That is a main theme of today's Vortex; it's shown at the 2:00 mark. Voris is right. There is a high correlation between those who are in rebellion against God and His moral teachings and those who are utterly clueless about our society at large - that is, outside the realm of sports, entertainment and creature comforts. They may not be able to tell you who their two Senators are, but they can tell you (with great enthusiasm) which musician is hooking up with which entertainment personality, etc. The reason for this is simple; spiritual and moral laxity will bring with it mental flabbiness in just about every other aspect of life. For many, physical flabbiness and laziness also comes with the package.
This spiritual and intellectual malady is sadly found among those who call themselves members of the Tea Party. In the Tea Party rallies that I've attended, scant lip-service was paid to God. The rest of the time was devoted to protesting governmental encroachment upon our lives: a rather short-sighted focus. In the most recent issue of the Defend Life newsletter appears an article (written by Yours Truly) that deals with this issue as it pertains to the Tea Party; I link to it now and suggest that you read it (scroll to page 17) rather than try to rehash it here.
I've even seen this sickness within the Manhattan Declaration. In that supposedly seminal document that ostensibly treated all the moral failings of this nation, not one peep was uttered about the pandemonium caused by contraception. In fact, a word search on that document found not one mention of the word "contraception". That glaring omission had "conflict of interest" screaming all over it. Either the authors were themselves dallying with contraception or were too cowardly to confront it among their family and friends. In any event, the authors and many who signed it literally danced around that elephant in the living room. And of course, Michael Voris interviewed young attendees at the March for Life and found many of them approving of contraception and "gay marriage".
Now the video...

In The Wake Of The Virginia Elections..
I posted the following on my facebook page in the wake of the Virginia election results
We could blame Sarvis (and his Obamaphile funder) for this, but in reality, it still comes down to the voters. We cannot even blame the RINO and donor spinelessness; they're not responsible for how the people vote - or didn't vote as the case may be. The populace, by and large, did not take the trouble to educate themselves to the issues and the candidates' stances on them. Had they done so, no "dog and pony show" could have influenced their votes. We've devolved into a nation of atheistic, amoral, intellectually flabby and hedonistic sheeple. In our form of government, we as a people get the leaders we deserve. I truly am sorry for those Virginians who worked valiantly for Ken.
I will add something else. Even in light of the obvious treachery of the RINO establishment, Ken Cuccinelli almost won. He was vastly outspent and yet he nearly pulled it off with grassroots support. I understand that some of the counties managed to shed their liberals for more common-sense officials. The trend is looking up.

Potty-Mouth Talk From Barbara Mikuslksi
Of course this sort of thing is nothing unexpected from a pro-abortion, pro-sodomite "katholic-in-name-only" politician who has remained prominent only because she has betrayed her Church and Jesus Christ. If ever there was a person in dire need of the medicine of Canon 915, Barbara Mikulski would be that quintessential patient. Archbishop Lori of Baltimore, please take note as you are her bishop and are now answerable before God for her. Granted the ultimate responsibility is hers, and you are inheriting quite a mess from your predecessors who demurred from their duty towards her. Please take public action against her and yes, Governor Martin O'Malley too for the sake of their souls.
In her latest screed, she has referred to many of us as practitioners of perverted acts with her use of the term "tea-baggers". What comes out of her mouth is just symptomatic of the garbage that festers within her. Pray for her. Also let's work for her defeat in 2016.

IRS - Rotten To The Core
Like dandelion weeds suddenly sprouting all over a lawn, we have all seen more and more manifestations of IRS thuggery appearing almost hourly throughout the internet. There is not time to comment on them all. I will list below some key links.
IRS Targets Catholic Critics of Obama Regime
IRS Targeted Conservative College Interns
True The Vote Waiting on Tax-Exempt Status
Bachman: IRS Admissions Cast Doubt on Validity of 2012 Elections
Tea-Party Protesters Met By Armed DHS Guards
Reporters Given Forced Armed Escort in IRS Building
IRS's Lerner Has History of Harassing
Speaking of Lois Lerner, she's going before the House committee tomorrow. She plans to refuse to answer questions and to invoke the Fifth Amendment. She doesn't want to incriminate herself. But doesn't that constitute a tacit admission that her answers would incriminate her? But really - she needn't resort to that! She could just join some of her fellow progressives in laying the blame for the IRS debacle at the feet of (betcha can't guess!) - George Bush! Surprise!
It's probably long past time that the Internal Revenue Service was abolished. It is a threat to our republic.

