played the groveling coward before the Democrats in Congress, he was actually quite ruthless towards the tea-party members of his own party.  To add insult to injury, it is reported that Boehner will use his final days as speaker to collude with Pelosi in ramming into the budget everything desired by the Obama cartel: Planned Parenthood funding, Iran deal, etc.

I'm also not entirely certain that conservatives in Congress are all that powerless.  If that were so, Boehner would have felt no impetus to resign.  But now comes the news that GOP officials in high places are suggesting that Senate Leader Mitch McConnell also resign.  This comes from Roger Villere, chairman of the Louisiana GOP.  He sees that many conservatives are no longer content with the measly little crumbs that the RINOs throw at us and that we don't intend to have our concerns and values treated like so many pawns in a chess game.

If we can do this sort of cage-rattling within the echelons of RINO leadership, we can give the PP defunding another attempt.  Dan Bongino wrote his own piece explaining why he too believes that there is a moral imperative to put up more of a fight than the one we are currently offering at this time.  If a reasonable budget without the Planned Parenthood funding is put before Obama's desk and he vetoes it, the onus of obstructionism is on him.  And by the way, if the Dems should snark on the GOP for "shutting down the government", one might wonder what they'd think about this stunt from one of their own who is considered "presidential material".

Tenth Video Released That Incriminates Planned Parenthood In Sale Of Murdered Babies' Bodies

These Planned Parenthood officials who try to convince us that they are pure as the driven snow only deceive themselves - and I'm not sure how successful that is.

Death-Camp Neighbors At Spring Street - Today's Nazi Citizens

For the last 10+ years, several of us pro-life activists have been outside the Planned Parenthood in Silver Spring MD to pray for an end to the barbarity occurring in suite 450 of 1400 Spring Street in Silver Spring MD.  We also offer real help to women going into that hell hole, aware that many feel they have no alternative due to difficult personal circumstances.  See here for some accounts of our outreaches.

We are in Silver Spring MD, a notorious nest of progressives and pro-abortion individuals.  Many of them are in the neighborhood just across the street from us.  I have written before of some acrimonious interactions between them and us.  I draw your attention to this piece.  In it I made mention of the Nazi death camps and their surrounding neighborhoods.  When the Allies invaded Germany and liberated the death camps, they forced the citizens of the neighboring towns to tour the camps and witness the carnage that they allowed to happen.  Here is an account of such an exercise.

You'll notice that an excuse that the Germans gave was "we didn't know".  Whether or not that is true we'll never know.  What we do know is that there is now no such excuse, especially when we who seek to inform are discounted and even hated for the information we bring them.  Such has been the case for the Woodside neighborhood just to our north.  It was evidenced in this incident five years ago and again today.

In the wake of the CMP videos regarding Planned Parenthood's murder of babies and selling of their bodies, we have launched an effort to defund Planned Parenthood.  One of our number arrived late today and parked her car in the neighborhood.  She was legally parked and put her "Defund Planned Parenthood" inside her front windshield.

Some time later a man from the neighborhood approached two of our number (neither of them the owner of the car) and voiced his objections to the sign. What were his objections?  Well, it seems that he was hosting a birthday party for his child and thought it "inappropriate" for the children to see.

Let's ponder the inane silliness of what this guy was saying.  First, let's forget about objections to "those gory pictures" for none were present on her car.

  • Any kids I know who attend birthday parties would not notice such signage (no more so than other signs on other cars).  They'd be focused on ice cream, cake, gifts and games.
  • We know who would find the signs "inappropriate".  It would be those who support baby-murder, so we can consider as potential "offendees" the man and/or his adult guests.
  • If anything is "inappropriate for children", it's Planned Parenthood itself.  It is very "inappropriate" to murder tiny children and exploit their corpses for "research".
So the guy finally left.  An hour or so later, one of our number noticed that the windshield had been covered over so that the sign was blocked.  Boys and girls, can we say "vandalism"?  Consider the arrogance.  The guy had his grubby paws on my friend's car, arbitrarily and erroneously deciding that her First Amendment rights were not to be respected: most likely because what her sign said pricked his guilty pro-abortion conscience.

Fortunately - for the guy - it was not anything that could not be removed.  And it was removed by the driver's husband.  Afterwards I took some pictures and now post them below.

You can see that the car, with sign in front windshield, is legally parked.

This is the sign that the guy covered over.  His act of covering the sign is legally actionable.

It was parked in front of 8706 2nd Avenue, Silver Spring, MD.  The man who approached the two women said the car was parked "in front of his house", so this must be where he lives.

