Pro-life people! Your presence on the sidewalk MATTERS! Notice that one sentence outside that abortuary made all the difference; the pro-life person who uttered that sentence probably didn't know for the birth mother was ushered out the back.

If it's been a while since you've been in front of an abortion mill to pray and/or offer assistance, please get back there!

How Much Do YOU Care?

Listen closely to yesterday's episode of the Vortex.  He echoes many things I've been saying and thinking throughout the years.  I've seen so many in the pro-life community wax giddy and lyrical how "the polls" indicate that the "nation is becoming pro-life" and "think abortion is wrong".  Such polls I take with copious grains of salt.  Those polls aren't worth the time, effort and money it takes to conduct them.

So many folks, who are decent, claim to be pro-life but don't really make any pro-life concern a real part in their lives.  Oh yes, they might contribute every now and then to a pro-life fundraiser and even attend a gala or two.  Maybe, just maybe, they'll vote pro-life unless somehow they perceive that their "financial interests" would be better-served by a pro-abortion candidate.   And of course they wouldn't think of taking a public stance such as witnessing at an abortion center or writing a letter to the editor or volunteering at a crisis pregnancy center.  In other words, they aren't "pro-life" enough to step out of their comfort zones and make some real long-term commitment to the babies.

If what I just described above sounds too familiar for comfort, I urge you to listen again to the clip.  Go to confession if necessary.  And then begin to step out - even if you don't feel like it.  Join an ongoing pro-life witness in your area (40 Days for Life will soon be starting its Fall 2012 session - look for one in your locality) and stay with it.  While being pro-life means that you carry it into the voting booth, that only occurs every few years.  Pro-life is more - it is being pro-life every day.  Click here if you can't see embedded video.

More Liberal Self-Righteousness At The Abortion Mill

Yesterday at the Planned Parenthood in Silver Spring, MD, another neighborhood malcontent attempted to remove the pro-life signs on his own dubious authority.  This case was a little different from the rest.  He seemed to be enraged over one sign only - the sign with the word "abortionist" on it.  So no, one cannot blame the "horrible graphic pictures" this time!

While he was grabbing for the sign, two men (one a priest) from our group approached.  Their presence must have caused the man to reconsider the wisdom (or lack thereof) of his endeavors.  He did call the police but left before they arrived.

Please note some things:

• For all the self-righteous snooting and snorting that progressives heave our way, complaining that we "force our views" on others, this fellow seemed to have no qualms about literally forcing his views on us by attempting to steal the sign.
• You'll notice his complaints about the sign "inciting violence".  It seems the only violence being "incited" was his own.  Do you think that maybe, just maybe, his lack of self-control or his own arrogance might have been contributing factors?  Oh, no!!  Perish the thought!!!  It was all the fault of an arrow-shaped yellow sign no higher than the knee!
• Towards the end, you'll hear him try to utter some lame excuse that the "abortionist" sign pointed out a specific individual.  What nonsense!  How many people listed in the White Pages go by the name "abortionist"?
• That these people think they can arbitrate who gets to enjoy First Amendment rights should surprise no one.  After all, they seem to think they can determine if a baby should be allowed to be born or to be subject to murder.

Cardinal Dolan To Shame Himself Before Obama

By now most people have heard that both presidential candidates will be the main speakers at the Alfred E Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner, hosted by Catholic Charities of New York.  It will be held Thursday, October 18th at the Waldorf-Astoria.

That's right!  Once again, the Messiah Most Miserable, the most abortion-fostering president to date, is being wined and dined and adulated at a Catholic event.  Of course decent people are outraged at this invitation.  Obama has shown himself to be openly hostile to Christian values of life and morality - particularly as they are displayed by Catholics.  Even now we are fighting the draconian HHS mandates that came into play a few days ago.

Cardinal Dolan's office tried to stave off criticism.  His spokesman, Joseph Zwilling, claimed, "this is not a partisan event.  It is an evening to put politics aside and come together in a spirit of civility."  Well, here are a few questions for Mr. Zwilling and (by extension) His Eminence.

• If this is not a "partisan event", just what kind of event is it?  Answer - a money-grubbing event, and an event to flatter the wealthy and powerful.
• When you "put politics aside", what else are you putting aside?  Answer - your Christian principles, your sense of right versus wrong.
• If you think you're putting politics aside, do you really think Obama is doing the same?  You are handing to him, on a silver platter, the perfect photo-ops to use on the Catholic public just two weeks away from the presidential elections.  But if you really persist in that belief, may I sell to you the Brooklyn Bridge?
• If you really want to engage in a "spirit of civility", why not ask Obama to "reach across the table" in that regard?  The fact is that while the dinner is occurring and all the schmoozing and elbow-rubbing occurs, babies will be murdered during that time.  Try asking Obama to have all abortions in New York City suspended while that dinner occurs and see how far that "civility" will go!