Who Would RepublicanZombieDefense Love To Slash? Us!
Tea Party activists lined a street on which Obama's motorcade traveled to protest his, and the lame-brain mainstream media's abysmal silence on Benghazi. I suppose his dream-team goons would have mad the protesters their targets? Kudos to those Tea Party activists!

Bums On The Bus
That's probably a decent alternative moniker for the so-called "nuns on a bus". On Monday Oct 15th in Marietta Ohio, the "nuns" rolled into that city. We know, of course, that in this election Ohio is a "swing state" but (ahem!) it's just the strangest of coincidences that this Soros-funded farce extended to Ohio - of course!
The local Tea Party and some real Catholics were there to greet them. Click here if you can't see embedded video.
The above video comes courtesy of UCANews.com - obviously a right-wing publication. Not to worry! Nominal Catholic Reporter came to the rescue, with their video of the bus tour participants trying to tap-dance their way around their progressivism and to bedazzle the real Catholics with their seamless-garment gobbly-goop. I don't think they bought it. For a laugh, their video is below. Click here if you can't see embedded video

"How Do Tea Party Crackpots Keep Winning?"
Such are the mysteries of the universe that befuddle Chris Matthews. He asked this question yesterday of some other liberals as together they bemoaned recent victories of Tea-Party-favored candidates throughout the country. He actually answered (partially) his own question when he said of Democrats, "they believe in government."
Between this incident here and the equal consternation to which Nancy Keenan (see yesterday's post) admitted, we see some progressives are beginning to sense that their halcyon days are drawing to a close. We the People are waking up to the fact that we are people, not sheeple. We do not need the Messiah Most Miserable, his Minions Most Mindless and the progressives they represent to be our nannies - and our masters.

Will The GOP Ever Learn That Morality Takes Precedence Over Economy?
Yes, I must rebuke the GOP now - and by the way, that includes Rush Limbaugh! Today on his 3-hour program, he had this to say. I quote from his transcript and will highlight the erroneous part.
"There is a news report from the Washington Post today, and I want to warn you, this report is intended to sabotage the Republican presidential campaign. John Boehner said yesterday that there is a triple threat that exists to this country, three items that the Republicans need to stay focused on and nothing else. The triple threat is higher taxes, more stimulus spending, and federal regulations. All three undermine the creation of jobs. If you remember Ronaldus Magnus had a three-legged school. Three issues. You remember what they were, Snerdley? Defeat communism, rebuild the military, lower taxes. Those were the three things. And he never lost focus of them. Three things constantly discussed, makes it simple, doesn't complicate things. The left would love for the Tea Party to get distracted, start talking about immigration, abortion, gay marriage, all this other stuff, because right now the chief vulnerability faced by Obama and the Democrats is the economy."
So you see that Limbaugh is agreeing with Boehner's attempt to repeat a tired, old practice of shunting the core moral principles of this country off to the sidelines. When I say "core moral principles", that also includes the 4000 babies that are being murdered every day via abortion in the USA alone. It almost seems like Limbaugh is forgetting that silly talk such as what he uttered this afternoon is precisely why the Tea Party is frosted at the RINO establishment. In fact, the Tea Party arose because good, decent people are tired of the RINO establishment being willing to compromise core principles for economic advantage. Let's try to consider that "taxes, spending and regulations" are not threats to the unborn children, as the children are murdered long before they are able to confront them!
Let me make this very clear to the RINO and "GOP establishment" moles who are reading this. The GOP nominee to the presidency MUST have a clear-cut plan to end the scourge of abortion, to re-establish the primacy of marriage between one man and one woman, to restore respect for the role of the family in society. Moreover, these matters MUST be made priority over and beyond economic issues. Boehner, Limbaugh et al forget that we were founded as a nation under God. Since Limbaugh is so fond of quoting Ronald Reagan, here's a quote to ponder: "If we ever forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under." And this is what Limbaugh dismisses as "all this other stuff"?
Please notice the use of the word "must" in bold font. There is a reason for that. I wish to emphasize to my RINO readers that unless the GOP nominee does indeed deem these matters to be "top priority", he/she will not be able to count on the support of social conservatives (particularly pro-life people) and many of the Tea Party. Should there be a third candidate who will espouse those "MUST" matters, he/she will receive a large percentage of our support. No more can you take the support of social conservatives for granted, only to have our concerns - and by extension the unborn children - shoved on the back burner. We know that our God will not be mocked in that manner anymore. Haven't we learned that yet? To coin a phrase from the Clinton campaign of the recent past..