Pillamina! The Star Of The Obama Campaign!!

Uh, oh!   Obama's Minions Most Mindless are breaking out the BIG GUNS!  Romney and the GOP might as well throw in the towel right now  because they ain't got no chance now!  Why?  Here comes (drum roll and trumpets, please!)

PILLAMINA!

Woo-hoo!  Just watch how this new pro-abort icon exhibits all the crass class that is typical of Planned Parenthood.  Yes, it is they who are responsible for Pillamina and her antics - in other words, just another example of our tax dollars - hard(ly) at work.  Click here if you can't see embedded video.

No sane/rational person could make up that crap!!

Lifesite News informs us that Pillamina might follow Romney on the campaign trail.  Well I'm sure Romney must be shaking in his boots at the thought - from laughter, that is!  All he has to do is point out that woman in her get-up as one of the more harmless (if nitwit) examples of how Planned Parenthood funding is an utter waste of taxpayers' dollars.

A "Chumpion For Choice" Snagged By The Law's Long Arm!

A deathscort plying his trade outside of a Planned Parenthood in Ann Arbor, MI, repeatedly committed assault and battery against a sidewalk counselor while the latter was engaged in a conversation according to this report by Jill Stanek.  This attack was witnessed and charges were filed.  Thus Bernie Klein is to be arraigned in district court on January 20, 2012.

Go further down Stanek's piece and you'll see Mr Klein has quite a chequered past.  On the news clip his name is mentioned in conjunction with the "Final Exit Network", an assisted-suicide (i.e. murder) network.  Given his fascination with murder, Klein's 21 years of deathscorting makes sense.

Another Planned Parenthood Security Guard Flies Off The Handle

This past Wednesday in Columbus OH, some pro-lifers were protesting at a Planned Parenthood fundraiser.  The event was called "Condom Couture 2011", a rather interesting name, but I digress.

A rogue off-duty cop who was moonlighting as a security guard for Planned Parenthood aggressed on the demonstrators.  They called a police detective.  When he came and tried to explain constitutional rights to the guard, the guard then assaulted the detective.  Fortunately the pro-lifers had a camcorder and caught the debacle; a "youtube" of it is online and is embedded in the Lifenews report, with additional details.  If you cannot see embedded video, please click here.

This situation is quite similar to another situation that occurred at a building in which Planned Parenthood rents office space in Silver Spring MD.  There too was an agressive security guard that was there at the behest of Planned Parenthood.  As you watch the video below, you'll see the assault in the second half of the clip (click here if you cannot see embedded video).  The building management eventually forbade Planned Parenthood to retain guards outside their building.  Important note:  If pro-lifers did not have camcorders at the ready to capture the evidence of violence, there most likely would have been no corrective action taken in either case.

From The "Get Your Hankies" Department

Yes, according to some who tilt to the left when it comes to the slaughter of babies, it is time to shudder and to shed a tear (and maybe some donation dollars).

First, let's look at a New York Times piece that appeared last Sunday.  There's a reason that some call this paper the "New York Slimes", and I think we see it now. At least they're putting this particular piece in their editorial section.  They should do the same for many of their pieces, but I digress.  As you read it, you can just see the angst and the fear as they see that the dear little baby butchers are being hindered from their baby-killing. That's what is entailed in what they call "termination of pregnancy".  Notice the first paragraph opines that we refuse to "accept the law of the land" and that we attempt to change it.  Excuse me, but since when are pro-life people to be considered excluded from the political process which is, by definition, the changing of law?  More hypocrisy is evident as they belittle the "onerous safety regulations like hallway width".  (By the way - that's to accomodate ambulance stretchers, should they be needed).  Would they be so dismissive of these regulations for a podiatrist office, or that of an oral surgeon?  I thought they wanted abortion to be a "safe" procedure - oh wait!  My bad!  They're after the safety of the money stream.

Of course what they're trying to do is to gin up the usual pro-abortion activists to oppose the pro-life efforts.  We'd do well to make sure that we don't take too much comfort in this snivveling and to never relax our baby-saving efforts.

Speaking of snivveling, that is the modus operandi lately of Nancy Pelosi.  Read this snippet of an interview in which she referred to the House proposals to cut Planned Parenthood funding a "horror".  Got that?  She's HORRIFIED, I tell you!  Actually I can see her point.  If PP funding dries up, why, their PACs might have to cut back on their endorsements, donations and support of Pelosi's political hide.

