I posted the following on my facebook page in the wake of the Virginia election results
We could blame Sarvis (and his Obamaphile funder) for this, but in reality, it still comes down to the voters. We cannot even blame the RINO and donor spinelessness; they're not responsible for how the people vote - or didn't vote as the case may be. The populace, by and large, did not take the trouble to educate themselves to the issues and the candidates' stances on them. Had they done so, no "dog and pony show" could have influenced their votes. We've devolved into a nation of atheistic, amoral, intellectually flabby and hedonistic sheeple. In our form of government, we as a people get the leaders we deserve. I truly am sorry for those Virginians who worked valiantly for Ken.
I will add something else. Even in light of the obvious treachery of the RINO establishment, Ken Cuccinelli almost won. He was vastly outspent and yet he nearly pulled it off with grassroots support. I understand that some of the counties managed to shed their liberals for more common-sense officials. The trend is looking up.

The Vote To Capitulate
The vote to capitulate to tyrannical bullying from the White House was conducted this evening. In both houses, the GOP leaders shamed themselves. I blame them more than I do the Messiah Most Miserable, for now his despotic behavior has been rewarded and affirmed by John Boehner, Mitch McConnell and the rest of the RINO bunch. Here are the roll calls:
- House of Representatives - Note that both John Boehner and Eric Cantor sold their country down the river. They and the other 85 RINOs need to be given their pink slips in 2014. It's bad enough that Boehner allowed it on the floor, but he added insult to injury in voting for it.
- Senate - Again, McConnell voted for it. The RINOs here must go.
We need representatives who understand the US Constitution and who have courage of their convictions. Of course that presupposes that they have convictions at all. We are seeing our republic devolve to an oligarchy before our very eyes. Will enough of us wake up in time to halt this deterioration?

RINO Roll Call Of Infamy
As we all know by now, the Senate voted by a predictable margin of 55-45 to pass the House version of the funding bill - sans the provision to defund Obamacare. Of course the real vote came earlier; that was the vote for or against cloture. Ultimately the vote was for cloture, and then the results for the later vote were a given.
The Senate Conservatives Fund shows the list of traitors who stabbed not only Ted Cruz and friends in the back, but also each and every one of this. Many of them are the "usual gang of suspects": John McCain, Lisa Murkowski, etc. But Mitch McConnell? Isn't he supposed to be the Republican Minority Leader in the Senate?
I'm sure at least a few of them are up for re-election in 2014. They need to be defeated, with the rest going down in flames when they're up next.

On The Bandwagon To Attack Syria
Don't these two men have any principles whatsoever? They are going to help plunge the United States into a
foolhardy military strike. We have reason to suspect that it is the Syrian rebels who murdered their countrymen, not the Syrian government. Moreover we have no clear-cut objectives, save to avenge the crossing of some "red line". These two men are proving themselves to be an utter disaster for this country.
What's that? You think I'm bashing Obama and Biden again? Such confusion is quite understandable, but on this occasion, those two (incompetent though they are) are not the cause of my displeasure. I speak of John Boehner, the Speaker of the House and Eric Cantor, the House Majority Leader. They are following lock-step behind the Messiah Most Miserable.
Of course we have the usual gang of suspects lining up like mice behind that pied piper called Obama: John Kerry (who won't be tossing any medals over the fence on this occasion), John McCain, Nancy Pelosi et al. No surprise there. But Boehner and Cantor? Truth be told, I anticipated the House Weeper displaying his spine of linguine but still held some vague hope that he might actually display some mettle. Nope! Well, come 2014, Boehner and Cantor have got to go. They have sold their country down the river just a few times too often.

What Penny Nance Said!
In the wake of the election, there has been a lot of silly talk coming from some GOP wonks. They claim that in order to win future elections, that the GOP must scuttle its positions on abortion, gay "marriage", etc. Given that millions of Republicans stayed away from the polls when Mitt Romney (who is no lion regarding traditional morality) was running, their claim is silly on its face. Even Ann Coulter seems to be swallowing the kool-aid.
Evangelicals issued their own warning to RINO establishment in this Christian Post piece. Penny Nance's part appears towards the end. I echo its sentiments.

Maryland News - From The "Et Tu, Brute?" Department
As most of you by now know, the Civil Marriage Protection Act, HB438, passed the Maryland House of Representatives by a 71-67 margin. A minimum number of 71 votes is needed, so this attack on marriage advanced literally by one vote. Arguably the blame for that can be laid at the feet of Wade Kach, who announced last Friday his turncoat intentions. Some of us assumed that O'Malley probably made him an offer he could not refuse. While that may be true, perhaps other forces were brought to bear.
If this Baltimore Sun report is to be believed (and it probably is), former GOP Vice President Dick Cheney came to Annapolis to lobby for the passage of this marriage mutation bill. Two days earlier, in committee, Kach had opposed the bill. Arguably, some of the blame can be shared by Pam Beidle, another Republican (and a Catholic) who turned coat and voted against decency.
Who needs to worry about progressive dems when we have RINOs like these with which to contend? We need to buck the Gutless Ol' Poops that have been continuously snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. We can and must make our voices heard this November.

