Dissident Hymnast David Haas Coming To Maryland

I just received word that David Haas is scheduled to give a concert at St. Ignatius of Loyola in Ijamsville, MD.  It will happen Friday November 9 at 8pm.  See here why David Haas and his "works" have no place whatsoever in Catholic worship.  Here is the announcement from the church's facebook page.  Let's contact them to cancel.  If they won't, we'll consider a picket..

  1. We succeeded last week in having Bishop Silva of the Diocese of Honolulu cancel Haas as keynote speaker at the upcoming Damien & Marianne Conference in Honolulu in October. I had sent to the bishop in May the passages you link to here regarding Haas's views on Catholicism. Later others came forward to protest, and he was gone. It's an important turn of events, as Haas has been a fixture here in Hawaii at least since 1986 when he began coming for the Big Island Liturgical Arts Conferences.

    David Haas Unable to Attend

Aloha kakou. We look forward to gathering with you to give God glory and honor. Please pray fervently for our Church, her leadership, and all the faithful, that we may resist temptation, be merciful and persevere in our journey towards God. David Haas has decided to withdraw from this year’s Damien and Marianne Catholic Conference. Our website, promotional material and registration site are being updated with the latest speaker and session schedules. “Finally, draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power. Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil.” -Ephesians 6:10-11