A Lesson In "Civility"
Bless their hearts! The liberal left-wing progressives of the Democrat Party have given to us a priceless lesson on what they consider "civility" and "reaching across the aisle" to be. Let's listen to Maxine Waters herself. As you watch, notice the SEIU shirts in her audience; the wearers of those shirts are cheering her on! A year ago last spring, they and other union-types gave to a young 14-year-old boy a "lesson" he'll never forget, as 500+ of them stampeded on the front lawn and porch of his home.

Obama Confronted With Truth - Twice!
During a bus stop in Iowa, two Tea Party activists confronted him about the Vice President calling them (and us, by extension) terrorists. Today, Ryan Rhodes spoke with both Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin; I heard some pieces of each interview. Mr Rhodes made repeated reference to his faith in God. Click here if you can't see embedded video.
During the Face the Truth Tour this year, some activists from Defend Life (see right side bar) positioned themselves on Embassy Row along a route that Obama was slated to take. Obama had to have seen the truth of what he promotes. Click here if you cannot see embedded video.

Mainstream Media Helps Dick Durbin Strong-Arm A Conservative Reporter
It appears that Senator Dick Durbin gave a press conference this past Thursday on the downgrade and the current economic mess in general. They let slip in Bill Kelly of the Washington Times. Kelly listened to Durbin blame the Republicans, Tea Party etc for the mess. Kelly asked Durbin if he accepted any of the blame. Watch below to see Durbin - with the assistance of the liberal reporters there - try to blow off Kelly. Here is more evidence why alternative media such as this blog is needed, and why the so-called "Fairness Doctrine" is a snake in the grass.
Oh, by the way. This is the same "catholyc-in-name-only" Dick Durbin with whom Cardinal McCarrick saw fit to rub elbows in his ill-advised campaign for the DREAM Act. The cardinal has shown a distressing propensity for hanging around immoral progressives - I wonder why!

John Kerry Asks Mainstream Media To Censor Conservative People
It's right here. Why any intelligent people vote for him is beyond me, as he doesn't even bother to disguise his collosal arrogance. This is what progressives think of decent people. Click here if you cannot see embedded video.

RINO Leaders Talk Tough - To Tea-Party Activists, That Is!
Haley Barbour and Reince Priebus, RNC chair, warned conservatives not to impose "purity" tests on GOP candidates. Barbour went so far as to say that "in politics, purity is the enemy of victory". Says a lot about their priorities, doesn't it? As far as they're concerned, it's all about unity, you see?
One wonders if they had this dress-down chat with those who threw Christine O'Donnell and Sharon Angle under the bus in 2008. If the GOP had stood behind them, they might have won their seats. One wonders if they've had this talk with Newt and Pawlenty as they glom onto the global warming hoax. Somehow I think not.
Haley and Reince, I have a very simple response to your call to so-called "unity". PPHHPFFTH! Clear? Haven't you learned yet that if you don't have principles for which you will stand and grow spines, you have no basis for unity nor victory? Must you keep on earning the moniker "Stupid Party"?
The Tea Party ain't buying it! We're not listening to your hollow calls for hollow unity. Michele Bachmann, Sarah Palin and others have our support because they stand for real principles. They aren't afraid to rattle cages - including yours!