Ann Barnhardt On Mitt Romney
I like this lady! She's right - the RINO establishment does seem intent on foisting Romney on us. However, we don't have to let it happen! Click here if you cannot see embedded video.

Will The GOP Ever Learn That Morality Takes Precedence Over Economy?
Yes, I must rebuke the GOP now - and by the way, that includes Rush Limbaugh! Today on his 3-hour program, he had this to say. I quote from his transcript and will highlight the erroneous part.
"There is a news report from the Washington Post today, and I want to warn you, this report is intended to sabotage the Republican presidential campaign. John Boehner said yesterday that there is a triple threat that exists to this country, three items that the Republicans need to stay focused on and nothing else. The triple threat is higher taxes, more stimulus spending, and federal regulations. All three undermine the creation of jobs. If you remember Ronaldus Magnus had a three-legged school. Three issues. You remember what they were, Snerdley? Defeat communism, rebuild the military, lower taxes. Those were the three things. And he never lost focus of them. Three things constantly discussed, makes it simple, doesn't complicate things. The left would love for the Tea Party to get distracted, start talking about immigration, abortion, gay marriage, all this other stuff, because right now the chief vulnerability faced by Obama and the Democrats is the economy."
So you see that Limbaugh is agreeing with Boehner's attempt to repeat a tired, old practice of shunting the core moral principles of this country off to the sidelines. When I say "core moral principles", that also includes the 4000 babies that are being murdered every day via abortion in the USA alone. It almost seems like Limbaugh is forgetting that silly talk such as what he uttered this afternoon is precisely why the Tea Party is frosted at the RINO establishment. In fact, the Tea Party arose because good, decent people are tired of the RINO establishment being willing to compromise core principles for economic advantage. Let's try to consider that "taxes, spending and regulations" are not threats to the unborn children, as the children are murdered long before they are able to confront them!
Let me make this very clear to the RINO and "GOP establishment" moles who are reading this. The GOP nominee to the presidency MUST have a clear-cut plan to end the scourge of abortion, to re-establish the primacy of marriage between one man and one woman, to restore respect for the role of the family in society. Moreover, these matters MUST be made priority over and beyond economic issues. Boehner, Limbaugh et al forget that we were founded as a nation under God. Since Limbaugh is so fond of quoting Ronald Reagan, here's a quote to ponder: "If we ever forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under." And this is what Limbaugh dismisses as "all this other stuff"?
Please notice the use of the word "must" in bold font. There is a reason for that. I wish to emphasize to my RINO readers that unless the GOP nominee does indeed deem these matters to be "top priority", he/she will not be able to count on the support of social conservatives (particularly pro-life people) and many of the Tea Party. Should there be a third candidate who will espouse those "MUST" matters, he/she will receive a large percentage of our support. No more can you take the support of social conservatives for granted, only to have our concerns - and by extension the unborn children - shoved on the back burner. We know that our God will not be mocked in that manner anymore. Haven't we learned that yet? To coin a phrase from the Clinton campaign of the recent past..

RINO Leaders Talk Tough - To Tea-Party Activists, That Is!
Haley Barbour and Reince Priebus, RNC chair, warned conservatives not to impose "purity" tests on GOP candidates. Barbour went so far as to say that "in politics, purity is the enemy of victory". Says a lot about their priorities, doesn't it? As far as they're concerned, it's all about unity, you see?
One wonders if they had this dress-down chat with those who threw Christine O'Donnell and Sharon Angle under the bus in 2008. If the GOP had stood behind them, they might have won their seats. One wonders if they've had this talk with Newt and Pawlenty as they glom onto the global warming hoax. Somehow I think not.
Haley and Reince, I have a very simple response to your call to so-called "unity". PPHHPFFTH! Clear? Haven't you learned yet that if you don't have principles for which you will stand and grow spines, you have no basis for unity nor victory? Must you keep on earning the moniker "Stupid Party"?
The Tea Party ain't buying it! We're not listening to your hollow calls for hollow unity. Michele Bachmann, Sarah Palin and others have our support because they stand for real principles. They aren't afraid to rattle cages - including yours!