However, I think her "horror" pales in comparison with what 3500 babies feel every day, no thanks to Pelosi, New York Times and the rest of the pro-baby-murder cabal.  By the way - listen to what the Vortex has to say about "horror".  Click here if you cannot see embedded video.

Cardinal Burke At Houston Planned Parenthood

To all Catholic clergy, from Cardinal to Deacon  Your presense, especially in your cassocks and other clerical garb, is crucial at the abortuaries.  By virtue of the Sacrament of Holy Orders, you are an alter Christi at  the mills.  Please come!  If His Eminence Cardinal Burke can come all the way from the Vatican to pray at the largest Planned Parenthood abortuary in Houston Texas, surely you can go to the abortuary within your own diocese and lead a prayer/counseling effort there!

Click here if you cannot see embedded video.

By the way, Cardinal Burke gave some explicit instruction on the obligation of clergy to obey Canon 915.

What Some Dems Mean By "Urban Revitalization"

One of Detroit's local Democrat wonks, Geoffrey Fieger, has a rather unique idea to revitalize the city of Detroit with "new industry".  At least I hope it's unique.  Now just what might this "new industry" be?  Hint - it's not new at all; it's known as the world's oldest profession.  Yep!  He wants to legalize prostitution, that glorious industry whereby people sell their bodies and destroy their souls.

According to this Detroit Free Press article, Fieger thinks this, along with the legalization of marijuana, will "attract young people".  What kind of "young people" remains the unanswered question.  What else will it attract?  Well, how about human traffickers - you know, those who lure young underage girls into their networks and keep them imprisoned in their iron grips.  Baltimore ACORN was quite familiar with that sordid racket.

What else would be attracted?  The abortion industry, of course!  Planned Parenthood would make out like the bandits they are.  This blog has shown numerous clips of theirs, as they posed as sex-work bosses and scouted out "services" at various Planned Parenthood centers.  They'd dispense contraceptives to the prostitutes, and when they invariably fail, they'd be right there to murder the children conceived in prostitution.

Is this what Fieger means by making Detroit "a fun city"?  If he has his way, watch all the decent people flee in droves and all the, uh, "funny" people move in.  Oh, by the way!  He's not planning to run for mayor in 2013.  He's got his eyes set on the governor's mansion.  Michigan citizens, beware!

Planned Parenthood Funding Stays

So many people thought that Boehner got such a great deal by compelling the Senate to vote on the defunding of Planned Parenthood.  They thought it just might pass!

Aww, c'mon!!  Get real!!  If Boeher lacked the guts to keep the PP defunding on the table, why on earth would anyone think that Dingy Harry would let that measure go to the Senate floor unless he knew it would fail?  And fail it did.  Here's the roll call on that vote.

"But Planned Parenthood does so much gooooddd!", I'm told.  You know what?  Maybe there's a point here.  Let's look at some of their educational endeavors, their benevolent attempts to reach out to young people.

Thank You, Andy And Michele!!

The Republican count for HR 1363, the government funding bill, was 208 yeas and 28 nays.  That means that the 208 RINOs might as well be pledging allegiance to the revamped banner that you see in the previous post below.  Only 28 Republicans can hold their heads high; they deserve our accolades and esteem.

Michele Bachmann and Steve King are amongst them.  Also in the faithful remnant is Andrew Harris, from Maryland's First Congressional District (eastern shore).  One sad disappointment was the vote of Roscoe Bartlett for this terrible capitulation to Planned Parenthood.  Roscoe!!!  How could you????

This Catholic Citizens of Illinois article will now give you an idea of what Planned Parenthood will continue to do with our tax dollars, now that the GOP leadership has rolled over and played dead.  In 2009, Planned Parenthood murdered over 330,000 babies.  That was about the population size of Cincinnati, Ohio at the time.  That's also a rate of one baby murdered every 95 seconds.  I believe that also boils down to PP being responsible for approximately 20% of all abortions performed.  Ladies and gentlemen, that is called "Your tax dollars - hard at work!"  For that, you have to thank Boehner et al, as well as Reid, Obama and the other usual gang of suspects.

The New De Facto American Flag

As of late last night, the GOP leadership (GOP, as in "Gutless Old Poops"), once again wimped out and caved on the funding of Planned Parenthood.  That means that once again, they have consented to the pilfering of the wallets of American taxpayers to fund the mass-murder of thousands of babies every day.  You see, they were afraid of "losing leverage" if the federal government were to shut down for a few days.  Yes, of course the key word is "afraid".