Father Frank Pavone, president of Priests for Life, denounced Obama's planned appearance at the dinner.  His remarks, though brief, are spot-on.  Of particular note is his statement, perhaps as a retort to Zwilling, "there comes a time when the polite putting aside of differences for a while amounts to scandal".  Father Pavone is correct.

Over three years ago, Obama gave the commencement address at the University of Notre Dame.  That was roundly and rightly criticized.  Among the critics was - Cardinal Dolan!   Read his statement from April 15, 2009!  He said (among other things), "by inviting President Obama to deliver the commencement address and to receive an honorary degree, Notre Dame wrongly signaled to students 'we hold him up as a model to you'".  I submit that there is no change between that occasion and this.  Why the change in Cardinal Dolan's outlook between then and now?  I submit that Cardinal Dolan is sending the same signal now that he so correctly deplored in 2009.  This dichotomy in the Cardinal's two positions is rendered more stark by the evils thrust on this nation during the intervening three years.

I frankly believe the petition will be ignored (although I'd welcome being proved wrong in this case).  In that case, it might be necessary for Catholics (and others of good will) to take to the streets in front of the Waldorf-Astoria in protest, as did hundreds of good people at Notre Dame.  The onus for this will largely be on the faithful of New York.  Are we up for it?

Abortionist Gives Sidewalk Counselors Handy Tips!

Yes, that post title is a tad sarcastic, but it fits in well with the silliness of this abortionist. First, ht to Jill Stanek who first posted this on her blog.

Ann Furedi, CEO of British Pregnancy Advisory Service, the UK's largest independent abortion perpetrator, had some (ahem!) "words of wisdom" to share with sidewalk counselors.  I won't bother to repeat the self-serving screed in its entirety here.  But I'll quote the last line and offer a "translation" for it is quite revealing not only of her arrogance, but her sheer stupidity in believing that any pro-life activist would actually take her nonsense seriously.

Here's the line. "Outside a clinic is the wrong place, and women in immediate need of care are the wrong audience."

Here's my translation. "Outside a clinic is the wrong place, for it reduces our daily bank deposits and hurts our profit margins.  These women are the wrong audience for they're supposed to be our customers and cash cows."  Don't you think that's much more accurate?

40 Days For Life - Lent 2012

What Are Your Pro-Life Resolutions For 2012??

My friend at Les Femmes broached an interesting question about resolutions (see right side bar).  In addition to her excellent points, I'd like to ask these questions:

• Do you think our nation and indeed our very civilization can last much longer when we (as a nation) countenance the murders of over 3000 babies every day in their mothers' wombs?  (Of course the answer is NO!)
• Do you realize that if you're not an active part of the solution to the horrendous problem of abortion, then you are part of the problem? (There is no "middle ground" here!)
• What will you do to be part of the solution, to end the holocaust of abortion?

Here's one concrete suggestion.  Actually, I'll dare suggest that it is a moral imperative.

BE IN FRONT OF AN ABORTION MILL - ON A REGULAR BASIS - TO OFFER CHRISTIAN WITNESS

We have seen - time and time again - that when Christians are in front of these hell-holes (laughingly referred to as "clinics") that babies are saved as the mothers see real hope for their situation and/or their consciences are pricked.  A "case in point" is when the death-camp known as Germantown Reproductive Health Services was the stage for the Summer of Mercy 2.0, that "death took a holiday" and Carhart shut the place during that time.  That means for the first time in years (for abortions had been occurring long before Carhart's arrival), no innocent blood was shed at the Executive Park complex in Germantown.  See www.prayforgermantown.com for more information.  We've seen this at other abortuaries - when our numbers are up, the number of baby-murders decreases.

Gazette Publishes Pro-Life Letters Regarding Article About Front-Line Activism

Last week I speculated that the Gazette probably wouldn't publish pro-life letters that contradicted the obvious slant of their article and editorial regarding our presence in front of baby-killing centers.  I'm pleased to discover that I was incorrect about that.  In today's edition appears three letters that lend some balance to earlier-stated opinion.  I will link to them.

Guess Who's In The Department of Justice Cross-Hairs?

Might it be the New Black Panthers, who had their thugs at various polling places during the 2008 elections, wielding night sticks at those who might dare to vote against Obama?  (Click here if you can't see embedded video).



How silly!  Of course the DOJ wouldn't be gunning after goons who were simply "thugging for Obama"!  After all, if they go to jail, what might happen to the election in 2012?