Ron Paul And Libertarianism - Deadly For This Country
About six weeks ago, I posted my opinion that Ron Paul's position on abortion makes him unacceptable as a presidential candidate. I've no doubt that he personally abhors abortion, but he is of the libertarian mindset that the federal government has no say in the matter. In that earlier post, I explained why that mindset doesn't pass the "smell test".
It now turns out that Paul voted to repeal the "don't ask don't tell" policy. In other words, he would compromise the effectiveness of our military and allow gays in the armed forces.
The man is a libertarian, not a conservative. The two are NOT equivalent by a long shot. The true consersvative recognizes the indispensible role that morality plays in public life and in the government whereas the libertarian will turn a blind eye to all sorts of depravity as long as he/she perceives that his/her parade isn't getting wet.
Some of the Tea Party seem to be of the libertarian mindset. Some have gone so far as to advocate the setting aside of "social issues" in favor of "economic issues". They are dead wrong. As long as we fail to put God and His laws before all else, including our wallets, our nation will continue its slide towards oblivion. The libertarians of the Tea Party - and of anywhere else - had better wake up and do some serious soul-searching. If the Tea Party embraces libertarianism, it will have consigned itself to the dungheap of irrelevancy.

Progressives Say The Darndest Things! Especially Feminazis!!
It's quite easy to see that they fear losing their stranglehold on political power in the halls of government. As they get more desperate, they let their guards down and let it all out. In other words, they show themselves to be utter fools. Don't count on the Mainstream-Lame-Brain Media to reveal that. The New York Times and Washington Post will be in "cover-up-damage-control" for these people. That's why we, the new media, are here and must remain free of governmental fetters (that is, Obamnazi iron-grips). So let's get started.
At yesterday's rather pathetic "pro-choice lobby" event, Rep Louise Slaughter (D-NY) let loose with her opinion that the GOP freshmen (many elected by us Tea-Party types) went to Washington "to kill women". Now it's just an accident of circumstance that her name is "Slaughter", but it is her doing that she has voted to foster the murder of babies - many of them very young women. Mzz Slaughter, who's really in Washington "to kill women"? Watch the video below to see her make a fool of herself. Click here if you can't see embedded video.
Not to be outdone in the "open-mouth-insert-foot" department is Maryland's own Senator Barbara Mikulski. She had this to say about the defunding of Planned Parenthood: "They (Republicans) want to take our mammograms away from us!" Poor Babs! She didn't get the memo! The lie behind that talking point has been blown to smithereens! She thinks if you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it. Sadly, some will, but not as many as she and her feminazi buddies might wish. Oh, by the way - Babs calls herself Catholic. Archbishop O'Brien, this woman needs Canon 915 applied to her. She's getting on in years and needs to set things right with her Maker sooner rather than later. Watch her carry on in this video. Click here if you can't see embedded video.

Just Say "NO!!" To ANY Budget, Short-Term Or Permanent, That Gives One More Red Penny To Planned Parenthood
Much of this information comes from Jill Stanek's blog; I commend Family Research Council and other groups who are monitoring the votes. The post relayed the dismal news that last evening, the GOP-controlled House Appropriations Committee released another proposed short-term Continuing Resolution to kick in when the current one expires next week. It continues the Planned Parenthood funding to the tune of:
That is unacceptable, to say the least.
$950,000 each DAY
That is unacceptable, to say the least.