Afraid of what?  The mass mainstream-lamebrain media?  Again the GOP leadership assumed control of the House of Representatives in spite of  the best efforts of the mass-media.  In kissing up to Obama, Reid and all the progressive power brokers, the GOP leadership turns their backs on the American people who put them in their positions of power and the charge that we have given to them.

"But don't worry!  We'll have THE BIG FIGHT in September!" the GOP wonks assure us.  Well, wait a minute!  When they caved the previous time, they told us that they would stand firm this time!  Now that they've caved yet again, why on earth should we believe that they'll grow a backbone by September?

Because I sent emails to my Annapolis representatives these past few months, who all happen to be Democrats, I was placed on the email list of the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee.  They sent an email today announcing the budget deal.  The first sentence was, "The Republicans blinked."  I regret that this is an accurate summary of the GOP's behavior yesterday.

By the way - I thank Michael Hichborn of the American Life League for the flag; I lifted it off his Facebook page.

Progressives Say The Darndest Things! Especially Feminazis!!

It's quite easy to see that they fear losing their stranglehold on political power in the halls of government.  As they get more desperate, they let their guards down and let it all out.  In other words, they show themselves to be utter fools.  Don't count on the Mainstream-Lame-Brain Media to reveal that.  The New York Times and Washington Post will be in "cover-up-damage-control" for these people.  That's why we, the new media, are here and must remain free of governmental fetters (that is, Obamnazi iron-grips).  So let's get started.

At yesterday's rather pathetic "pro-choice lobby" event, Rep Louise Slaughter (D-NY) let loose with her opinion that the GOP freshmen (many elected by us Tea-Party types) went to Washington "to kill women".  Now it's just an accident of circumstance that her name is "Slaughter", but it is her doing that she has voted to foster the murder of babies - many of them very young women.  Mzz Slaughter, who's really in Washington "to kill women"?  Watch the video below to see her make a fool of herself.  Click here if you can't see embedded video.

Not to be outdone in the "open-mouth-insert-foot" department is Maryland's own Senator Barbara Mikulski.  She had this to say about the defunding of Planned Parenthood: "They (Republicans) want to take our mammograms away from us!"   Poor Babs!  She didn't get the memo!  The lie behind that talking point has been blown to smithereens!  She thinks if you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it.  Sadly, some will, but not as many as she and her feminazi buddies might wish.  Oh, by the way - Babs calls herself Catholic.  Archbishop O'Brien, this woman needs Canon 915 applied to her.  She's getting on in years and needs to set things right with her Maker sooner rather than later.  Watch her carry on in this video.  Click here if you can't see embedded video.

Attention DC Area Pro-Lifers! Assistance Needed Tomorrow!!

From 7am till 7pm, pro-life activists will be setting up a Genocide Awareness display behind the Russell Senate Office Building.  This will speak truth to a farce called "pro-choice lobby day" that's being planned for tomorrow as well.

See this link about tomorrow's pro-life display and what you can do to help.  Contact information is also contained therein.

Pass this along.  Thank you.

A Decent Perspective On The Pence Amendment From The USCCB

A few days ago, the USCCB Pro Life Office published a piece on their website entitled Taxpayer Funding and Planned Parenthood.  It's written by Vicki Evans, who is the Archdiocese of San Francisco Respect Life Coordinator.

Now if only the USCCB would step forward and actually endorse the Pence Amendment, they would actually be doing what bishops are supposed to do - stand against the murder of babies.

Who Needs Pro-Aborts When We Have The USCCB??

One would have to be an ostrich with head in dirt not to know that we are in the midst of a budget showdown with the Messiah Most Miserable.  The GOP in the House seems to be showing some backbone in insisting that abortion and Obamacare be defunded - period.  The pro-abortion Democrat party has flat-out said (mostly through Reid) that they'll shut down the federal government rather than defund abortion.

Comes now the USCCB, bemoaning the governmental shutdown, whining about "the poor and vulnerable" who might be hurt by a shutdown.  Read this "action alert" from the USCCB.

I've got some clear-cut suggestions for the USCCB.
  • There's something called the principle of subsidiarity that the bishops insist on forgetting.  Well, amongst other things, this principle lays the care of the poor at the feet of the Church, not high levels of government.  The USCCB cannot abdicate this responsibility.
  • If the USCCB is concerned about the poor and vulnerable, they might do well to remember the poor and vulnerable babies that governmental funding would murder.  They should then raise loud and courageous voices to join ours in insisting that abortion be defunding - and that's just for starters.