Nope!  The Minions Most Mindless of the Messiah Most Miserable of the DOJ were going after a real threat to the Messiah's regime - at least, to the pocketbooks of the leading abortion perpetrator in this country.  They are going after Dick Retta who is a sidewalk counselor in front of the Planned Parenthood facility on 16th Street in Washington DC.  Read about the nonsense at the Lifesite News article.  Therein you can see the official complaint and see a video of Mr. Retta as he goes about his sidewalk counseling.  If you can't see the video embedded in that article, go here.  By the way - after you read the complaint and marvel at how the escorts are portrayed as angelic paragons of virtue, go back to my post of a few days ago and watch that video to see how the escorts really carry on!  The pro-life man who is being blocked and slammed is Mr. Retta.

To be fair, Mr. Retta does pose a bit of a threat - to the money intake at Planned Parenthood, that is.  The place is within walking distance of the White House, so the shrieks of the Planned Parenthood money clerks, as they prepare ever-shrinking daily bank deposits, must be reaching the ears of the Messiah Most Miserable (they are rather big!).

So there you have it.  The Obama-controlled Department of Justice turns blind eyes to voting poll thugs and works diligently to protect the money intake of the biggest abortion perpetrator in the country.  Your tax dollars at work - keeping the Messiah Most Miserable and his money-bags happy!

Montgomery County Gazette And Free Speech

About a month ago some reporters from the Gazette papers interviewed some of us who witness at the Spring Street Planned Parenthood in Silver Spring MD.  The article appeared in last week's edition.  Considering that the Gazette is owned by the Washington Post, a mainstream media outlet that makes no secret of its left-wing bias, the article was relatively decent although it was a tad distorted to the left.

This week the editorial staff weighed in with their editorial.  Here is the link.  Notice the first sentence, where they outright accuse us of overstepping the First Amendment into "harassment".  The article also applies "hindrance" to our activiites, conceding to the perjorative terminology employed by the "Washington Clinic Defense Task Force".  That is factually incorrect.  In no way do we hinder or block those going into the building.  We offer them information that is relevant to their situations - or at least we attempt to do so, for it is we who are hindered by the "clinic volunteers".  Here is some prima facie evidence.  Click here if you can't see embedded video.



One sentence in this editorial is almost breathtaking in its inadvertent honesty.  I quote: "Women entering clinics may not be in the best frame of mind to talk with a stranger and think seriously about their decision."  That's right!  The Gazette is admitting that many of these women are NOT thinking seriously about their decisions.  We simply urge them to do so, as a decision to abort their babies will have devastating consequences on them - maybe not immediately but those consequences will make their presence felt.   Later on the Gazette states that the decsion to abort is "life-changing".  We agree!  Should they not be offered all available information?  As you saw in the video, who's doing the "hindering"?  More importantly, who is being harmed by the "hindrance"?  The women - and their unborn children!

"Pro-Choice" Really Means Pro-DEATH

Enough of that silly "pro-choice" euphamism!  Why else would these deathscorts cheer as a baby is being driven into the mill (in Rockford IL) for slaughter?  Watch for yourselves.  After you watch, you make a commitment to go to your local abortion mill and offer prayers and support to the distraught and confused young mothers.  Click here if you can't see embedded video.

Clinic "Escorts" - Chump-ions of Choice!

I and a number of prolife activists are in front of abortuaries on a regular basis to pray and offer women real alternatives to the violence that they contemplate for themselves and their babies.  Extremely misguided individuals who consider themselves "escorts" attempt to hide the truth from the women.  Sometimes the "hiding" is quite overt.  Observe!  (Click here if you can't see embedded videos)



Pray for the conversion of these individuals.  They are obviously cooperating formally and materially with the sin of abortion.  Thus they themselves commit acts that are, objectively speaking, mortally sinful.  Their immortal souls are in grave danger.  Pray that they repent and veer off the path to damnation on which they currently exist.

Former Planned Parenthood Director Testifies to Effectiveness of Pro-Life Presence

A year or so ago, Abby Johnson, a director of a Planned Parenthood facility in Texas, left the abortuary trade and is now a committed pro-life activist.  Listen as she testifies to the power of the physcial presence of pro-life Christians.  She also takes note of the importance of clergy in front of the mills.



She gives valuable insight to some of the thinking of the abortion workers - and our potential for reaching them.  Again, I point out the importance of your physical presence in front of the death centers.  I certainly do advocate more prayer in Church - but such prayer cannot be taken on as a substitute for getting yourselves in front of the mills.  God is not pleased by that kind of sanctimoneous cop-out.  If it makes us uncomfortable, well so what?  We're not called to be comfortable, but to take up our crosses.