Open Letter To Speaker Of The House John Boehner
Mr. Speaker, several weeks ago the House of Representatives voted to strip Planned Parenthood of all taxpayer dollars. Truth be told, that vote would have been difficult to lose, since the November 2010 elections put into the House true conservatives, largely due to the efforts of pro-life and tea-party activists.
Now the rubber hits the road, as the funding must be worked out in conference between the House and the Democrat-controlled Senate. This will be a true test of mettle, as there does exist the possibility of the US government running out of funds for the day-to-day operations.
Remarks made by you to David Brody of CBN News give many concern that you are getting ready to waver in the face of Democrat opposition. You said, “In the short term CR though, our focus is on cutting spending and making sure that we keep the government open. In order to get this through the House and through the Senate and signed by the president by March 4th, we’re not going to take any big chances on the fact that they’re looking for an excuse to shut down the government. Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer they’ve been rooting for a government shutdown. We do not want to give them an excuse to do that.”
Mr. Speaker, of what are you afraid? If the government shuts down, it will be the Democrats who do that, not you. Oh, yes, the mainstream media will try to pin the blame on the Republicans, but bear in mind that those who ushered in the biggest Republican take-over of the House in history do not take seriously the rantings of the Washington Post, New York Times et al. Why would you? Mr. Speaker, we of the pro-life contingent and the Tea Party contingent are sick and tired of vascillation, connivance and compromise with those who do not have at their hearts the best interests of this country, and who care even less about traditional morality and values.
You stated that "what we want to do here is win the war not just win a battle and there will be an opportunity sometime in order to win the big war and we’re looking for that opportunity." Mr. Speaker, that's nonsense. One does not win wars without winning battles, and to forfeit a battle will only weaken our position in the future. Moreover, I'm mystified by your claim that "we're looking for that opportunity." Mr. Speaker, that opportunity has been handed to you on a silver platter. The recent exposes of Planned Parenthood offices throughout the country (some of them within 10 miles of the Capitol) have revealed Planned Parenthood to be an organization hell-bent on harboring child-rapists, sex-slave handlers and pimps - all done with over $363 million of our tax dollars! America is finally waking up to the truth about Planned Parenthood, and the horrible monstrosity that it is! Are you really going to squander that golden opportunity to "keep the government running"?
As I said before, we are tired of playing waiting games. For too long, pro-life activists and other conservatives have been played for chumps - but those days are now long gone. You urged pro-life activists to be "patient". Mr Speaker, no-can-do! For all this "patience" has real costs - human lives. For the love of God, Mr. Speaker, grow a backbone! If the Democrats want to shut down the government because they want a pimp-and-predator protection racket to receive our hard-earned dollars, then let the world see them for the snakes they are! Don't worry about the mainstream media! I remind you that you are Speaker of the House in spite of their machinations and conniving, not because of them.
November 2012 is not that far away. We conservatives won the House, we almost won the Senate; we intend to finish the job in 2012, as well as disinfect the White House. We will be watching, and we will also be alert to replace Republicans who do not stand on principle as opposed to connive for politics. I'm stating a fact. I and many others are most grateful for the House victory a few weeks ago, but we will not be satisified with mere symbolism; we want substance and will accept nothing less.
Now the rubber hits the road, as the funding must be worked out in conference between the House and the Democrat-controlled Senate. This will be a true test of mettle, as there does exist the possibility of the US government running out of funds for the day-to-day operations.

Eight Republicans Who Need To Be Defeated
According to this Politico report, eight Republicans, call them RINOs, voted to repeal the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" (DADT) policy in our military, greatly opening up the likelihood that both morality and morale will be severely undermined. Quoting from Politico, "The Republican senators voting “yes” with the Democrats on repeal were Richard Burr of North Carolina, Mark Kirk of Illinois, John Ensign of Nevada, Scott Brown of Massachusetts, George Voinovich of Ohio, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska – and Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins, both of Maine"
The votes of Snowe and Collins are no surprise, and I suppose neither is Scott Brown's. But John Ensign? Et tu, Brute? Every Tea Party activist in the states of these RINO's should make it their mission to take these people out during the next elections when they're up.

Attention All RINOs!
You know who you are! You're the "country-club", ever-so-sophisticated inside-the-beltway elites who don't mind being the minority as long as you get a generous supply of crumbs from the table. You are all too willing to throw conservative principles in the trash can in order to secure those plumb crumbs. Well, despite your bumbling, you made significant gains in the Senate and won control of the House this past week.

Mike Miller's Malevolent Fantasies
On Friday, I posted about Obama's trip to Bowie State to bolster O'Malley's gubernatorial campaign. As noted, a number of local Democrats addressed the audience. Among them was MD State Senate President Thomas "Mike" Miller. He said that "we're not going to stand for the tea party here in Maryland." You might recall that I publicly asked him what he meant by that remark.
In my initial research, I overlooked this Washington Post article that just might shed some light on my question. I'll pull in the quote from Miller. "We're not going to stand for the tea party here in Maryland," Miller said to raucous applause and whistles. "When we're through with them, they're going to be in the Chesapeake Bay, floating out to sea." At the very least, he seems to be taking gaffe lessons from Joe Biden. However, there is no mistaking the violent fantasies here. "Mere metaphor" you say? Consider - were this some conservative making this quip about some progressive sub-group, we all know damned well that the hue and cry for his/her personal destruction would resound through the mainstream media.
Now here's another possible "inspirational video" that helped fuel Miller's little snit-fit against conservative people. Behold. (Click here if you can't see embedded video).