Thank You, Andy And Michele!!
The Republican count for HR 1363, the government funding bill, was 208 yeas and 28 nays. That means that the 208 RINOs might as well be pledging allegiance to the revamped banner that you see in the previous post below. Only 28 Republicans can hold their heads high; they deserve our accolades and esteem.
Michele Bachmann and Steve King are amongst them. Also in the faithful remnant is Andrew Harris, from Maryland's First Congressional District (eastern shore). One sad disappointment was the vote of Roscoe Bartlett for this terrible capitulation to Planned Parenthood. Roscoe!!! How could you????
This Catholic Citizens of Illinois article will now give you an idea of what Planned Parenthood will continue to do with our tax dollars, now that the GOP leadership has rolled over and played dead. In 2009, Planned Parenthood murdered over 330,000 babies. That was about the population size of Cincinnati, Ohio at the time. That's also a rate of one baby murdered every 95 seconds. I believe that also boils down to PP being responsible for approximately 20% of all abortions performed. Ladies and gentlemen, that is called "Your tax dollars - hard at work!" For that, you have to thank Boehner et al, as well as Reid, Obama and the other usual gang of suspects.

A Less-Than-Peaceful Planned Parenthood Funding Supporter
From the New haven Register, we read that local police and FBI agents visited the home of an elderly woman in Guilford CT after she left threatening messages on the phone of a politician. She threatened to castrate him because he favors the defunding of Planned Parenthood. She was "very upset" because she used to volunteer with Planned Parenthood. See what slavishness these death-dealing organizations engender?
While the authorities did verify that this woman did indeed make the threats, they declined to arrest her, not believing the threats to be credible. One wonders what might have been their course of action had the woman been in favor of cutting the Planned Parenthood funding and she had directed her threat to a pro-abortion politician. The reports do not name the woman.
The reports also decline to name the threatened politician. However, there are many politicians whom the woman would not have been inclined to threaten in her rather bizarre manner, including Republicans. Due to their votes to continue the Planned Parenthood funding, she would not have felt it necessary to make such calls to them. And yes, the previous sentence can have several meanings!!

Eight Republicans Who Need To Be Defeated
According to this Politico report, eight Republicans, call them RINOs, voted to repeal the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" (DADT) policy in our military, greatly opening up the likelihood that both morality and morale will be severely undermined. Quoting from Politico, "The Republican senators voting “yes” with the Democrats on repeal were Richard Burr of North Carolina, Mark Kirk of Illinois, John Ensign of Nevada, Scott Brown of Massachusetts, George Voinovich of Ohio, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska – and Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins, both of Maine"
The votes of Snowe and Collins are no surprise, and I suppose neither is Scott Brown's. But John Ensign? Et tu, Brute? Every Tea Party activist in the states of these RINO's should make it their mission to take these people out during the next elections when they're up.

GOP = Gutless Old Poops
So what is the latest manifestation of calcium deficiency in their spinal columns now? It has to do with how they plan to (NOT!) fight the Kagan nomination. Lifenews reveals that John Kyl, ranking Republican of the Senate Judiciary Committee is dismissing the tactic of filibuster in the Kagan case. Says the Senator, "The filibuster should be relegated to the extreme circumstances, and I don't think Elena Kagan represents that."
What is necessary, in their opinions, to qualify as "extreme circumstances"? Must the nominee in question be a reincarnation of Atila the Hun, or Adolf Hitler, or Joseph Stalin?
Ladies and gentlemen of the GOP, in case you haven't noticed, we are fighting for the soul of this country, if not civilization itself. We certainly are fighting for the babies being slaughtered by the thousands everyday in this country. Whether or not these seems like "extreme" statements, I defy any one of you to dispute the factual accuracy of them. Lose the "country-club, oh-so-genteel" veneer and realize the stakes involved here. If there is one thing you'd better learn from the Tea Party Movement, it's that the votes and support of conservatives can no longer be taken for granted; they must be earned. With this most irresponsible statement of John Kyl's, you have done much to alienate true conservatives. You'd better wake up and do your utmost to fight the Kagan nomination. We won't forget this November.

What's Up WIth Michael Steele?
The Chairman of the National Republican Party is appearing to be less and less worthy of trust. My colleague at Threshing Grain (see right side-bar) reported on a "Catholic Democrat" conference that happened in Washington DC a few days ago. It appears to have been sponsored by National Catholic Reporter and Trinity University; thus it's no surprise that it was nothing more than a dissenter gab-fest. It's a pity that I learned of this just now. Had I known soon enough, I would have called for a picket.
There was a "usual gang of suspects": Nancy Pelosi, Sr Carol Keehan, Fr Thomas Reese, etc. What saddened me, though, is to see that Michael Steele joined these CINOs. He's gone the way of Casey Jr and Stupak, it seems.
The Republican Party had better take note of this, and/or Steele really should reconsider. It seems like Steele may be going both RINO and CINO.
